The karambit is set up for left hand carry so that when you're carrying it in your right pocket it's perfectly set up for you to slide your finger in the hole and deploy it and have it ready to fight the super-secret Nighthawk ninjas
I would love to see some videos of how they machine these. The contoured handles with the fine lines, the titanium stone pattern, and that last knife! 😮
Much like the Incisor 2, I want to see Civivi more knives in the $100 - $150 Territory. I want them to take current or new models and give them titanium scales and a mid grade steel like 154CM or S35VN. We need more "premium budget" knives
Nice little tip for recurve sharpening. KME sharpening system has a three sided recurve stone which will bring it from corse to fin all in one. Or for a less precise systen start with a standard kitchen rod for corse honing and then do a couple of draw cuts through wood to clear the burs and then use the edge of a car window for fine honing and strop to finish.
The Civivi Incisor is set up for right hand carry. It is put tip up, blade forward in your right pocket. You just pull it out with your finger in the ring then you're ready to go in reverse grip as intended.
Yesssss! And the guys over at Hoghouse are great dudes ! One of them is an engineer and him and a friend decided to run a knife shop out of an ex butcher shop on a farm, the Model1 is ok but Veli is beautiful and the other variants are amazing! Good luck getting one tho!
Owner of Veli no. 28 here with a gold/rose gold crystallized titanium front side. I can wholeheartedly concur that they make a-ma-zing knives. Definitely up there with the best of the best. But the makers themselves (Tapio and Viljami) are even more amazing, extremely friendly and down to earth. If you like one of their models but are thinking: I would like to buy one if only they would make the configuration which is perfect for me, go ahead and reach out to them! In my case they were very open to make exactly the configuration I was looking for, for no to little extra cost compared to their readily available models. One of the best experiences I've had in getting a custom knife made so far :)
We's Prices seem to jump with every new batch of releases lately, Theyve eclipsed ZT and are approaching Hinderer prices(atleast in Canada), they've stepped up the finish on their designs but they're pricing theirselves out of the competition.
I picked up the PM2 in S90v just because of the price. $165 is crazy cheap for S90 if you ask me. And you don’t find it much cheaper. So Maxace is definitely killing it.
LTK said the incisor opens from the pocket well, and i love my fox Karambit. So I am willing to give it a try . I like the red stonewashed version. I think i will pick one up soon.
I'm sure the dagger not heing sharp on both sides has nothing to do with legality and everything to do with common sense. Go sharpen the other side and then let me know how easy it is to close ...
This is a silly comment go look at the sharp by design nemesis I think it is. Infact metal complex has one it is beautiful and sharpened on both sides u just use the tabs-guard to close it.
@jeremyweisinger8655 Did that and a whole lot more! Though, I never could get the hang of it. Never came close to being able to put the kind of edge on a karambit that I put on all of my other knives. But I'm grateful for the input you have shared! Thank you!
@@robertkain7890 no problem. And it is definately still more difficult even with round rods than sharpening other blades. And the knife community is pretty helpful for the most part. I've learned a ton over the last couple years from these videos and even the comments. So not a problem at all.

Was thinking the exact same thing when I saw the clip position.
Yeah people seem to get confused by that. Even professional knife reviewers.
Karambits are typically used in reverse grip. So it is setup to be pulled out of your pocket that way.
When you called the HEA a Bird, i heard Nicks voice say “BIT OF A POCKET PECKAH”

you're definitely not wrong. But to be fair that's what mid techs are for. Huge Fan of the Chaves production line right now.
@A_Sense_Of_Purpos3 I own a Chaves, and I love it, but it's not a knife with titanium scales for $100 - $150.

I have a Hog House Veli.
Fantastic piece.
The WE Diatomic really missed the mark with the dual tip down clips and non-dagger ground blade IMO.
Now that is a card slap. Hit solid, good sound and stuck the landing 9

I ordered a Veli the other day. One with their black ano'd Ti hardware. They had 3 just sitting on their site.
I got the Raccon Dog in RWL34 with the speed holes. Haven't set it down yet, it's super fidgety
I do love the 5 cool knives series

Yeah they are getting greedy .

My Veli came yesterday. Definitely punches above its weight class. Not quite a Shirogorov but damn close, had the detent been a bit smoother….

Thank you for the close ups
Got my first Herman today it's absolutely amazing.!! I can definitely see me getting a couple more models
The hea looking like a bird is hilarious 😂 and the hoghouse grind on the blade is unbelievable
Hey Metal. Any thoughts on the RAT 1 Red yet?
I mean it's a rat 1 in s35vn. So it gonna be just like all the old ones but with better all around steel.
I pre ordered the Karambit immediately after they were available. Still hasnt shipped but i cant wait till it does.
Also the diatomic being tip down adds to the confusion x100

It’s set up for right hand carry reverse grip deployment. Not left hand standard grip.
8/10 card slap, I'd downgrade that to a 7/10 for the weekend though, as weekend cardslaps should exude more of an epic ness about them
You should arrange surprise parties for psychics. You're right, I didn't know.
"A little fat bird with no wings or legs." LMFAO
Solid 9 on the slap 👌
I give that slap about a 5 out of 10!
Solid 8.5/10 slap
Second one is dope
Card slap 8/10
The symmetrical knife has two pocket clips Because it is symmetrical!
8/10 slap. Nice
That textured blade absolutely not for me. But for those who like it that’s fine. Thx for sharing Complex.
The Karambit is one I want purely for the purpose of making an ass of my self in the privacy of my own home.
you have no idea how bad i want one of those karambits.
The title is so right first knife you show and I’m like welp my this video won’t be good for my bank account
Cardslap 8/10😂
Yep, I see the bird😂

Aesthetically, I like karambits! However, they're very rarely useful and an absolute bitch to sharpen!
Get some round stones. It's pretty easy then.

It does look like a little fat 🐦 lol
Meh…..
The Hog House Veli speaks to me. I just wish it spoke the same language as my wallet. 😉
