    Hi Karen! This video was very informative! I've been wondering about all the oils you mentioned! Lol. And it's funny because I've recently been using sweet almond oil on my scalp, and when you said, "Will sweet almond oil clog the pores?" I was cringing! Lol. I was so relieved to see the rating! But the most surprising of all to me was hair grease! A rating of zero! I was like, "WOW!" Lol. My hair is neither thick or thin, and I have to be a little careful not to use too much of an oil because it'll weigh my hair down. My scalp also gets itchy, and my hairdresser washes it with a wonderful shampoo of rosemary and mint. I don't know the name of the shampoo. I recently used a tea tree and mint shampoo on myself, and it was okay, but no great tingle like I enjoy. Can you please recommend a good rosemary and mint shampoo? My scalp LOVES it!

    Hello Karen, once again you have bestowed wisdom unto the Lord's people. Per my comment in your video Reason Your Hair Hates Coconut Oil. You have a Heavenly Countenance. Your knowledge of hair care is definitely a blessing, it's truly your calling. Speaking for myself and I'm sure others agree as well. The Lord told Jeremiah to tell the people: Jeremiah 3: 15 And I will give you shepherds according to My heart, who will feed you with knowledge and understanding.

      What a blessing to love that which the Lord has called you to do. Actually, it's like a double portion...being chosen by the Lord to fulfill His call as well as loving and enjoying the mission. It just doesn't get much better than that. I am a 2 times breast cancer survivor, healed by the Lord and saved by His grace through faith. Every day of life is precious and shouldn't be taken for granite. So, when we see one of God's chosen fulfilling their appointed mission, we should acknowledge and thank them as well as praise the Lord. Thanks again and keep up the good work👏🏾👏🏾 @@KarenofCurlHouse

  • @avril3294

    Hi Karen I love watching your videos and find them very informative. However, I'm very confused about oil as a sealant. We all know that oil and water don't mix so if we seal our hair with oil, how do we then hydrate/ moisturise (the next day or whenever) as it won't penetrate through the layer of oil. Are you able to shed any light on this dilemma please?

    • @KarenofCurlHouse
      @KarenofCurlHouse  11 месяцев назад +3

      Hi Avril! So sorry about the late reply. Very good question! The seal barrier is PERMEABLE -- so it's not an absolute seal. Water can still pass through, but the oil layer slows down this process (or prevents moisture loss). To give an example, if you were to put hair grease all throughout your hair, and jump in the pool -- the hair will still get wet -- not as quickly, but eventually it will get wet -- so water can still permeate through the oil layer, which is why you can re-moisturize your hair the next day if you need to. Hopefully applying the oil will actually extend the frequency of your moisture cycle though. I think I will create a video on this question, since I am asked this question quite often -- I think I need to clarify 😜

    • @mz.m5513
      @mz.m5513 11 месяцев назад
