Between feminist hijabis and red-pilled brothers, we're just trying to figure out what in the world is going on. Nah, like for real, what is happening?
In our times, we see a rise in sisters pushing back against gender norms with the advent of feminism, and many are frankly no longer interested in "traditional" gender roles. However, many brothers have also been feeling some type of way, no longer being served tea, and now being told to wash their own dishes. Red-pilled, self-proclaimed "alphas" are barking back, after being called dogs one too many times.
In this hilarious (semi-triggering) episode, Idris and Abdikarrim get real, praying they don't get canceled, and they air it all out, telling it how it is. Recounting exactly what they observe within our generation and the challenges we collectively face.

Being surrounded by strong independent women in my life and having an absent father and only younger brothers this episode was really interesting and insightful to hear from the guys perspective for once. Appreciate these episodes! So much fitnah in this world, May Allah protect us, make it easy for us and the upcoming generations!

This is a really deep conversation and I feel like all stuff mentioned is stuff that affects us as a community and it's so sad we Muslim sisters and brothers exist in such kinda times may Allah guide and help us find God fearing people who have our best interests at heart

We lack role models , especially for men, and women are trying to go back to the deen whether sincerely for Allah or for other purpose (eg to get married by putting up a front)
but more of us need to relearn our deen and spread a good example so as ro dissociate from the kafir example of what a man is and what a woman is and go back to our definition based on what our prophet (s.a.w) taught us.

Abdikarim, just like how you said in the beginning that not all men are trash, not all women are materialistic. There are women out there that are genuinely interested in a man’s level of religiosity before wealth. Don’t get me wrong, a man must be financial stable but I promise you, not every women is after a man’s wealth. Some of us genuinely seek a man out because of his religion, his wisdom, his personality, and the way he holds himself up. & also, with the world that we live in, money is important. Financial stability is important and we can’t lose sight of that. But there’s a difference between extravagance and restraint. Laakin, we cannot lose sight of our religion. We’re here to worship Allah SWT alone and work our way towards Jannah. Ultimately everything ties back to that. & that’s why before looking at a potential partner, look at his/hers religion. How much he/she prioritizes it. Because wallahi everything else is secondary. I love the concept of writing a list of dealbreakers. Smart idea. If you get married for the right reasons, it will be blessed in Shaa Allah. May Allah SWT grant us all righteous spouses who will be the coolness of our eyes.
وَمَن يَتَّقِ ٱللَّهَ يَجْعَل لَّهُۥ مَخْرَجًۭا
And whoever is mindful/conscious of Allah, He will make a way out for them.
وَيَرْزُقْهُ مِنْ حَيْثُ لَا يَحْتَسِبُ ۚ
And provide for them from sources they could never imagine.

I agree with Idris that there are practising men and women upon the quran and the sunnah, no doubt. In our society they might be minority, but definetly there are individuals learning about their religion in order to not be ignorant.

Men and women that are honest to each other, particularly when they are asking their potential spouse about past indiscretions should be a logical and obvious thing to do, it straight up coercion to not disclose pertinent information, information you damn well would compromise that courtship.
Imagine if there was a muslim man who used to engage in gay acts who then repented, but didn't tell his spouse, imagine if his wife found out later into the marriage, the utter chaos!
There are some "sheiks" out here who are advocating that their partner flat out lie about their past promiscuity.

This notion is aligning itself w western feminist propoganda whether they'd like to admit or not.
Men and women are not the same, and when women use the notion of some men not being chaste as an excuse for them not being chaste it lets me know where their minds are at. Also, a man wanting to know about your past is within his rights to do so. You know what you did would potentially compromise you in finding a husband, yet you still engaged in the behaviours you engaged in (particularly Zinah). You can ask for forgiveness sure, but you can't control the outcomes of your actions or try to take away someone's autonomy by hiding info you know they would deem important. It's crazy that this has to be said to "muslim" women these days, how the times have changed.

Dope convo,i feel like Idris has been living in another world 😂coz bruh😢 its a crazy world we living in,💯most Women nowdays are looking for men who have money,looks and most men want women who are not so 'religious' or can have 'fun'.......both genders also have to be careful coz someone might portray bring pious and religious at first then when you get to know each they let their true character out.....May Allah grant us pious spouses.
These podcasters as well as other muslim men, and just men in general need to stop just blaming other men for the way other women are behaving. Yes, some men can be poisonous, but women need to also take accountability for their own actions. That type of talk is wildly simpy.

While I appreciate the effort put into discussing feminism, it's clear that you have a very surface-level understanding of the topic. Hating on men, aka misandry, is not feminism! Feminism is about addressing gender inequities and inequalities while promoting the rights of ALL.
In response to the statement made by one of the brothers regarding feminism having no role in Islam, I couldn't disagree more. It has an important role in Islam, which revolutionalized women's rights. Also, in many Muslim countries/communities, women are not treated well, nor do they have their full Islamic rights. Somalia is an excellent example of this, where there is no sexual offences bill, so most offenders walk free, and the country has the highest FGM rate in the world, with 98% of all girls being mutilated - an act which is unIslamic and a human rights violation! Similarly, based on the latest studies, every 2 minutes, a woman dies due to pregnancy or childbirth.
It's easy to deny the importance of a movement when it doesn't affect you personally. It's not men dying disproportionately due to pregnancy, GBV, IPV, FGM and most emergencies. It’s quite frustrating that throughout the conversation, you did not discuss actual feminism once but concentrated on misandry instead and continued to spread a false narrative of feminism. So much work needs to be done globally to improve the lives and well-being of women and girls - which is why feminism is still very valid and important. This is one of the reasons why many Muslim women are drawn to feminism and are tired of hearing uninformed talking points.
Imagine talking about muslim feminism and not having one muslim woman on your panel. Do better
They don’t need women to talk about a topic
This is an uncritical and poor argument that feminists keep bringing up. What gender were all the Prophets? Does their lack of "representation" diminish their message to all of humankind?
Women need to accept that men have tend to have a better grasp of the reality of a woman out of necessity, given we are their protectors and providers (Qawaamun). The same way a parent has a firm grasp of the needs & wants of their child.
