Great video! Had me rolling a couple times! None of these were a surprise. Except the Excalibur! But I would’ve gone right along with it. It honestly made sense. I mean you designed it so of course it would be a favorite of yours.
I am a proud owner of a vision fg and the cheap version of the shark cub. I love the locks on them and they are a perfect big and small knife pair. Also two of the best value knives out there. When you look at quality per dollar these two knives are near the top of the list. I HIGHLY recommend them.
I’ve been trying to find a sale price on the micarta inlay on the full size original model. I almost picked up the amphibian but I don’t like recurves, I went with the MSI, also a bunch of others, the ones that really stick out are the Real Steel Pathfinder Folder in the natural micarta and Scandi grind, it absolutely perfect for a large folder, the Protech magic whiskers, a side folding auto with the secret way to open it. The Boker Advent calendar let me build a button lock aphus mini, came with 3 scales, 3 magnetic inserts for the scales. Next year I’m definitely getting some for family members.
I love my Kunwu Pulsar Xl. It's my favorite user. I love that they nail their heat treatment . Its nuts that their prices are close to Spydercos plain models.
i was so excited to see machinewise in here! i've been a huge fan of their balisongs for years and i get to meet deylan at blade show last year, absolutely awesome dude!

I really only got 1 new 2024 knife, which is the Protech TR3 integrity (manual), which i really enjoy. Super snappy action and great generic knife lines. Its light, comfortable, and works great. Not a work knife, but a sweet edc.
You got me with the best overall lol but I wasn’t at all mad. The knife you designed looks absolutely fantastic! The only one I disagree with is the shark cub, but I’m just personally not a fan of that design. Can’t argue it is a great knife though.
Most innovative should have definitely gone to poikilo blades al-khem without a doubt imo. I understand if u haven't handled it, it can't make the list.
G&G Hawk had the no blade play OTF first. G&G Hawk charges a lot of money for the Deadlock. So I would say yes that Microtech did need there own version of a no blade play OTF. Unfortunately I live in New York. You can’t buy OTF’s in New York anymore. Awesome video. Thank you
It's because of this channel that I have spent a grand in last 3 days on 3 pocket knives.😐 😆 Just ordered the new DLC Momo with Purple Haze Carbon fiber and S45VN last night . One left on White Mountain Knives peeps.
Great video MC. I know it was probably released too late to be considered for this list, but I'm surprised you don't have a review or unboxing of the Demko Nano yet.. I'm assuming it's in the works! Thanks for doing what you do.
I also thought the Attor was one hell of an integral. Then I got the Mechforce Kilby Shard, which, imho, bumps the Attor from that top spot. You should check one of those out if you haven't already
one more thing with the Winter Blade Factor is that sharpening the knife, guarrantee full disassembly required. The magnets just attract so much metal dust comming off the blade itself, that the action became unbearable afterward. I have to open the knife, clean it up and put in back everytime I sharpen this knife.
@@Martin.Krischik Hi, I do freehand sharpening; the blade is short so usually it take me 2 3 mins to resharpen the knife on the move; I don't always have some tapes on me; I've stop using the knife since.
I got mine based on MCs advice and it’s everything that he said. Not only do I have zero disappointment, but it’s everything and more. I have never had a pocket knife fit so well into a pocket. Great clip, excellent lockup, utilitarian slicey blade, comfortable micarta handle. That little orange accent on the thumb stud 💋
I can’t wait to pick up the new Real Steel Hoeft, it’s like a better version on the Giantmouse Nazca, but it’s had a longer blade, titanium bolsters with micarta onlays, and it has some new lock that is a button but it locks up like a top subframe lock or something like that, you need to check it out.
Man, in principle, I don't have any fundamental issue with OTFs as an EDC, but most of them are piss poor at doing EDC knives things. The narrow blade and grinds mean they just don't cut well enough to be an EDC. Something like the empedc pulse is what I would consider as an OTF EDC option. Benchmade shootout is probably the best OTF purely as an EDC cutting tool , but crazy overpriced so I can't say I would put it on the list. It also does feel cheap even though I have no doubts about the durability. But damn is it functional.
Winter blade co would have got my money this year if they offered different blade shapes. I want a shape that will pierce easily. I respect that he has a particular shape that he is fond of or that is in keeping with the design theory but I just can’t bring myself to spend that kind of money on a knife that misses a major box on my checklist.
@ much obliged. Can’t wait to see it! I’ll be saving. Side note: Dagum that was a fast response and I truly appreciate the innovation. I have a very modest budget, but your designs are so cool that I’m going to make it happen. Keep up the good work!
I’ve looked can only find a few for more than they should be but the main problem is that they’re all green white and orange definitely want the silver version might be able to go with the black version if the price is right.
Also, MC, you forgot two other 2024 Winterblade releases. The Factor B3 came out early February and then the almighty Severn came out at the very end of July. That makes FIVE super impressive Winterblade releases for 2024! That’s crazy! But it’s understandable because you get them wayyyy before us plebs do 😂
The Kershaw isn’t a crazy deal, I’m pretty sure they had Hogue help on it but if hogue has been making magnacut crossbar knives for 120-150, no reason Kershaw can’t.
