In my opinion, Old music is Gold. The Music of Nowadays is a bit too what should I say, noisy and grainy, plus the ungodly amount of Sound effects in some modern genres.
Well arpeggio and solo are pretty similar and have patterns, but you need a certain level of music theory to know how and where to implement them, so thats another level for each IMHO
