Hi! That expression would be "suits me" - and we would use that to say that something that was suggested works for us, or will work with our schedule. So, if I say, "let's meet at the restaurant at 6," you might say, "suits me" in response to mean - 'yes, that will work for me'.
@@rachelsenglish thanks a lot of . it is very great example. Please keep in mind to do live video with this topics (idioms, phrasal verbs. ). You are awesome and wonderful job
Rachel , you are a very very hard worker teacher. May Almighy bless you with strength to help many to use the international language. With regards and good wishes
Hi! It is just one way to say that - she could also have said, "It's time someone looks you in the eye and tells it to you straight." - Both would work here!
I love it. Can you make these types of video about breaking news as on CNN or ABC news. I love to understand the normal life in USA on TV without subtiteles. Thanks so much for your teaching us.
In some videos it is claimed that in phrases like "good people" d is substituted with p or dropped i.e. there is no stop d at all. Different people hear same thing differently. Though here I can hear the stop d.
Hi Rachel! To thanks for another great lesson! I was talking with my friend yesterday, and they told me that although I have a very very good pronunciation, my spanish accents goes all over the place when I get angry. Why is that? Why do I completely lose control of my accent during those situaciones?
It’s normal. When you get angry your mind is elsewhere. It means that the movements your mouth makes when speaking English are not completely natural to you yet, but that you’re aware of them and working on it. It takes time to really make it yours, but I bet that even when you’re angry, your Spanish accent isn’t as strong now as it used to be.
Rachel, thanks for all your efforts! I am trying to find the difference between (protect against and protect from) but I cannot! Would you please tell me what is the difference between them?
Great teacher in the world!
Thank you!
