    When you have dot and dab you should try putting the plugs in the holes and then with a screw and hammer, tap the plug through the plasterboard wall and into the hole that you have drilled into the brick behind. Add a inch to your screw length.

    Brilliant, thanks for your time and the upload. In this situation for me, you move to adjusting one of the brackets out of level to true up the rad, sometimes a radiator will also be dead level but because the wall, skirts and floor aren't true, it still doesnt look right, especially in older properties, you end up occasionally eying things up, but excellent upload, great tips expanding my knowledge from my level 2 c@g

    Where the bracket sits on the Rad they are wrong most of the time due to manufactures messing up on welding the mounts, best thing to do is leave one bracket floating on the wall and adjust with the Rad on, when u get the Rad level mark the bracket and tighten that bad boy up. The rad will always be level that way, the brackets itself don’t have to be level, hope that makes sense

    I spent ages scratching my head trying to get my living room radiator level. Turned out the middle straps had been welded slightly lower than the left and right straps!
    Out of curiosity, why did you go to all the bother of re-soldering flow and return only to keep the radiator offset to the left like that?

    • @bluebulldog_uk
      @bluebulldog_uk  6 месяцев назад

      To be honest I just lined it up with the right hand pipe and adjusted the left, there is a small utility to left which is unheated so closer to that I suppose…never even thought of that you know 😂

    The top covers of modern radiators are very flimsy and often get bent even in the packaging so I always take them off before I starting hanging so level goes onto the top of the radiator. Or one of the plastic supports had been knocked off!!

    Rule number , never give a quote as a price straight away , always say it’s an estimated quote , you experience enough to know this a sheit job 😂 specially when you see street elbows on a pipe work , I never use them for radiator installs they’re very awkward fittings, and it’s to easy to kink the street elbows on a compression fittings than a copper pipe itself … 😅
