- Today we're showing how you install a set of StinkyFab Racing Shackle relocation brackets on a Jeep Cherokee XJ. These brackets enable you to adjust your shackle mounting position to achieve proper angle for a better ride, and better suspension flex.

Thanks for making these. Put these on the XJ and it almost feels like I have coil overs now!!! Such a sweet Cush ride now!
Yeah, doin mine right now. I put the SRB against the unibody frame, then had to customize the XRC bumper brackets to fit with them so I can add the Genrite whenever or make repairs on individual components.
It seems to me that if the company that makes a product is making an install video it would actually show the installation. Like maybe the bolts that appear to go to the inside of the cab.
If only I had a lift to do this on. Nice trick!

What if you have things like bumper brackets and a skid plate? The boxes cannot go underneath the bumper brackets because it won't be even. Will they allow being mounted 1/4"-5/16" lower?
The jeep in the video has a skid plate and a hitch, so you should be able to see how they all fit together. Ideally the relocation brackets would go against the frame, but you could put your bumper on first. You'd just have to shim the top of the box where it bolts through the floor.
Better off shimming hitch than box.

How do I know what angle to adjust the shackle too? Is there a certain degree we are shooting for?
Roughly 45 degrees works best

How do you mount the trailer hitch with the relocation bracket using 2 holes of the nutstrips
The relocation brackets use all 4 holes. A trailer hitch simply sandwiches the brackets, using the same bolts.
@@stinkyfabracing would my jeep be taller after i install them or would it be the same ride hight with the SFR Jeep Shackles

The shackles are longer than stock and will add lift. How much depends on which hole you select and what angle they are at. The relocation brackets don't add any lift.
