That Scope-o-meter is a fine piece of kit, I remember the first time that you brought it out! Yeah the back axle of my blue RX-7 is grindy as hell, could be body rub, could be the axle channel or even a hub error. I try to stay optimistic about correcting defects. Every casting has potential, some need a lot of work though. Eagerly awaiting your next with the large Corvette model!!
Yes!! I have seen your work there on the wheels now and again! A possible side benefit is you're reducing the contact patch on the track, less friction?
@BlueLineRacing-dp1pp After testing with and without shaving the wheels, at least on my track, shaving them gave a better result. But hey, how can I argue with someone of your experience...I'm just a noob lol!
All looking good there Bill!
Wheels and axles, most of the time yeah, they can be a headache!
Will be watching the progress!
Cheers
I needs me one of them magnifiers.
The old reading glasses just don't cut it.
You want the wheels to stick out a little. If the body rubs sidewalls it’s over
Be great to see you downunder again! Cheers Marc D

Ok. The wheels sticking out (on the silver one) can cause some drag.
I use 1200 grit sandpaper to narrow them down so they tuck in under the guards.

Ahhhhh!!! I never thought about that! I will try that on a practice car first though. WOW, Thanks.
You do not want this. You want the wheels to stick out. Wheels hitting the rail is better than the body hitting the rail
The Charger the much better option
