Dear Rachel! I have been following Ethen's channel for 3 months so came I to your channel. He had right, you are the strongest pronounciation teacher and it's amazing what and how you are doing! In this lesson by 12:04 you ask if we can hear the h by him is dropped. Suddenly I answered in English loudly "Oh yes, I can." And it was a correct answer I really could hear it out. It was the first moment in my life an english question was asked to me and I answered it automatically! Of course it's funny by this way but I am sure you can understand how I feel now. Hearing something (very simple) in English and answering it automatically in English! I can imagine what can I achieve in the future with you! My native language is Hungarian, which is a 99% phonetical language, so it's really hard to me to learn English pronountiation! I would like to thank you for my special feeling which is a really small step, but a step I always wanted to do. I wish you all the bests from Europe, Budapest 🥰. Thank you so much! ( Sorry for any mistakes I am still learning 😊).
Thank you Rachael ! Great job on linguistic analysis. The english language is in a constant state of flux. I am a native speaker but you have taught me so much about how to communicate in this language. 👏👏👏
You are such an awesome teacher to be proud of. As a teacher,I learn something new from your videos each time I listen & watch them. Keep up the good work. THANK YOU!👍❤😍
Dear teacher Rachel, I'm from brazil I have studied with you for a while and I appreciate your lessons so much. You have made a difference in my studies. Thank you!
Wow Rachel! This old man , I've got serious problem do understand 🤣 100% of what he said.Because since I ve been studying with you for 2 years I can sometimes understand 100% of one paragraph. And sometimes it's a little bit frustrated when I can't. But I m going to listen to this all round the week to perceive every single teensy tiny sound. That's reminds me that, learning a language is a lifetime ride.Thank youuu so much because of this method I trained my ears.Sometimes I can watch movies without subtitles and understand 80 % .your method is next level! Ps I get problem of perceiving sound in my own mother tongue.
Thank you so much dearest Rachel! Due to your lessons it's much easier for me to understand american speech and I notice my progress for real. Thank you💖💖💖
Thank you Rachel. You know yesterday I subscribed to your channel and involved that your lessons are so useful and interesting! And by the way Pursuit of happiness is my favourite film. Thank you a lot again. You student Bobur.
I mean it's just fantastic 👌 what your are doing for us... it's like a dream. Learning English in this fun I bet I won't see more than that.you just blowing my mind after ones of your videos. God bless you.. From Ivory Coast 🇨🇮
These based-on-video lessons are outstanding! (to the top of my lungs) We can, not only listen to real English, but also learn real reductions and linking. As always, conducted by Rachel. Thank you, Rachel. At the beginning of the video I hear you thanking people for the idea of working with videos, right? Great! However, an idea without someone to put it into practice and make a lesson out of it? That's a completely different ball game. So, thank you very much. Your Brazilian fan #01 - Pedro
I like your way of teaching! Could you make a video about how to pronounce such words: calm, salmon, almonds, pomegranate, lemon, apple? It's a little bit confusing, I heard from different teachers different pronunciation.
Really really you're very intelligent person I've seen ever , I have a question , some times i speak well and other times not , I don't know what the problem is , can you help me my inspirer teacher. I hope you have a happy life because of your help . Love your style 💗💗
I really appreciate it, and really you're one in a million. l like learning English with movies especially with you and I am from Kurdistan, I'm Kurdish ,I hope that someday, I can speak English like a native American and like a you
👌👏👏👏👏👍. Dear Richel Sister, As always, I have a question to make of you. What's the difference between the following sentences? 1. I graduated. 2. My father graduated me. I am ever indebted to you for your selfless act of answering my questions. In return, all I can do is to spread a word about your channel and wish you and your family a happy life. Thank you and have a nice time.
Hello Rachel, could you make a video about the consonnant sounds (s,n,l) cancelling th in a casual conversation. For example in : In the /in this/and that (and explain the difference with ‘in a’) Is this (in a casual conversation) All that counts (sounds like all lat counts) I watch that tv show (becomes a kind of ‘I wash at show’ to me, I think,It can be wrong) I struggle to use this option, as I want to pronounce everything (I am scared to sound bad)
I think it will be better for non-native speakers like us if you kindly add the meaning of the difficult words. If you do this, we can be able to understand the movie clips with our heart's content. Thanks a lot for your job at last.
Usually the pitch goes down at the end. 5:25 They’re just sort of part of the melody going up. 6:23 “Walked in” and stress? 7:40 “Inter”? That’s not a word. 8:34, 8:48
About the question mark. I think it’s there in the end. Of course the period after “on” and the “And” are misleading. It’s supposed to be “...on, and I hired him?” I think the interviewer’s intention is to get the interviewee’s reaction to his decision to having hired such a person as he breaks then rises pitch to emphasize the last part, which implies, a thing he normally wouldn’t have done. The Grapes of Wrath by Steinbeck is the perfect reference for American accent smoothness. Try to work on some extracts that include conversations. Keep the good work. ❤️
Can we say the D in would is a stop D(stop the air flow like we pronounce a stop T)? pronouncing a D only with vocal chords is quite tricky and subtle to some learners. The D, It feels like a heavy m sound, and sounds like you are choked :)

4:40 is the letter t in the ( what would ) stop t " the tongue touch the alveolar ridge" or glottal stop. Thank you. Mrs. Rachel.
I'm using a glottal stop there - it's much easier before the W consonant!

“Inter”? That’s not a word. 8:34, 8:48
inter is a Latin root word. English has tons of Latin roots.

Just say it really quickly! It only feels "choked" when you slow it down! If you use a Stop T it won't sound quite right!
