    WOW !! - seen several vids by plumbers, and this is easily the best. Thanks Mark for taking time and effort to do a "proper job". No wobbly camerawork, no annoying music, just lots of really useful info from an experienced, methodical, calm, "instructor"; including little things the others (the bodgers?) omitt to mention, like using smooth grips to safeguard new valves, or measuring twice before drilling, and so on. AND best of all for me, this boiler is the same as ours, an old-style Vaillant - your vid had shown me in one minute what's taken me hours to find elsewhere, wrt re-pressurising the system. I just wish the towel rail we inherited with our house is as massive as this one. Thanks again !.

    Incredibly well organised and informative mini-tutorial that's well worth watching from start to finish. If anything, this will save time and effort by doing it right the first time. Now, where are my goggles and Speedos in case I turn the house into a swimming pool! Thanks for the brilliant video.😉

    Hi, well stated about the amount of times you wrap the ptfe tape around, too many people doing similar jobs on here quote 8-10 wraps! Clearly that’s not enough, 1 do 21-22 plus jet blue as well, proper instructions for those whom want to have a go fitting a radiator.

    • @user-go8oj4dl4w
      @user-go8oj4dl4w 5 месяцев назад

      The instructions for my towel radiator say 'at least 6 wraps'. I'm going to do a few more (despite the time and extra expense!).

    Good timing. My towel radiator sprung a leak a week ago. It's fairly old and one of the rails must have rusted through. I've isolated it and bought a replacement which looks like it will fit exactly. So I will hopefully get everything to line up with the old valves and avoid needing to go as far as draining down or putting bungs in the hot water feed. A smaller radiator sprung a leak a few days before (hopefully not a pattern forming) so I'm going to have a look at your videos to swap that one over too.

    mate your 20 winds of ptfe tape saved my bacon today. 1st time fitting a towel radiator and the threads were awful. did 5-6 wraps first off and it leaked. then luckily found your video and thought 20 winds was crazy but thank you it has worked. threads must be so cheaply made.

    Could you tell me why are towel rails connected on the bottom, meanwhile regular radiators have heat running from the top, and the cold water getting out on the opposite sides bottom?

    Brilliant video, really helpful thank you, just in time too, I'm going to be fitting the exact same towel radiator so, again, really helpful. one last thing, where do you buy your jet lube from, I've looked on the internet and it all seems to come from America and they want loads of money for postage! thanks.

    Bit puzzled as to how the 4 angled male pieces attached to the rails , just slid into the corresponding 4 female straight pieces attached to the wall ?. Doesnt seem possible somehow !!. Unless there is a lot of slack between the male and female ...
