The route at 6:40 that you broke down also has the threat of the "Davante Adams" cross over to hit the slant. I bet if you watch the film he has hit him with that once or twice before or after this. DB seems to hesitate hard expecting the inside cross over. I call it the Davante Adams because he's literally the master of this type of release.
We are on a deep lockdown again in Germany and Im only allowed to leave my house for grocery shopping or a walk, so to see a new Brett Kollmann video and especially about a fantastic receiver which is my fav position I just can say: Thank you for one of the few bright spots in this tough situation!
Just wanted to say thanks for the good content Brett! Your advice for sleepers and rookies really helped me in dynasty. Jefferson, McLauren, Gibson, Claypool, Jonnu all have been solid. And I think Mims is a QB away from breaking out. Keep up the great work!

Keeping pace with or even outshining someone as consistent as Thielen is a big accomplishment for a veteran WR, let alone a Rook. Kid is scary powerful, fast, and equipped with a veteran savvy that is far beyond his experience level. Great vid BK!

Someone send this to Jeffery Lurie. Not only is Howie constantly missing on future HOF players in DK and Jefferson but he’s picking busts every year that only he thinks will pan out!
That skip step that you're talking about here reminds me so much of the way Allen Iverson would gather himself with a small skip and then blow by a defender or cross over or step back. It was an incredible move to create separation .
Thanks Brett, this is my third season subscribed. Keep up the great content! In my fantasy semi finals this year largely due to drafting Claypool and Jefferson bc of your videos!

Huge fan of your videos, Brett, and I always get excited when I see you did a video on my Vikings, good or bad! The only thing I kinda disagree with in this video is the last comment about him being the only thing making Vikings games watchable for us fans, ever since the game in Green Bay, I'd say the team as a whole has been more fun to watch, especially when Dalvin Cook is (pun intended) cooking, and then Jefferson and Thielen start getting fed in the play action, our offense has been fun to watch, and to me anyway, it's been fun to watch our defense improve week after week, seeing our young DBs get better and better Kinda rambly, I know, but I just wanna say, I as a Vikings fan like watching more than just Justin Jefferson (even though he's fun as hell to watch), and once again, great video!
as a corner was taught if you press and the receiver likes to skip step, to hit him w a good press to the chest. if you can get a good hit, while they are in the air, the receiver has NO chance. but as you coulda guessed, high risk, high reward. if you miss or receiver tricks you, then they gonna have 10x better positioning than if you did nothing
Im just happy for him. Know him and his bro from the Destrehan days. He got this out the mud and it shows on every rep. From 1st LSU spring practice to now, all effort no shortcuts
Hey Brett, this might seem super outta left field, but when you make a video about good WR's and why their technique is so good, it makes me wanna see the flipside of that. The Cornerback. It makes me think of the Darrelle Revis days and makes me wonder why his technique made it almost impossible to "get off the island" if you were. I know your thing is to make videos about new players and stuff, but I would LOVE to see a video on some of the greats of old and WHY they will go down in history. I know all of that was WAY outta left field. Love your videos man.
Bro we need a channel or website or something for all the drinks you make, where you get the alcohol, and how to get better at making them. Also amazing content keep this up
Joe Burrow wasn’t the only one who got experience in an NFL style offense at at the college level at LSU. Jefferson was increasingly good his final year at LSU because that’s where he got so good at reading defenses and styling up his routes accordingly in that Joe Brady offense. The same reason Burrow, Clyde Edwards-Helaire, and even offensive lineman drafted from LSU like Damien Lewis are playing so well as rookies. It’s no coincidence that they all look like solid products after only the first few games of their career.

His speed burst clearly helps him move down the field vertically and allows him that extra split second of adjustment to get under the ball for the catch. It's quite acrobatic and it looks like he's playing touch football the way he moves his body so fluidly at the point of attack. It's quite interesting to watch him. And to think it all happens in a matter of seconds is insane
If Jefferson is playing like this, imagine Jamar Chase
Vikings should draft Jamar Chase also lmao
I think chase might be the better talent but that viks system is crazy productive for 2 wrs. It’d be hard to bet he plays a better rookie year than JJ . JJ Having of the best rookie wrs ever imo
@@Mrwatercooler yeah you’re probably right. The most ideal situation for the LSU receivers would be Terrence Marshall in Green Bay
@@Mrwatercooler yeah agreed
Jaire Alexander vs Justin Jefferson 2 times a year is gonna be 🔥🔥🔥 for the next few years & maybe beyond. Love your content Brett! #GOPACKGO
Probably the best rookie WR
Not probably, the best rookie WR
@@goatmaro9518 was there supposed to be a comma in there or are you saying he isn’t probably the best
@@aidans4588 nah just wrote fast and forgot thanks for reminding me
Your channel is flat out amazing. I didn't really get into watching/analyzing football until this year, but the amount I've learned about the game just from watching your videos is incredible. Thanks so much for the great content Brett!
Eagles really took Reagor over Jefferson
The route at 6:40 that you broke down also has the threat of the "Davante Adams" cross over to hit the slant. I bet if you watch the film he has hit him with that once or twice before or after this. DB seems to hesitate hard expecting the inside cross over. I call it the Davante Adams because he's literally the master of this type of release.
He's on pase to have more yards in his rookie year than randy moss
We are on a deep lockdown again in Germany and Im only allowed to leave my house for grocery shopping or a walk, so to see a new Brett Kollmann video and especially about a fantastic receiver which is my fav position I just can say:
Thank you for one of the few bright spots in this tough situation!
Not only did the eagles pass up on him, they also passed and DK and Cee Dee.
Deebo, AJ Brown, Mclaurin, Aiyuk, Higgins, Claypool
@@rkbelmont1138 DK and Cee Dee>all of them
@@gavinbrentz2230 Giants fan here, wasn't Cee Dee off the board already? Unless you mean to say they should've traded up ahead of the Cowboys.
Just wanted to say thanks for the good content Brett! Your advice for sleepers and rookies really helped me in dynasty. Jefferson, McLauren, Gibson, Claypool, Jonnu all have been solid. And I think Mims is a QB away from breaking out. Keep up the great work!
Helps that Kirk Cousins has great chemistry with him this quickly.
I would like to day that an underated thing about film room episodes that I really appreciate is that brett puts his sponsorship segments at the end of the video instead of hamfisting them into the middle. It's nice
eagles fans crying as they watch this video
I hate howie roseman with a passion
@@adamftk9244 lol i’m a pats fan rn i would take any wide receiver
it's true
Yes I am
@Derek Savage i’m just saying they are upset watching this video because they could have gotten that guy but yea it is doug peterson and the GM fault
That’s the best transition to a merch plug that I’ve ever seen
Why not do a video on Davantae Adams?? I think you would enjoy his film. Great video
Brett! Love your work. Have a video idea - with all the chatter about who's calling plays for various teams this year, firing Gregg Williams, etc, who are the best offensive/defensive playcallers this year? (Based on metrics of your choosing)
Clicked as soon as I got a notification, Justin Jefferson is a testament to LSU being WRU
Idk man don't get me wrong LSU put out some baller WR but Bama up there also and Bama has RBs on deck too lol
LSU is definitely DB U
@@JeanJoseph25 true
The WR vs CB breakdowns are some of my favorite. Thanks again for a baller video!
Imagine him and davante adams on the same team🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
I saw you tweet about some people bitching about you drinking in your opening scenes. Ignore them, I think it’s a dope af way to open your videos. Keep up the awesome work!
You know you're a special talent when you make Kirk Cousins look elite
Keeping pace with or even outshining someone as consistent as Thielen is a big accomplishment for a veteran WR, let alone a Rook. Kid is scary powerful, fast, and equipped with a veteran savvy that is far beyond his experience level. Great vid BK!
They went from Diggs to Jefferson, from one great route runner to another. I dont know how they keep finding these guys.
Thielen also a good route runner in his own right
@@unclebrew258 well yeah, Theielen is a great red zone route runner
I love these videos so much. Always highlighting something new or focusing on stuff most "analysts" ignore. Keep crushing these dude!
We need a Aaron Rodgers and Davantae Adams film room asap
Nah we don’t want the curse
Check out Alex Rollins channel for that... He is pretty goo himself
I have been looking forward to this one. Coming from a New Orleans kid watching him this one has been inevitable in my opinion.
Watched your videos back in the offseason when I was itching for football content and your videos on Metcalf Mims and Jefferson look like they might take me to the promised land this year. Love your videos and podcast. Keep up the great work, eh? 🇨🇦
The Vikings offense with Cousins is still a bigger dumpster fire than Minneapolis after the Floyd riots lol
L
Is that why they are top 5 in efficiency number 2 in red zone percentage and one of the highest scoring offense in the league while over the past 6 weeks the only QB that has rivaled Kirk Cousisns in percentage efficiency yards TDs INTs and grades is Pat Mahomes
Just gotta throw that out there real quick; I love the new beginnings of the videos with you making a drink!
Mr. Kollmann the cinematography game has gotten so much better since I started watching. Well done my dude.
Someone send this to Jeffery Lurie. Not only is Howie constantly missing on future HOF players in DK and Jefferson but he’s picking busts every year that only he thinks will pan out!
Thought I knew a little bit about football before finding you Brett. You are a gold nugget in the plethora that is RUclips. Don’t stop.
5:45 as a basketball player watching elite wr releases is such a treat to watch
Thank you so much for these in-depth breakdowns! Can't get enough.
Thank you for your videos. 👏
You are doing an amazing job and it‘s a pleasure to watch your weekly episodes.
Great video as usual Brett! I would love to see a video like this where you break down footwork technique for DBs.
That skip step that you're talking about here reminds me so much of the way Allen Iverson would gather himself with a small skip and then blow by a defender or cross over or step back. It was an incredible move to create separation .
Dig the buffalo right 7 heaven hoodie! And thanks for getting me even more hyped (somehow) about JJ
I like the new organization and editing of the videos. Always been a great channel.
Thanks Brett, this is my third season subscribed. Keep up the great content! In my fantasy semi finals this year largely due to drafting Claypool and Jefferson bc of your videos!
Hey Brett, your videos are just so in-depth and I swear most of these always make me become fans of the players you cover lol
This channel doubles as a cocktail tutorial as well and I respect it.
I've been wishing hard for the last week or two you'd do a Jefferson video! I've never been so excited to see a video!
Dude your breakdown of the routes is top notch 👍🏼loved the vid skol Vikes
I listened to you 100% but i didn't draft him. I grabbed him in week 3 as Julio wasn't working for me and traded him away so I was in need for a receiver. I checked your video and decided to go for Jefferson and he has won me a couple of matchups to the #1 seed in my fantasy league. Thanks Brett, I owe you big.
Huge fan of your videos, Brett, and I always get excited when I see you did a video on my Vikings, good or bad! The only thing I kinda disagree with in this video is the last comment about him being the only thing making Vikings games watchable for us fans, ever since the game in Green Bay, I'd say the team as a whole has been more fun to watch, especially when Dalvin Cook is (pun intended) cooking, and then Jefferson and Thielen start getting fed in the play action, our offense has been fun to watch, and to me anyway, it's been fun to watch our defense improve week after week, seeing our young DBs get better and better
Kinda rambly, I know, but I just wanna say, I as a Vikings fan like watching more than just Justin Jefferson (even though he's fun as hell to watch), and once again, great video!
as a corner was taught if you press and the receiver likes to skip step, to hit him w a good press to the chest. if you can get a good hit, while they are in the air, the receiver has NO chance. but as you coulda guessed, high risk, high reward. if you miss or receiver tricks you, then they gonna have 10x better positioning than if you did nothing
