As a military wife I'm forced to pack up my house and move a lot. We actually just completed our 5th move in 7 years. My number one tip is to empty the contents of all your drawer dividers and storage pins into ziploc bags (or use plastic bags from the grocery store) and make sure all your organizing bins and supplies get packed in the same box so when you are unpacking each room you will have access to all of your bins. I had our1900 sq foot house completely unpacked and 90% organized in 48 hours.
Courtney Hartwell damn girl, 48 hours?! that's impressive!!!
After doing 3 moves with college kids, simpler the better. We put our silver ware drawer caddy filled with all the silver ware into a large ziplock bag, then into the box. We did this drawer by kitchen and bathroom drawer.
Maybe I'm a germaphobe?🦠
I wash out every shelf and drawer, let it dry completely and then put in shelf liner.
That definitely slows down the process a LOT, but there's no way I'm gonna move into a house and put my belongings in a stranger's drawer or cupboard.😖
If you're renting a home take pictures of everything before you move in and after you move out, that way, you have proof of what the house looked like before and after you.
Great idea! Thank you!
I'm moving in about a month and I will definitely do that....I just hope that I'm not so exhausted by the time I drive 560 miles with two cats in my car🐈🐈 that I forget about it.😵
It is going onto my "List Of 1,000 Things" right now.😉👍🏻
One of the FIRST things you should take to a new home is toilet paper. I also suggest paper towels and hand soap.
Kelly B. Yes! Great ones! And paper plates!!
esp. when you have kiddos....:)
i forgot my toilet paper at the old place my first night in the new home... was so focused in the kitchen and the bedroom plus my baby's stuff that i forgot lol GREAT ADVICE
Fooooorrrrr sure
@Kelly B Great Video clip! Sorry for butting in, I would appreciate your thoughts. Have you heard the talk about - Mahorrla Control Clutter Method (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now)? It is an awesome one of a kind guide for decluttering your home minus the headache. Ive heard some awesome things about it and my cooworker at last got cool success with it.
My husband and I bought a home a year and a half ago. Pack things like towels, tools, etc. and anything else you think you will need for your first night. Also, do not be ashamed of eating a lot of pizza and not having a ton of home cooked meals. This is a special season in your life. :)
Brittany Goetting Ordering pizza is a must when moving. Who wants to cook? lol
Brittany Goetting Carson is now a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle 😆🐢🍕
+DoItOnaDime You're the best
Right?! Lol.
Brittany Goetting I don’t know why I just really appreciate this comment xx
I love how moving forces you to purge! We moved 2 months ago and even though it's a struggle it is so refreshing to just clean house and tackle everything that was hiding!
put an old fitted sheet on the front AND back of you mattress to keep it from getting dirty on the truck.
Now THAT is brilliant! Thanks for the tip!
I saw it on Pinterest. ;)
Yeaaa!!! TYFS
Moving companies also sell plastic bags for mattreses.
great idea!!! thanks for sharing...i hadn't thought of putting 2 sheets on either side of my mattress before. i am def gonna do that on this move!
Having moved 3 times in my married life, a bazillion times as a child, my best strategy for moving, as I explained to my husband not that long ago is....sell the house intact and move into a fully furnished condo on the waterfront in Hawaii !
Pocono Prepper 😂😂👍
Pocono Prepper SPOT ON! WHY DIDN'T I THINK OF THAT?
EXACTLY!! Too bad my husband hates Hawaii...
Then choose another wonderful waterfront getaway ! :-)
oh boo
When we moved across country 2 years ago we bought an older cheap moving truck, drove it 3 days for our move, used it as storage for 7 months (we lived in a tiny apartment while our house was being built), then we sold it when we were done with it for more than we bought it for! We basically moved for free!
+MyJourneyToNeverEndingJoy
Wow! That's awesome! :)
That's really smart!!!

In addition to keeping your tools and some cleaning supplies handy, I also recommend packing a bag with all sorts of daily essentials that you might not think of, until you need them and realise they've been packed:
- Toilet paper
- Soap [even if it's just dish detergent]
- 1+ handtowels and/or 1+ bathtowels [depending on household size]
- Pyjamas or other lying-around-the-house clothes
- First aid kit
- Phone chargers
- Paper plates, plastic cutlery, and Solo cups
- Daily medications
- Toothbrush, hairbrush, chapstick, etc
My tips from experience: move mid week or mid month to save money with the moving company; remove the drawers from your furniture and wrap them in clear garbage bags without removing the contents; put together a shoebox full of "essential" items to bring to the new house and leave on the kitchen counter so it's easily accesible--scissors, tape, pen, marker, paper, aspirin, hand sanitizer, some cash, trash bag, recycling bag, and kleenex.
duncandy GREAT IDEA! :D
This is so true! I work for a leading moving and storage company. Everyone moved at the beginning or end of the month, so if you can move mid month on a week day, you will save yourself a ton.
I love that tip. Actually I have a box like organizer It has the essentials which is pretty handy.
@@blendadale6379 Yes thank you for your tip. I'm gonna negotiate to husband to move on 3rd week so in the last week I can clean and clear out my apartment.
I never pack up the contents of drawers from bureaus or anything else with drawers. I just tuck the drawers into my car and stack them at the new place. The furniture is lighter to move without the drawers, and when the bureaus make it over, I just slide them back into place. :)
I am right there with you. I also put freshly laundered clothes in the laundry hamper and move them instead of wasting a box.
My car will be filled with two cat carriers and the "first night/next morning" necessities.
Even without that, my car wouldn't hold all of the drawers in my house.
Dollar tree has color coded moving duct tape. They read Livingroom, Kitchen, etc.. hope this helps
Okay, that's my spot to go for tape then. I am packing for a move, and was really trying to have a more visible color coding system than the little dots. Thanks.
Nice!! I am def gonna go get some of that for my upcoming move!!
Really? How I wish the dollarama has it. I'm gonna check it.
Tape mover's blankets around your banister and on wall corners and door frames.
Congrats on the new house! I moved around a lot when I was younger and even my early adult years, my last move was 5 years ago, and it was my 19th address! A helpful tip I like is to use your towels and other linens to wrap delicate glass and chinaware and dishes. That way, you pack your linens and your dishes at the same time, the towels will protect your more fragile items, and it doesn't dirty up your dishes and your hands as you unpack them! And best of all, it's free! :)
Taking pictures of what's in boxes before you seal them closed can help you find what you need quickly later, and expensive things can be better covered by insurance this way too. Great tips!
Oh definitely I'll do that. It happens one of my friend her one of Swarovski glass turtle is missing and expensive vase in bubble wrap. The moving company said they move out but never opened the boxes. So she suggest to take a picture of expensive items just in case to claim to moving company.
I have a half an hour before I have to get to class...watching DoItOnADime is how I'll spend it!
Same
Oriana Waldren have an awesome week!! 👍🙌
DoItOnaDime Thank You! You too!
Whether moving or travelling, I always pack a nightgown or a pair of PJ's in my purse, just in case I can't find anything or a suitcase or box goes missing!!
I make my kids pack pjs and some day clothes and stuff so at least there comfortable not racking there way thru every box !
I was the daughter of a 35 year produce manager. Banana boxes are free from your grocery store and they have handles. The opening at the top I used butcher paper that was also free from the grocery store, of course unused scraps! Label them but so easy to carry!
I love how real you are! Pillows on the bed for show. Brilliant!
we made many trips before actually moving in and packed a lot in laundry baskets , padded with towels if needed and unpacked on each trip in order to use the clothes basket the next time.
Going to a liquor store and asking for their boxes is a super idea. The boxes are very sturdy, as they held glass bottles. Perfect for dishes and delicate items. A liquor store near us sets all their empty boxes in their vestibule on delivery day, as they're onto all of us. LOL They're always gone by the next day! Some of them may still have the cardboard dividers in them to separate the wine bottles - these are perfect for stemware.
It's also a good idea to stock up on your liquor, as you will be needing it.
Any time I move I always pack survival boxes for my master bedroom/bathroom, kitchen & office as well as a moving essentials box. These boxes get loaded last & unloaded first and contain things that are essential for the survival living you do while moving and getting settled in to a new home. The master bedroom/bathroom boxes contain things like bedding, pajamas, shower curtain, toiletries, towels toilet paper etc, the kitchen one(s) have things like basic cooking equipment and spices, towels (paper or fabric you choose), a knife or two, cutting board etc. Basically these boxes contain the essentials from each room needed for basic living. There's nothing worse than waking up the morning after a move and having to open nine boxes to find your toothbrush, toothpaste, what you need to make your morning cup of tea or coffee or your router so you can get your internet set up. The moving essentials box has things like large garbage bags, a box/utility knife, basic tools such as a hammer & drill/driver with bits, a level etc. so that you have what you need to open and unpack boxes hang pictures, curtains etc. Also if the place I'm moving in to has an extra room that I'm not going to be needing immediately I'll put everything except furniture, survival boxes and moving essentials box in that room so that all the kitchens are stacked together, all the master boxes are boxed together etc. this way they're easy to find and access but you don't end up with stacks of boxes in each creating a maze that's hard to walk through and unpack in.
I recommend that you DONT get used boxes from other people. Roaches love to travel in cardboard, so do spiders!
I’m infested with roaches I hate my life

Boric Acid Powder.
It works wonders and they don't come back.
:)
I moved OUT OF STATE and the experience is very different than an in-state or less than 20 mile move. I had to move all at once instead of gradually. So, I had to have everything out of the old apartment before driving 12 hours to my new apartment. Purging is key! I got rid of or sold more than 50% of my "furnishings". I was surprised to see how well I survived after all of those extras were gone. As humans we definitely hoard far too much! I agree that labeling is essential. I labeled all of my boxes with the room and most of the contents. Great job on video and congrats on the move and new home.
can you please tell me where you sold your items, I'm moving right now and need to sell a lot of my old stuff but i don't know where to sell them
@@nek2327 Craigslist, Facebook neighborhood that's just a couple there are several others.
All of my moves have been local, so I was able to use the "Gradual Move Method", but I'm moving out of state next month and it's rather overwhelming trying to sort out the order in which things need to get done, and making a list of those items that absolutely need to come off the truck first, which means they get packed last.
It was a much more relaxed endeavor before, now it's "all hands on deck"...everything goes at once!🤷🏻♀️😬😵😯🤯
Lord, give me strength....and some organizational skills!😄
When unpacking the kitchen or bathrooms, put a piece of painters tape on a draw or cabinet after you unpack it. That way it's a visual aid of how far along you are and you won't keep opening the same empty draw over and over again
Erin Cooper genius you!!!
Erin Cooper great idea! :) xx Olivia
Good one
Erin Cooper it's drawer not draw! I've seen draw written for drawer so many times that people think it's correct!!!
Erin Cooper thats a great idea!
A tip from someone who has moved a bunch of times- don't wrap any of your breakables in newspaper, it's really messy, the plain paper movers sell is not that expensive - I bought a couple of packs on line hope this helps. Keep your shower curtain and rings out so you an set up the bathroom, even temporarily , it's as important as the kitchen and bedrooms.
Jen Dyson great tip, thank u! :)
I'm currently in the process of moving into our first home (😆) and something that I have learned from moving with lots of movers a bunch of times is to pre-organize! I have a binder that is divided into each individual room, and each room gets its own color of construction paper & 100's code. For example the family room is green and each box is labeled in the 400s so the first three boxes would be 401, 402, 403. Then I reference that code number back to the binder where I write every last thing that goes into the box. Then I tape the box up, tape the right colored piece of construction paper to the box and number it. This way I always know what's in the box, and other people can't see what boxes have your valuables in it. And when we unload at the new house, I will hang up the colored piece of construction paper with the 100s number on it in each room so the movers can quickly and easily see where they go. And this way you know if your missing a box.
Jessica Wilson TOO much time on your hands and no one cares!! Pack, label boxes, move, unpack.
This sounds like a lot of work! BUT.. Very smart and organized. I didnt even think about someone stealing a box. I realized the 1st time I moved I packed like a mad woman 😂😂 NOTHING was packed in order. I was opening box after box looking for a certain item. I hated that I packed my essentials and didnt label the boxes... I'm definitely not going to make that same mistake this time and I'm going to take my time to pack! About 30 to 40 days away from closing on our 1st house! 😄🏠
@@laurasimmer9612 you write on the box what it is and where it goes. This woman is really complicating the process.
Super organized but I'd always move any valuable items myself and keep them locked somewhere for the duration of the move.
We've moved over 20 times in 25 years of marriage! And two of those were overseas!
So, I always pack as much as I can inside drawers and then pack the drawers back inside the piece of furniture in the truck. Saves boxes and a ton of space. I also use linens as padding for fragile items. Dishes get wrapped in saved shopping bags to protect them from breakage without adding too much bulk. And, this time around, I've actually been saving boxes from Amazon and Walmart orders. Now all those boxes are pre-color-coded for me. Books go into Amazon boxes and kitchen items go into Walmart boxes. So, I can tell with one glance where those boxes go. I also use plastic storage tubs in different colors for different types of things. My kids are grown now, so I have one color for garden supplies, 1 for tools, 1 for holiday decorations, etc. Again, 1 glance tells me where it goes. And clear boxes contain all my sewing materials so I can see what's inside without having to try to describe it. For the other tubs and any re-used boxes, I tape index cards to the outside to list the specific contents. It makes it easy to know what's inside... This time 😉.
I also use blankets to pad furniture and pillows to fill gaps in boxes and such. And I pack boxes inside cabinets and shelves tetris style in de truck and/or storage shed. I've become a pro at guaging which boxes will fit where.
In all these years, I've almost never bought any moving materials. But, this time around, we'll be putting a lot of stuff in storage for a while. So color-coding and sorting the same items together is more important than usual... In case I need to get something out of storage before we're moved into a new place (we'll be in an RV in the interim). So, for the first time, I bought Home Depot boxes. That's one more color for sorting what I'm packing, and since their sizes are the same, they stack really easily.
But, as others have mentioned, I'm trying to get rid of as much as I can, because that's the best tip ever for making moving easier! 😊
When i move the tv and alllllll its cords back there i will take a pic so i know what cord goes with what
Thanks for the tips! I'm moving in 2 weeks, and the comments are helpful, too. I'll be living alone for the first time ever, and your advice is giving me motivation and confidence! Thanks, everyone!
Kathryn! I have to take a minute to compliment how much I enjoy your videos. You are always so organized and don't ramble on and on. short and to the point, that's what I need in my life. Thank you for doing what you do. Blessings in your RUclips career♡
I'm not moving anytime soon but these are great tips! Thanks for sharing!
I love how real and honest you are. It makes your tips and advice more believable than people who make themselves seem perfect! Thanks for always making great videos!
You asked for it, so here it is my Best Moving Tip. Also good for seasonal items.
Lay out all the items you want to pack into a container
Snap a Photo
Pack the container
Print the Photo ... plain paper, even Black & White go cheap
Put the Photo on the container
Now everything in the container can be seen without having to open it. Also, this is great for seasonal items. So it can be easy to tell which container has the 'Ugly Sweaters' and which has Grandma's Special Holiday Decorations.
I am learning to be more organized AND Reduce/Remove clutter on Sight OR on Contact.
I tell myself that my Creator is Super Organized and as HIS child I should be like my Abba. Creatively Organized should be part of my nature. HE is helping me live my true nature.
This channel will help with that!!
Blessings,
Rebekah J
Great tips. We did the same thing taking things over our self too. it really helps. I made a list of all my boxes and what was in them so they were all numbered. Then crossed them off as they arrived.
we had a first few days basket. where we had towels, pjs and outfits in one basket and kept them in a place where we knew it would be at all times. do all laundry before you move including.bedding that way every thing is clean. I would also make a lidt if every room in the new house even storage closets that way you remember every room and storage space you would eant things put in
Faue Family Great idea! :)
What a great video. Your kindness and honesty always shine through. Congratulations on the new house, thank you for sharing your life and experience like a true friend.
We purchased our first home last February, and both of us are over 50 yrs of age, so moving was quite hard for us as well. Having the cleaning caddy and tool box handy is a MUST! Also, even though we had help with moving the large pieces of heavy furniture, I can't tell you enough at how much the furniture sliders really helped. After the folks that helped us left, I wanted to move some furniture around, and placing the furniture sliders made moving/sliding furniture around so much easier. We didn't have to lift, or strain our backs, and life was good!
You’re awesome!! Totally changed my aspect on moving. Yes it is inevitably stressful, but simply having a plan is better than not having one at all. Thx for the tips!!!
Great tips! One that I got many years ago and has always served me well is to wrap dishes and kitchen items in cheap paper towels, then pack them and fill in with newspaper or other packing material. It keeps the kitchen items clean and they can be put back to use right away with no ink or dust. Then you have all those paper towels for cleaning as you're moving in and setting up.
Yeah! I walk in pantry!!! So happy for you :)
First, congrats on your new home! That is always an exciting thing! Second, I had to laugh at the end of this video, when Charlie was working on the closet and using the studio light for a work light. You are not alone. We do that all the time too. Rick is always commandeering my studio lights when doing home improvement projects! Great tips. Always enjoy seeing your posts!
The tip about hardware with furniture, buy one of those cheap 15-20$ electric screwdrivers, and just screw all the screws/knobs/etc back into the holes they came from. So for instance, a dinner table, unscrew the legs, and then screw the bolts back into the holes without the legs. No risk of losing them. Then, pick up a few dollarstore screwdriver kits that come with bits, and tape the bit that matches to the item if it isn't a standard Phillips or flathead. This will save you so much time. No searching for tools or hardware. You just grab your table, untape the bit, pop it into your little screwdriver and put the legs on. Tape the bit back down somewhere inconspicuous and next time you'll be ready.
It may seem silly to buy duplicates and multiple screwdriver sets just for the bits, but in the long run it will save you so much time, and you might not need that many different ones, and could get away with one large set for a few bucks!
Hope this helps.
This is the driver I got, walmart.. cheap and I've been impressed with how well it works. If you don't abuse it, it should last!

Happy for you to the newest adventure in your lives! Great tips! We moved 20 years ago with everything we owned in the back of a U-Haul from North to the South from a 2800 sq foot house into a 3 bedroom apartment! You are so right..purge, purge, purge. It is so easy to accumulate and it is a continual job!
I cannot wait to see how you organize and decorate your new home!! Congratulations!
Great tips! I love the idea of packing and moving stuff yourself, and prioritizing setup so that it's not overwhelming. I am moving into my first place within the next few weeks, and the thought of moving my stuff, even though it's not a lot, is overwhelming!
Congratulations! Can't wait to see your new home! God Bless your beautiful family!
Great tips. When I moved two of my friends came and set up my bed. That night I appreciated that the most. Good luck in the new home.
Awesome tips Katherine! We moved into our home 25 years ago, 4 days before thanksgiving with our two boys who were three and one . . . in pouring rain. It was crazy busy, but I got my kitchen completely set up and organized in time for Thanksgiving dinner. I was so tired, but so very happy! I can hardly wait to see your new home. Blessings friend!! :)
Your vids are so timely for me. I'm moving my aging parents closer to me and we just found a house yesterday. So keep 'em coming; I'm using your tips!
I am moving right now and I have already used almost all of those tips. Thanks for sharing! Love seeing these videos while I am moving at the same time.
I also say when starting to pack start with the least important to the most important so the stuff that you use every day ends up being the last thing you pack
I hope you enjoy your new home. I remember moving and for me the most important things we did was set up all the beds, knowing that everyone will be exhausted. Your tips are right on target. If everyone followed these tips, the move will be less stressful. Again enjoy your new home.
Loved these tips! I'm not going to move soon and I still live with my parents but a few years ago, when I was still a kid, we moved and did all by ourselves! It took us 3 days to do everything and my father had some headaches because of furniture that needed to be reassembled! But we also bought a new refrigerator and washing machine and had them installed at the new appartment a month before the moving day just to make sure they wouldn't be damaged! It can be really stressfull!
My family has been moving about once a year for the past few years. I come back to this video every single time to help me pack for the move! I'm about to move again in a few weeks so here I am again.
Oh my goodness, moving is so hard! I helped a friend recently and set up her kitchen first. Makes a huge difference when the kids can go and get something to eat during all the stress.
Hiring a mover? What's that?
Just kidding :) We always just borrowed a friends pickup truck (Until we had our own, that is) Got cardboard boxes from behind grocery stores if they allowed us to take them, and asked friends to help us with furniture.
Same! Liquor stores have the best boxes. Here in our town all you have to do is walk in any liquor store and theres a stack of free boxes near the door 🤣
Just think you are so adorable and full of love for your family. Appreciate your intelligence and so so useful tips and tricks. Blessings! 😘
we just bought our first home so right there with you on moving. congrats on your new home! more memories to be made.
Agree d with everything you mentioned, especially when it comes to purging which is a must. Congratulations on the new home!
Congratulations!!! This is wonderful. I wish you all the best in your new home.
Just moved and split up my belongings between a rental apt and Az home. I made colored address labels red for Az green for IL. Separated boxes in piles for each location. Movers loved me! Best wishes in the new home 😊
Congratulations on your new home! I've moved before so I understand how it is. It can be a bit stressful. It helps a lot when you get extra help. Take care.
You are so cute! Congratulations on your new home, we moved to 4 different countries w two kids and they used to love the boxes! Kids are extremely flexible and enjoy a bit of excitement around. Enjoy your new home, looking forward to new organising videos
I love your videos and how transparent you are. God bless you and your family!
Every time my family and I relocated to a different state or country (Air Force)(6 times) I had a yard sale. I purged the entire house. You definitely find out what you really didn't need or want any longer. Plus made some money in the process. What didn't sale got donated too. Can't wait to have the grand tour of your new home! ❤
Thank you for the moving list! You’re amazing. This is so helpful!
Congratulations on your new home!! I can't wait to see a house tour!!!
unpacking tip for the kitchen. I planned ahead what items was going each cabinet. stuck post-it-notes on each cabinet and left the notes there after unloading, so the whole family could find the kitchen items easily. Then a several months to a year later I changed the places that didn’t work or needed tweaked. Enjoy your new home!
Congratulations on your new home! Great tips you shared with us. Can I just say how much I love that you tell us you weren't sitting on a made bed?! I 💜you!! Xoxo
congrats on the move so happy for you and ur family!!!! enjoy watching all your helpful vidros!!!
Thank you for this!!!! So helpful! Congrats on your new home!
I love all your videos!! my husband and I bought our first home this year and moved this august. I am still unpacking stuff lol my biggest tip is taking it slow, first unpacking the necessary things like you mentioned kitchen and personal, bathroom etc. if we try to get everything done at once it can be overwhelming!
Holy cow, a new baby, moving, AND the holidays! Grats on the new house and I hope you have a great holiday even though it may be a bit crazy!
I wish you and your family a happy life in your new home. It looks like a beautiful house x x x
I’ve been watching your videos for a couple of months now and never knew you had this series! I’m moving soon and I’m gonna need to binge it hahaha
I'm so glad you're doing these! I have to move in two months so this is perfect!
great tips! i moved 2 weeks ago into our new home & it was a lot of work- draining is more like it. still unpacking & organizing things now. on the moving boxes we used. i wrote which room the box was to go in & a general description of what was in the box. i wrote on each side of the box so didn't have to search for the room it was to go in, it was on all sides. i did purge & donate so many items (about 10 large boxes full) to goodwill. felt good to donate & to get rid of excess stuff i really didn't need & don't know why i stored for so long. congrats on your new home!
Appreciate the tips and concise information! Great video
I want to be like you when I grow up as a parent your so organised and I've helped all of my family with your helpful tips
love you xxx
Great tips!!! We moved about 6 months ago and used many that you listed here. One thing I did that was unanimously voted as the most helpful was the color coding with duck tape! Each room was designated a color (i.e. kitchen was green, living room was blue, etc.) I also made a sign for each room saying which room it was then put that corresponding tape color on the sign. Additionally, I made a few floor plan maps, put little swatches of the tape there as well then stuck them around main entries of the home. Someone could look at the map or one of the signs on the doors and say, "I'm holding an orange box. This goes to the orange room." Sounds detailed but it took hardly any time at all to prep that and it took all the guesswork out for everyone (including myself). Thanks for sharing your tips! love your videos! :-)
As always. . . great ideas! thanks for sharing. Blessings
The multi-colored duck tape and writing what is in the boxes really works. I did it when I moved my stuff into a storage unit for a while when I moved back home to save some money. I can easily go into my storage unit and find the exact place it's in. (I'm very proud to have my storage unit organized and functional. That took some work!) I'm excited to start looking for a home end of 2017 to spring 2018 time. I will definitely be rewatching the videos again when it's time to move.
i love your video's I am moving into my apartment this week and your organization video's are making it soo easy to prepare for. 😊
I can't wait to see a new home tour. I wrote on a clipboard A-Z and what was in each box.
I moved twice in 6 months (with 2 young children), nearly 20 years ago and I was so stressed! I wish I had a computer and RUclips (and you guiding me through it) I would have done things so much more differently lol! I'm hoping not to move again - well, not for a while anyway! Mind, maybe it would be good to move to force me to declutter :)
Bless your family and bless your new home. ❤️
I'm so happy for you guys!!! Great tips! ❤️❤️❤️
Congratulations on your beautiful new home. Thanks for the tips.
This series is coming at a perfect time for me! My husband and I will be closing on our first home in about month!
Moriah Beach Congrats!
1 year late.... but congratulations! Lol my husband and I just celebrated 1 year married yesterday! (5 years together 😊) We also found out a couple of days ago we will be closing on our new home very soon! 😁 within the next 30 to 40 days. We are so excited!
congratulations you guys! Truly a blessing although I'm not gonna lie I will kinda miss the old house, lol. looking forward to the next episodes. Keep it up Kathryn as always you keep me inspired😊.

Very helpful. Thanks for sharing!💕💕
My husband and I are retiring and making a long distance move for the last time (I hope!) across country to our new home in a very different place than where I've lived my entire life. I'm also coping with the side effects of my age and a disability while braving on with the packing, one box a day, at times. It's a challenge but I started early by purging the house while my hubby set up a garage sale. Whatever was left over after the sale went to a thrift shop that benefits a no kill animal shelter in town. So now I've started the even more serious business of packing and I appreciate any and all tips! Thanks so much!!
