@@DoodleDate Steph has it right! Swatching is important! I use different sketchbooks; sometimes the paper eats marker inks and sometimes it sits atop the paper for a bit. It's also important to check to see if it bleeds through! :
I'm missing a deep forest green from this set. THere's also too many blue-ish greens in it looking at the swatches, and those I wouldn't mind having less of in a set.
@@DoodleDate I have a 75pc set of Shinhan Touch markers that I built up over the years, it only has 2 minty shades of green but many yellow greens, some olive greens and a few desaturated greens that look more natural. I have quite the variety in all colors, but I tend to gravitate towards the more natural shades when picking new colors. On the contrary I use very bright and saturated colors when I do my digital pieces :) The downside of buying a set like this is that you can't choose the shades yourself. And I'm very picky with colors. But it's a win if you like all colors in it :)
I had sort of assumed that you would probably both end up drawing something plant themed with an all green color pallete so i couldn't help but laugh a little when you both drew animals.
Oh gosh, the blue and yellow sketchbooks are the exact same brand I have used for a few years now. I love how they can handle watercolours pretty well along with other medias. Hope you will enjoy using those :3 So hyped to have another video from you two ✨❤️
We were both super impressed with how they held up to markers as well! There was a little bleed through but honestly theyre just such cute little sketchbooks we aint gonna complain LOL
@@DoodleDate oh yeah, they tend to let markers bleed through a little and from what I have experimented with mine, if you use ink and apply lots on the pages, it might bleed through. But apart from that the sketchbooks are pretty handy ✨

9:59 that is the reason why I love your film setup. If the camera where mounted, we wouldn't have gotten such a primal reaction. But here, with Steph's shaking, we can feel her shock/surprise/amusement, even though we can't see her. That made is very funny and caught me completly of guard!
I'll be honest, I thought you'd draw something plant themed, yet you both drew such cute little animal illustrations! I love the design and the details in both of them. 💚
I've really enjoyed my Arrtx markers- I have the portrait set and the pastels set. They have introduced an "Oros" line that has a brush tip ("Alp" have the bullet nib) and they perform very well. Plus, yes, the packaging is beautiful, and functional. For the price point, they are an excellent choice.
I'm just happy to see bedroom videos again... it's like the good ol' days. I understand wanting to do it at your desks though cause I had to use my bed to sit on and make art. it's not always as comfy as one might think. Also you got this Steph!

While a pack of 80 Ohuhu markers is about $59 CA ($47.11 US) (please excuse my math with money- Canadian conversion is so difficult haha!) I've been using Ohuhu since I wanna say 2018, Adam and Steph were actually the ones to introduce me to the brand!! But last summer I got the 90 pack of Arrtx Markers. Really, if you're looking for cheaper markers, Ohuhu does a couple of other sets that a lot of people don't know about! They're alcohol-based as well, just the markers are a little smaller. Although, if you're looking for more for your money, I'd go for Arrtx, solely because I've had them for almost a year and they haven't shown me any imperfections. I've had 3 sets of Ohuhu (bullet nib and brush nib) and I've seen that the ink starts to bleed out of the capsule, the nibs become dry, etc. Arrtx does smaller sets too if you just want to get your hands on them that sell for cheaper! And then if you would like to, Arrtx does a super cool side brand called Arrtx OROS which are their brush-tipped markers! I haven't tried them just yet, but I've heard a lot of really good reviews! I hope this helps! :)

I love the Art Creations sketchbooks by Royal Talens. I find them perfect for me! And they come in so many formats and colours... Although I always choose the red one 😂 I wonder if I should get the square one next. I either use the big one or the smallest one for my illus. PS. I like green 😂💚

As far as I know, the McDonalds here where I live in West Tennessee in the US, as well as in any McDonalds around any part of the US I've been, do not have bags of cucumbers. I haven't been to McDonalds in YEARS, but I'm sure that's still the case.

From my Art School days (a very long time ago) I seem to remember that Piet Mondrian didn’t like Green and would put the blinds down when travelling in a train when going past countryside.

Nooooo green is my favorite color!!! I only wear black and green and my hair is black and green as well haha. Green is the color of plant life and spring and also some frogs and toads!!! This is the dream marker set for me 🪴🦎🐸💚

Yeah it needs more forest, olive,neutral greens, its a lot of mint and lime and teal
@@Ddalgiichigo I find the Shinhan ink palette lacking in natural greens in general, 43 is always my go to but a decent willow would be good.

As far as I know, the McDonalds here where I live in West Tennessee in the US, as well as in any McDonalds around any part of the US I've been, do not have bags of cucumbers. I haven't been to McDonalds in YEARS, but I'm sure that's still the case.
