That end song 😂 this is the best plumbing channel out there by far and it’s in the UK, what a bonus! I’m gonna tackle our bathroom reno by myself and I can’t tell you how much confidence your videos have given me to give it a crack. And if I f*** it up then I’ll send it to you for the disasters. Cheers James 👍
I’m glad professionals also say ‘30 mil’ when they mean ‘30 centimetres’ and not just me. Long as you put the mark in the right place doesn’t matter eh? 30 fallangies would do.
Some tips on pipe bending would be good. I can manage simple 90s but takes me ages (or multiple attempts!) to get any more complicated bends in the right place.
Hi mate. I've watched the video, very helpful, but one question - there are copper pipes, but the radiator do not have any bonding - is it up to the wiring regs? Or is it solved other way not shown in this video? Thanks.
I’m absolutely loving these videos. So funny and very clear. Where you’ve cut those boards though, how will they stay supported as the ends aren’t on a joist ?
After you’ve drained down like that is it not worth putting inhibitor in the system? Or is there enough left in the parts of the system not fully drained?
I need your Help!!! Can you help me solve a problem with my towel radiator. I have dropped a huge bollick 🤷♂️ I have pipework buried in my wall all tiled etc 448mm centres, but my towel radiator is 468mm 😬 It’s a vertical rack with 90 degree elbows… is there any way around not pulling off tiles!!! Help
Good morning Jimmy, great vid mate, particularly like the bum crack shave tip, off to do some manscaping as I'm going to be jammed under a kitchen sink later and don't want to scare my customer! UP THE ALE ARMY!!!!!!
So what is used on the towel rail spigots? You said loctite but it looks like you're using PTFE tape. Or is it tape made by loctite? Or is it PTFE tape & loctite thread lock? Any one know?
Can't TELL you how you & your channel's are keeping me on it these days! 👊🏼 Any top tips ( or vids ) for the old chrome, towel rail tails up thru a tiled floor..?! Cheers.. 🙏🏼
Mate i have a question a friend of mine wants to change the toilet old ugly one and i think it is a closed couple one.the question is her shit pipe mildly put is coming from the left, what kind of toilet would she need to go for? Im assuming it will be another cc but advise from a top geezer would be helpful.
I have a wolfcraft 4042000 Telescopic Support (was plaster boarding my celling ) with one of those camera clamps that will clamp onto round things for my laser level. its much easier to move up and down to get the horizontal line where you need it and you don't need so much floor space as a tripod. will also go higher than a tripod also. You can get them from Amazon. hope this is of some help.
Are you also offering pipes coming out the wall? I made this a lott off times nowadays, looks pretty smart but could be a pain in the ass to make sometimes
I need your Help!!! Can you help me solve a problem with my towel radiator!!! The pipe work in the wall is set at 468mm Centres but the Towel radiator is set at 448mm!!! 😬 it’s a vertical rad with 90 degree elbows. Any support or suggestions would be greatly appreciated, as I have dropped the biggest bollick of the century 🤷♂️
plumberparts. wow. Bit of a bummer about the night time pilot licence though. Loving this series by the way. It’s making me realise my bathroom isn’t a DIY job😂
Is there a minimum distance between 15mm radiator feed tees from the 22mm main pipes e.g. when two radiators are in the same place but either side of a wall. Will the tees being say only 6 inches apart cause turbulence / flow problems?
Hi, quick question what’s the make/model of the radiator you installed? Looking to renovate my bathroom soon and really like the style of that one. Happy to use your trade site if you have a link? On a side note does “bundy10” work on it also?😂😁 Hope you will be able to help and loving this series on the bathroom! Thanks Neil
Hi Neil, The radiator can be found here: www.traderadiators.com/reina-fano-towel-rail-aluminium-designer-satin-1240x485mm It's a great looking rad and made of aluminium so it's nice and lightweight, easy to handle and heats up quicker than the steel counterpart. Great vid Jimmy 👍
Sat on the sofa on a Saturday morning drinking tea, eating boiled eggs on toast living the vicarious thrill of central heating plumbing, knowing full well that it's all an impossible fantasy as likely for me as becoming the first astronaut to step foot on Mars. I can barely bleed the rads without spilling black mucky water on the floor 😆
Unless there is a steel in the way you can always get the pipes in the wall. James is a great plumber but Im a Kitchen and Bathroom guy and its all about aesthetics
@@danfrancis1984 totally agree, about James and the Aesthetics, I have one tall corner larder/oven housing in my kitchen, it was fitted very slightly off plumb on one side and because of this out just out of square, enough that you can't align the doors perfectly, nobody else notices the very slight misalignment this has caused on the doors, but I know it's there and I can see so it drives me mad. I'm not a professional within the building trade, work in precision engineering so have to stop thinking in tolerances of in the tens of thousands of an inch. always rate a tradesman by attention to detail, worth paying the extra to get that especially on the expensive projects like kitchens and bathrooms.
@@danfrancis1984 For me I prefer the pipes coming out of the floor, rather than out of the wall and 90 up (which I've done a few others in my house!) it's all personal opinion innit...
Why didn’t you bring the pipes out of the wall on to angled valves ? And also you missed the Center of the joist when you cut them so note to sit floor board back on
I want to have a go at plumping up a rad but i got two pipes underneath the floor capped off but how do I know which pipe goes on which side of the rad please
instead of a heat mat i use some aluminium closure plate and a wet rag behind. You deffo need to make a plumber parts album could have a great plumber parts album names!
Plz do some bending videos would love 1 that shows u a cross over with a offset on 1 pipe I use a hand bender but I can’t find a easy way of measuring a crossover then a bend/offset on 1 pipe ps love the videos
Keeping the rad valves on in my opinion isn’t the best thing personally for a first fix cos the finished tile look on the floor won’t look as good due to the fact the tiler would have to cut slits instead of a nice tile hole
Small notches for 15mm pipe is fine. I don’t like cutting joists for waste pipe tho, unless you have 8 inch joists. Also; why not chase rad pipes in wall rather than have them coming out if the floor?
OK iv at least two questions Number 1,how in the name of baby Jesus and his little golden fleece do you sit on your ankles without being in agony and no knee pads??!!!! Number 2,when draining down why don't you close off all the rads and just drain the pipework instead??

Did you swap the rad valves for the danfoss dynamic valves? Did u find the stright through version or had to modify your pipework?
BEST PLUMBER ON RUclips
I love the spacing between the towel rail. You can actually easily hang a towel on it.
revolutionary!
Seriously, if the plumbing work ever dries up , unlikely I know , but stand-up comedy should be your next call . 😄
Great vid loved the live commentary on this in the ale army
Haha! Cheers Dysan, see you on Thursday mate.
Nice job!
Check out Motorsport Exhaust wrap for heating matt.. maybe is avalible in suited dimension...

Love seeing the pulled bends!
Yeah boi!
8mm open end spanner, great for opening drain offs rather than bulky adjustables 😉
After you’ve drained down like that is it not worth putting inhibitor in the system? Or is there enough left in the parts of the system not fully drained?
Would u say there is a difference to putting pipes through the wall? Would you recommend that?

Would using push-fit's be a bad idea for moving this rail? What's the reason for using this over what seems to be the easier option? more solid?
Nothing gets me more rigid than a perfectly bent pipe 👌🏼 Well the ratchet pipe slice did actually, loveleyyyyy
Ha! Glad you 'enjoyed'

Great video James.. be good if you can do a new series of pipe bending videos when you have time 🙏
Yes please to some additional pipe bending. Question, would you put pipe clips on the joist, or is it too short a run to worry?
How long have you had those pipe benders? Are they the BendItNow ones?
If you could do some new pipe bending videos that would be great.

Off topic, but how does the colour blind thing work? Do you perceive red and green as the same colour?

Hi any chance of doing a video on wood stove central heating system
How did you identify which was the flow and which was the return pipe please.
Turn the heating on from completely cold, and go and grab both pipes. The one that gets warm first is the flow.

oo what sort of style rad is that?! like the simple-ness of it ?!

Good shout on the hammer arrestor.

Negate the issue by using a universal TRV. Then it doesn’t matter 😎
