    • @KarenofCurlHouse
      @KarenofCurlHouse  Год назад

      Hey There! You can use anti-fungal shampoos, and oils with anti fungal properties such as tea tree is the one most widely use. Also lavender, lemongrass and oregano help as well. Also try apple cider vinegar rinses on the scalp particularly in the crown area. If you are looking for a product to help, the Curl House shampoo and growth drops will do the job as well. Also, stress reduction is key! Hair cortisol levels have a direct correlation with your hair follicles that may trigger scalp issues.

      Hey there! Chunky twists are fine because it helps to stretch your hair and set it for bed. But you can TRY just wrapping and covering it up before bed and see if you get the same results in terms of the style. So twist it on the days you apply the moisturizer, and just cover it on the days you don’t. Well TRY IT! But generally speaking - big chunky twists is far less manipulation than the small twists I did 😂

    • @KarenofCurlHouse

      ACV is a natural clarifier (or cleanser), so it will help to strip unwanted buildup off the hair. It is naturally acidic so it will also balance the ph of your scalp/hair and has a host of benefits for the scalp health as well (reduces inflammation, itchiness, etc)

    Hey Ms. Karen! So a question popped up b4 the end of the video: a raised cuticle is different from high porosity hair? The raised cuticle is what makes it high, right?
    Two questions, sorry, lol

    • @CurlTrek
      @CurlTrek Год назад

      Hair is high porosity when it has a raised cuticle. Typically in most healthy hair, the cuticles lay more flat, but if you have damage, bleach, etc, the cuticles will be raised and your hair is now high porosity. Sometimes they are raised naturally without damage.
      My hair is high porosity because I used bleach to give it highlights, so I alternate my treatments. For every two deep conditioning treatments I do, I will do one protein treatment to make sure the hair gets what it needs.
