Back when I had long hair I used to do it the old school way, when I knew I had a formal event coming up I simply washed my hair like 5 days before the event, and when the event came up I already had pretty oily hair which added a lot of natural shine to it and also because it was 5 days "old" there wasn´t a single flyaway and everything was smooth. You can do it washed as well, just add the hair oil you´re using :D In my opinion, the bun generally looks better when its with oil in hair, than with using products, that´s just my preference though
Thanks Luka , I’ve been following since Covid snd growing my hair through this . I’m now to the length where I can do a small bun or I should say , twist my hair into a knot snd hold it in place with a side comb . The video has been very helpful as I’ve always had deadly short hair and wondered how the bun was held together . I’ve never been creative when my girls were younger , it was always just the norm . I’m trying to get into some styles now . Cheers Luka , your videos are always great to watch 😀
Hey luca, just a quick question, doesn't this hairstyle damage the hair also leading to a receding hairline as the bun looks super tight? Im talking about traction alopecia!
Hairline is mostly genetic, doesn’t really matter what style you have. My hairline is slightly receding and up until the previous 9 months, I hadn’t attempted to grow my hair out for 5 years.
How did you make your hair to be on the same level like i know you started with the top of your hair being longer than the sides so what did you do to make your hair level the same everywhere
Been growing my hair for around 9 months now, I’m just about at the stage where I can tie it up and clip the sides. Not quite long enough for a bun yet but I reckon another 3-4 months I should be able to tie it a bit more convincingly. The awkward stage is tough but just grit and bear it. I’ve spent the last 2 months with my hair in a headband or cap just because I can’t be bothered styling it 😂
Bro are you gonna do the straight to curly/wavy hair with sea salt tutorial? 😭I’m on the cusp of getting a slight perm since no one else has done a tutorial
can i get some tips on long hair bc i have long hair but they fall alot whenever i shower or comb i need some tips of shredding to be reduced of stopped i lose around 60 hair strands everyday
yo i also have long hair but its curly and its got supper tangled and idk what to do all i hear is just brush it but its really bad do you have any tips?
How do I stop my hair falling out?? Like if I apply any product and rub it through Everytime I put my fingers through my hair even super gently I get 5-6 hairs in my hairs every single time…. Also how to I stop fly aways and frizz? When my hairs dry I look in the mirror and like 50% of all my hair is just a frizzy fly away mess..
Yep, embrace it. My hair is PIN STRAIGHT and I swear I’d give anything to have a little bit of natural wave/curl to it. My hair literally looks like a Karen Bob if I don’t spend about 20 minutes styling it. Be grateful you don’t need to do this :)
@@Jay-ob4tiI like my waves/ curls but I don't know how to style it properly sometimes. My hair is also thick and gets dry a lot. Not only that, part of my uniform is wearing a hat most day of the week. U got any advice?
It hasn’t stopped growing, the growth is just less noticeable. Depending on what length you started growing your hair from & what length it is now, will determine how noticeable the growth is. I started growing my hair 9 months ago, I used to have medium length on the top and a 2 on the sides, so I basically grew it from a fade. Your hair only grows so much in a month so once you reach a certain stage the growth isn’t as obvious as it used to be, for me this stage was round 5-6 months in. Taking progress pictures helps with this; take a picture in front of a mirror with your hair hanging down straight, take the same picture at the same time each month and you’ll be able to track your hair growth more accurately.
At this point I am able to wear my hair in a bun. I even got told that it looks better than if I wear it down, but i don´t really like having it in a bun becuase of the hair on the back of the neck that sticks out and looks ´´messy´´
I've been watching you for ages and I'm a year and a half in which means I'm in a very awkward phase! The front of my hair isn't grow as fast as the rest which is give me a poofy lorde farquaad look lol. Watching these vids to keep me from cutting it
Surely you’re able to tie your hair back now? I’m only 9 months in but I can just about tie the back & clip the sides. It doesn’t very presentable & I probably wouldn’t wear it out in public but I’d imagine 18 months in you can comfortably achieve the look in the video?
Being versatile. Having long hair allows you to experiment with different styles, particularly for different occasions. Plus, having long hair can be annoying at times, it’s much easier being able to tie it back and clean it up than it is to keep swatting it out of your face every 10 seconds.

It’s probably okay for the occasional formal event

Tysm!!!❤️✨

How long is your hair ?
@@Guywhocares just over 6 inc as of today, but i have had multiple trims for overall health of my hair which I and luca both recommend
@@user-dylanyorke so basically it reaches till your chin? And can you do da man bun?
@@Guywhocares not quite yet hopefully within a few months but thats mainly because my hair is super curly
@@Guywhocares random late update, but i’ve been able to tie it all up about a month after i commented this it’s now just over 8 inches now
How much time it takes to you to dry all your hair in that case?
This just reads as an advertisement, you can get this look (or 98% of the way there) with no product at all
I needed this thanks!!!
I need a help .....I need a hair care routine for long hair ..... please........🙏
Bro are you gonna do the straight to curly/wavy hair with sea salt tutorial? 😭I’m on the cusp of getting a slight perm since no one else has done a tutorial
Same as you, my hair is pin straight and it’s so annoying, I’m gonna give it another 2-3 months and get a wavy perm done to it.
Gonna try this thanks
That’s interesting I’ve never used any pre-stylus I just tied up with a hair tie

I can recommend hair defining creme for this style, works very well
Well ik what im gonna be practicing the next coupla days😂. Also hows your training for the marathon goin so far?
This what i want im about 1 year and 2 months not long eniugh yet as it gets longer is it easier to tie and make clean nice bun
Are you still taking Finasteride and applying Minoxidil?
Thanks for the video 😊❤️🥰
yo i also have long hair but its curly and its got supper tangled and idk what to do all i hear is just brush it but its really bad do you have any tips?
Hair ties hurt for me it feels like its pulling on my hair which makes me worried it will cause damage. Am i doing something wrong or is it normal?
Normal, it’s supposed to be tight to keep it in place. You’ll probably find it’ll be easier to tie back comfortably the longer it gets.
Should I wet my hair everytime I shower? even when Im not washing it?
no
I think it’s best to wear a shower cap to keep it dry if you don’t need to use shampoo/conditioner

I'm on a hair growing journey but I'm noticing that after a certain length my hair stopped growing, should I keep it as it is or its sign to cut ?
