One deployment method that I didn’t hear discussed is the use of the Emerson Wave. When pocketed, if you use your index finger to pull the knife out up and away from your person (with retention ring), the wave grabs your pocket edge and will deploy the blade on the upward motion. It works VERY well on this model. I have the same color way as yours and love it! Great piece and very well put, when it comes to using a knife for self defense. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I have this exact blue one. I like it. It came with bladeplay , I kept having to tighten the pivot and two blue loctite sessions later it’s finally staying tight. Not as drop shutty as it was, but I’d rather have no bladeplay. I have it in my rotation. Love the looks, feel, the buttonlock is dialed in, the many deployment options are awesome (spidey hole, flipper, button, Emerson ). It’s a great knife overall for sure!
Ok its a knife. It will cut cordage and cardboard. But as you said, the moment of truth is when you have to decide if you can actually use this as designed and gut another human being. For general knife duty there are so many better options. But if you like cool "show and tell" go for it. Just my opinion. Good video.
If you really know how to use a knife especially a pocket knife at that then you wouldn’t be saying that. There’s so much you can do with a karambit. From how and where you clip it to how fast you can deploy the blade. Which is why the first thing I do with any pocket knife, I hold it in the cqc position just to get a feel for it and see if I like it. I used to have one but I gave it to my dad since at the time I had a holstered waist knife. I’ve always preferred a pocket knife instead so now I’m looking for a Karambit specifically. (Raptor claw)

If you use this knife for self defense, god help you in the courtroom.
Terrible design for self defense it's only used for gardening
