  • Plumbing Problems!! Just another day in the life of a plumber! First Day back and we had a nightmare and i wasn't just the plumbing problems that was a problem on this day! We are going to re pipe a radiator as its never heated up correctly leaving the customer cold and frustrated. All the basic radiator and plumbing checks have been done prior to attending this job and it was agreed with the customer to re pipe this 1800 x 600 double radiator feeds from 10mm to 15mm pipework.
The Job was going quite well then we had our first problem which didn't involve plumbing which started when the customer asked us to move the van. After overcoming that fault we started to refill the system and test, that is when the biggest problem occurred which didn't was plumbing related.
THIS ONE caught us out a bit but i would love to know your opinions, would you have done the same or got to the fault quicker?

I remember years ok on B G I replaced a boiler the old boiler had a pump over run I I made a note of the wires from the old boiler I was all finished when the electrician arrived so I left him to it next minute I heard bang he blow the board up then he locked his keys in the van I felt sorry for him had a right bad day

Had a similar issue before on a cylinder return in 15mm barrier pipe. Top tip if you run a magnet on the outside of the pipe you should find the blockage as the magnet will stick to to pipe

Years back we had that non-barrier pipe feeding radiators in an extension done by previous owners. Turned the rads into sludge buckets by letting oxygen into the system.

Hi this is one of the best videos I’ve seen on here. Absolutely brilliant to finally get to the bottom of it. Perfect demonstration of a topical job that can run you round a bit but yo fixed the problem and had ya van fixed while earning you could have been sat waiting and waiting. Love your videos you show it all top man and the fire extinguisher is a must you’ve made me get one and have it at hand 👍

I absolutely despise 10mm! Had to fit 8 designer rads in customers house, all on 10mm pipework😅

Have been in these situations so many times. This actually done me a favour as i have two separate properties both with one rad that doesn’t work. Both were builder installs not done by a plumber! Have a feeling its blocked ball o fix valves fitted somewhere on the pipes! Well done for sorting it!👊🏼👍🏼

Love watching these as it shows me the difference between onsite plumbing which I do and house hold plumbing

Great fault finding to narrow it down Luke! My heart sinks everytime I walk into a job and I see 8mm or 10mm copper on the heating system! Top vid as always!
Good luck to everyone for the giveaway!

Ah Luke, that's one of them jobs where every logical thing you do makes sense but doesn't work 🤦🏾‍♂️ but that feeling when you find it and it confirms you were right and knew what you were doing 🔥

It was mate, was gutted when it didn’t work and frustrated when taking up boards not knowing what to expect but when I found it, sorted it and got them working, worth all the effort 👊👍
