I just got mine and I can't seem to get "touch to focus" to work. With the GH5 I could just drag the little focus box and it would focus what was inside of it, but with this I have to press the little AF button on the touch screen to get it to focus. Did you have any trouble with this?
I think is GH6 is a way to go... Love my GH4 and skipping GH5 (while now its no much reason to buy, and better wait few months (hope)). Have no see huge difference with S1 and S1R.... they had better to put effort and make S1U (ultra :)) - one perfect camera instead of spreading features (or featureless)...
MFT sensors are to small. Smaller sensors bring low iso performance, bigger sensor collect more light ... same with the resolution. Small pixel will collect less light then a bigger one. This physical law tell us that the best camera should have a big sensor and a low resolution, then you will get the best quality per pixel. So its not possible to get a S1R and a S1H in one camera. You should not wait for GH6, the GH5 had a horrible iso performance and i think gh6 will also have ... Full frame > micro-four-thirds.
First: NO OFFENCE! but i have to say the video feels like 2 different videos in one. When he talks it sounds like he is talking about the absolute rocket!!! When the footage is shown it looks like my mom has played with her lg g4 back in 2015.

Lumix (Panasonic) s1 H is great even with heavy anamorphic lens attached highly recommend with the L mount. + 422 10 bit codec

5.9k is not 422 10 bit. Thats only available up to DCI.

Would you say that the IBIS of the S1H is better than in the GH5 or not?
The IBIS in the S1H and the S1 is probably the best I've ever used, it certainly feels better than in the GH5 if that helps :-)
