I have a couple of neighbors that are selling their homes in California, and one is moving to Cabo San Lucas and the other to GDL= Guadalajara, Mexico. I have a co-worker who retired and moved to GDL. I went to visit him back in the fall. GDL is so Beautiful. The homes are absolutely beautiful and modern. I give my props to the building designers and pool designers. The weather is like Los Angeles, California and so much Greenery. I loved it. It has grown so much since the last time I had been there in 1980 when I was 20 years old. I went with a couple of Buddies of mine which are no longer living. Miss them so much! Now I am 67, Boy how time fly's.
Born in 1980 you would be 63 YO, not 67 you posted a month ago and is 2023
@@ringodos-jj7eg No It was not me who posted when I was born I was born in the 50's. I never posted born in 1980. Believe me I wish I was 63, No I take that back I would still be working. I retired at 65.

Merida has its own international airport. You don’t have to go to Cancun.
Playa del Carmen!! 🏖️🇲🇽
The water is turquoise !
@@desertsunset8025 my favorite color!!
I have lived in Mexico for 20 years. It is not any cheaper now to live here Things have changed a lot. We are now moving to Arizona it's cheaper. Do your research.
Hey bro I am your big fan I always follow your videos on youtube.
I just love being an expat!
Great summary!!
My parents retire in Mazatlan in 2025 they can't wait, it's mainly Canadian expats but theres Americans also
Son migrantes no expatriados
To the narrator, accents in Spanish indicate the syllable stressed. In Spanish, the default stress is the second to last syllable. An accent indicates when another syllable should be stressed. With the name Cristobal, since there is no accent indicating otherwise, the stress falls on the “to” pronounced “toe” , as the second to last syllable.

Mexico, great country!
Have you factored-in the strong Pesos exchange rate? as of today, it’s new high 1USD:16.7MX$,
when you’re showing those numbers in US Dollars, look more like for 2 years ago, when 1USD was able to get 20 Pesos, but nowadays, expenses in Mexico pesos to US Dollar has increased at least 30% comparing last year

You didnt mention the unbearable heat and humidity in Merida
I live in Yucatan. The heat and humidity has been unbearable this year.
San Cristobal is considerably cooler than it's lower lying neighbour, Tuxtla Gutierrez, and this is a good thing! Unless you enjoy temperatures of 40+ in the summer
Merida is a cartel "hands off" or protected city. Yes, it is one of, if not the most, safest cities in Mexico.
Second safest in all of north America
CHEAP. This is this word thst causes housing is going up so fast in Mexico and other countries causing the locals to not be able to afford rent in their own country try. American using the word " cheap" everywhere thry go.

I have gone to RUclips Homes for sale in Cabo. I have seen a 3 bedroom and 2 bath house with a pool for sale @ $300,000 2 story with a nice view. You would have to pay cash, because the interest rate is at 15% in Mexico.
No one mentions...can you get things fixed rapidly and efficiently? Say, the washer and Dryer, or whatever?
Was this video made 20 or more years ago?? The information is not accurate at all!!
Seems to me you missed the jewel of the desert Chihuahua!
Mexico is great if you stay out of the tourist town. I have spent the last year here I have mixed emotions. But it is 90% cheaper than the United States if you are a minimalist. And know this the Mexican women are not that interested in us if you're still of the dating age.
❤❤
This no way it’s super expensive I was ther last week November 2023 it’s very expensive
The coffe in cheep store 50 mex like $3.5 ice cream 180 mex $10😂😂😂
No way no way I’m very disappointed
No te ofendas pero te cobraron de más, un helado en $ 180 pesos mexicanos es mucho por mucho $ 80 pesos mexicanos y de los de vaso grande
Café no compro no se cuanto cuesten
It’s getting OVER SATURATED with Canadians and USA folks that it will get expensive.
Merida's population is actually 1,240,000
The Dominican Republic is cheaper !!!!
lets go all to dominican republic
❤
Oh no
Monterrey should be on this list
It's great to have 3x more money than the locals, isn't it @Across The Globe?

Mazatlán 🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵
If it's so great to live there, then why are thousands of people coming to the US from Mexico?
Dollars go further than Pesos. They come here to make more money. Most send money back to take advantage of the exchange rate. If you told me I can go make dollars at a 1 dollar to 20 pesos exchange rate, I would come over here too lol.
No, only a few coming from Mexico, most of them are coming from either Central America, and other countries.
If the US is so great why are there over 1 million Americans living permanently in Mexico?
really?
Porque van a trabajar
Mazatlán bonito confortable y muy muy peligroso todo México muy peligroso
KAREN PLEASE STAY IN USA DONT MOVE TO MEXICO....
I don't understand that if Mexico is such an amazing country to live, why are all the Mexicans moving to the USA?!
All the Mexicans huh? Haha
the people that come to usa is the poor people not the rich people
Not that many anymore, our economy is growing and most immigrants now are central americans not mexicans
Stop listening to propaganda. Most are from central and South America.
Not any more my friend most of the immigrants are coming from Central America
Expats? Inmigrants
You mean immigrants ‼️ not expats not nomads but immigrants ‼️🤨
What you guys don't like to be called immigrants‼️
Only for thee but not for me, mentality 🤔🫤 in my country Mexico 🇲🇽 any foreigner living there is an immigrant‼️like or not‼️
Same thing you call us, Mexicans even when we're in our own land in the other side of tge board‼️ we're immigrants, so are you in Mexico ‼️
Don’t really care what you call us. We aren’t thinking about it unlike you.
Hey, hey, hey!
Why the hostility?
Relax… you’ll live longer…
Buenos Dias 😂
Why not move to El Salvador, or Panama, or just keep going south, no, really, just keep going south. In fact just stay where you are. Mexico has enough people already
Who cares . My friend came here to the 🇺🇸 legally years ago . He doesn't call himself an immigrant he calls himself American .
To be fair, he's right. We Americans, Canadians, Australians, Europeans always refer to ourselves and others like us as expats or nomads, but everyone else as immigrants.
I live in North Carolina and it's much cheaper and who wants to live in Mexico
Many people apparently
Good , it’s full now.
Me
Then why are you watching a clip about living in Mexico 🤷♂️
More than a million of expats and you are the exception 😊
Why are all the Mexicans leaving then?
Jajaja no sera alrevez. Los gringos invsdiendo mexico porque se viene abajo el imperio yanki.
Costa Rica is way better!
No way dude!. Much more diversity, culture and comfort.
Better health care, natural and cultural offer.
Love Costa Rica, but cannot compare. Mexico is and has always been a jewel of the world.
@@mexicanodecorazon1697 I agree Mexico's a jewel. I just like the benefits the Costa Rican government gives foreign retirees.
@@jeffrhorer1811 what benefits would those be?
Costa Rica is cool but I agree it doesn't come close to Mexico Just check the numbers .
@@mexicanodecorazon1697 You are correct the last time I went to Mexico last fall. I have seen Asians, Middle Easterners, and Canadians they bought homes in Mexico. Mexico makes plenty of money just on tourism alone. The tourist is from everywhere in the World. In Guadalajara=GDL they have Walmart, Costco, Amazon, Apple, and other Great Companies. It has changed so much compared to the last time I came in 1980. Very Modern now and it has always been Beautiful.
Not so sure about Mazatlan😳
I just don understand Americans want to retire in mexico a country that Donald trum declare to invade 😅😅😢😢😢
😣😣😣
Exactly, I hope those people stay in the US eating only their type foods.
Donald T is an ignorant, who cares about him.
