He's 100% correct. I went two months without watching porn, I felt like i wasn't even trying not to watch it. It was like how you don't have to try to not kill anyone.
But I was way too overconfident, and one day I fell back into the sin. What I've learned is I never fell back in, I'd never gotten over it in the first place.
Be honest. It's not just about porn, it's about your sexual desires. Even just looking at that beautiful girl with THOSE eyes is practising lust.
We need Jesus. He's the only one who can help you because our power is limited and his is...well, you know...

Yes the social media part is big. It is throwing sexual images at you constantly. It’s caused me to fall over and over and I find that I need to just delete my social media apps.

@@caidenhensen2282 I’ve done it before and it helped a TON, as well as not watching Hollywood romance movies or movies that could have triggers, even some RUclips videos can have triggers. You kind of just have to stop with ALL media for a while till you regain control. I see some guys talk about how fasting has helped ALOT as well. I plan on removing social media again soon. 🙏
I did this. My Instagram and Facebook are both officially gone. Deleting all my social media’s has been something that has help tremendously. 🙏

God lead me to the decision to delete all social media about 3 or so months ago and it has been great. Much less temptation. Much clearer mind. I'm no longer the loose cannon of emotions that I once was. The distraction was definitely killing me slowly. Still working on beating the addiction, but working on it is better than ignoring it; and these videos help sooo much. I've watched only a few and achieving sobriety seems so much closer.

I have a question I think I've been getting lukewarm or backslidden. For the past month What's your advice on getting out of this state And really getting on fire for God
Sometimes it's hard for me To read my bible Or talk to God Because when I mess up or sin I just feel like I can't talk to him about it

I feel you, man. I understand that feeling, oftentimes I feel that way. One thing I will say is to not define your relationship to God by how you feel in the moment. Just because you don’t feel on fire for God doesn’t mean you aren’t saved or that God doesn’t love you as much. Try and keep your eyes on Jesus. The more you fall in love with Christ and His person and what He did for you, the more naturally things like reading your Bible will become. 🙏
Firstly, the best way to strengthen your faith always starts with prayer. Ask God to strengthen your faith and to give you love and fervor for Him. He will answer that prayer, as He is always faithful to His promises. Be in God's Word as well, even if it's only a small amount a day God will use that to sanctify you. Thirdly, surrounding yourself with Christian friends who you can discuss theology with is extremely helpful; iron sharpens iron, and not only can friends and elders in the church help strengthen your faith, but you can do the same for them.
When you find yourself feeling like you can't talk to God because you've sinned and aren't worthy, remind yourself of this: yes, you have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, acknowledge that and ask for forgiveness, and remind yourself that when God looks at you, He doesn't see you you and your imperfections. He sees Christ's perfect holiness, Christ's righteousness was imputed to you when He died on the cross for His chosen people. You are saved. God does not see you any longer, but He sees His perfect, holy Son who died so that we may live.
One thing that I've learned in my battle with lust is that the first place I should run is into the arms of my father (like the prodigal son), not away from him. Satan would love it if instead I flee and hide from God's presence like Adam and Eve, but in reality going straight into prayer and repentence is where I need to go! Look at David for instance, after realizing what he's done, that he has killed one of his mighty men and taken that man's wife for himself out of his own lust, he goes straight to fasting and repentence.

Remember, when we were weak, Christ died for the unrighteous. Who will die for anyone, at much someone will die for the just. There God shows us his love, that despite been sinners, Christ died for us. And now that we are already justified by him, how much more God will love us now? Remember, if we love the world and the things of the world, the love of the Father is not in us. For we to despise the worldly things, we need first to recieve and live in the love of the Father. Be joyfull, be content, because he loves you. In that grace we must stand firm, and be joyfull even in trials and tribulations, because the trial produces patience, patience approval, and approval hope, and hope isnt shameful, because are hope is in the glory that will be manifested in us, his glory
Going through this currently to I feel so stuck
3:58 i actually have started my Lust by watching a film. This was in jan 2023.
I didn't know that that movie had those scenes, but because I was not warned or informed of this i fell in to the trap.
I thought that it would feel good if recreated it. I began masturbading😢.
after a time started to look at wrong pictures. This kept going for about 6 months or somthing, because i went on a christian camp. But if you stop for a week that does not mean it is over.
After rhat i saw a video that it was not good. I have cut out incognito. I have did it once upon a long time until some time ago. Also i cut out secular music so i do not listen to demonic music that sat in it.
At this time i know when i must not do somethings. I trust in the lord that he will lead me.✝️

I know how important it is to obey God. Because twice I have not and thus have done the old lustful sin I did not wanted to do until I repented = gave up the game the Holy Spirit showed me I should not play and I ask for forgiveness. I then walked in the Spirit again and it is he who makes my body alive so I do not have to live according to my flesh and his desires. I am free of the sinful desires of the flesh because I am free of the power of sin as I got baptised in Jesus name, as long as I walk in the Spirit by obeying him and do not let myself guide by my thinkings, emotions, or feelings who are against God and against what the Holy Spirit showed and taught me. That is why God tells us to take every thought captive and put it under his control.

if you are saying "i could cut it out if i wanted to" that means you dont want to which is very problematic
Okay riddle me this. What am I supposed to do when I'm trying to go to bed? Cause that's a lot of the time when I feel tempted most. When I'm alone and trying to fall asleep, and I already have a tough time falling asleep, it always pops into mind at least once. Then my overthinking mind will go on and on until I eventually give in.

There is a law of sin that is stronger than our fallen flesh...so no...however Christ in us can...read Roman's especially & all pauls epistles for better understanding...ultimately u gotta trust God's grace & rest and abide in Him
I am free from lust because I walk in the spirit and the Holy Spirit made my body alive, lite it is written in Romans 8.
And God showed this to me a few days ago where he brought me to a woman who sold their soul to satan and he and his demons bring men to her so she has s*ex with them. But I was not tempted there at all, the evil had no power over me. I instead talked to her about God what he has done in my life and the gospel of Jesus.
If I would not be reborn in Jesus and walk in his pure spirit, I wouldn't have been able to resist the demons and the women. Let me tell you how I got free of lust the sin I was most affected by:
I will also tell you God's truth (his Word) not just my story because to believe the truth of God will set you free of lies, doubts, fear and sin.
As a Child of God (those who belong to Jesus, baptised with the Holy Spirit and reborn in him) we are from God reborn in Jesus, pure. Jesus is our King and Savior so we are no more slaves of Satan, the sin has lost its power over us so we are able in Jesus to resist all temptations like God tells us through Paul (but we need to walk in the Spirit (of Jesus in who we are reborn) for that and believe Jesus that he says we are pure in him). Jesus burried our old nature, the old nature is dead and we got a new pure nature in Jesus.
As I got baptised (October 2019) in Jesus name the sin has lost its power over me and I was aware of this because my heart got ~one year before broken and much worse deeply damaged and because of that my body had a great sinful desire I could not resist because of the power of sin. I fought day by day but I could not win the war but Jesus won it for me. As I got baptised my inner self (my spirit and thus my old sinful nature) died and my spirit was reborn in Jesus so I received a new nature in Jesus. And as I got baptised the force of my body to do the sin was gone, I was able to not sin from that moment, I was set free by Jesus. As long as I stay in Jesus I am free of sin.
Jesus did not just die and rose again to forgive our sins he made it so we are free of the power of sin to be able to live a life without to sin!
Jesus says we need to be reborn and baptised with his Holy Spirit to enter the Kingdom of Heaven.
And I received the Holy Spirit (end of 2015) as I closed the door for a sin God showed me before. And after that I invited God into my life by saying "God I invite you into my life". And God filled my heart with his pure love by the Holy Spirit placed in my heart, it felt like I had the sun in my heart and I became alive. I now know God gave me a new heart with that act too because the Holy Spirit can only stay in us if we got a new heart, the old heart can't hold us (Mark 2, 22). The old heart was empty the new is alive by the Holy Spirit.
Jesus also tells us to stay in him so we bear good fruits but if we leave him we will be like dead and bear no good fruits at all (John 15, 5 - 6). I also experienced this too after I got baptised.
Let me tell you this in short:
After baptism I got free of the power of sin but one day one old sin came back, the same I did as my body had the great sinful desire. I could not understand this so I asked God why. He showed me I need to walk in the spirit and accept that I am a new pure creation in Jesus, »pure«. As I truly accepted this it became reality, it became alive for me. Because a true faith will be shown in your life (has works).
The same applies to what God tells us in Romans 8 (through Paul). If we let our Mind guide by the Holy Spirit we will have life and peace. And this peace will be shown in our life and if we believe it (hear it and do it = let our mind guide by the Holy Spirit). God's peace makes us able not to walk after the flesh so we do not have to sin and do not have to do the bad we don't want to do, because the Holy Spirit will make our body alive (also in Romans 8).
So as I started to walk in the spirit I also stopped doing the old sin again by the power and grace of the Holy Spirit. That is what it is called to live by grace, not by works by grace we are free!
But two times I let myself guide by my flesh (earthly thoughts) instead of the Holy Spirit.
The Holy spirit showe me not to play one specific videogame but after one week I thought it would not be that bad to play it. I was wrong. Because as I played this game I again have done the sin I did not wanted to do without beeing able to do something against it. But as I gave up the game (and ask for forgiveness) after ~two weeks I again walked in the spirit and by the grace and power of the Holy Spirit I stopped doing the old sin without the need to fight. It is all by grace.
The second time I was reading God words written in the Holy Bible and God showed me I should not take part in activities the world does. I knew it in my Spirit it means I should not play videogames, I knew it. But after some time I thought lets test if he really means every Game, so I played a game which I thought is not that bad. And bam, I again did the old sin I didn't wanted to do without beeing able not to do it. And as I stopped playing the game after ~one week and asked for forgiveness I stopped doing the old sin without the need to fight by the power of the Holy Spirit within me who made my body alive.
"But if we confess our sins, he is trustworthy and right so that he can forgive us our sins and make us clean from all that is not right in us." = 1 John 9
God tells us to take every thought captive and to put it under Jesus control (Corinthians 10, 5). I now know how important that is.
= Obey God is key. Do not let yourself guide by your flesh = earthly thinkings, feelings and emotions who are against something God showed you.
Of course not all feelings, thoughts and emotions will lead you to do something against God but if they want you to do something that is against God (something he already taught you), against something God showed you through the Holy Spirit like he showed me, then you should not follow those feelings, thoughts or emotions and obey God instead.
No Lust can defeat Flesh.
1)
"Lust" is a phenomenon or drive, it cannot be satisfied it's like a black hole, But only God can fulfill The lust phenomenon.
2)
The problem comes here.
Flesh the carnal man is too strong in many Christians, so they falling into "Lust", The highest form of pleasure for Flesh is sex. Flesh man is trying to fulfill "Lust" with sex. But cannot fill it.
3)
*The flesh or carnal man must die*
so that the Spirit man can take charge over and use Lust the phenomenon for God, to fulfill it, that's where you get lust fulfilled completely satisfied by God. Original design.
4)
Don't pray to God to remove the drive which moves you to do, but ask God to give knowledge to divert the Drive the phenomenon to drive in Spirit, to fulfill it in God.
I hope you get it, that's a deep meat here, God knows what He made but we don't get how to drive it in Spirit. ❤
The head must always be the spirit man to have Lust"t in His power.
@@ThatVibes-117 @ThatVibes-117 The flesh is defeated by Jesus and you can have this victory if you get baptised in Jesus name. I tell you the Truth of God who counts for all his Children. But you need to walk in the spirit for that. Galather 5, 16: "This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh."
The proof that our old nature dies with the baptism gives us God in Romans 6, 4 -12:
"4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. 5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: 6 knowing this, that our old man [our old sinful nature] is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. 7 For he that is dead is freed from sin. 8 Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him: 9 knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him. 10 For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God. 11 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.
12 Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof. "
"Lust" Or "drive" Is a phenomenon, It is not sexual or it is not about sex, "Lust" is a word we use to describe the drive which moves us strongly to do. Lust is like a black hole cannot be fulfill, Lust the phenomenon is can only be fulfilled by God. Period.
Flesh desires sex to fulfill itself, lust is a phenomenon which cannot be satisfied, Flesh is a strong man in a carnal man. Flesh uses the lust phenomenon to satisfy sex. The highest form of pleasure for flesh.
The spirit man is too weak to have "Lust the phenomenon" to fulfill the God desire in Him which God only can fulfill the lust phenomenon.
The flesh or carnal man must die, to use Lust for God. Original design.
The spirit man must be strong to use Lust to fulfill God inside.
Lust itself is not bad, don't pray to remove lust, but ask God to give knowledge to manage the lust the drive in a positive way, to move in spirit.
God made it, we must learn to use it, effectively. ❤
