Allied Universal is a very unprofessional company that treats their employees like cattle. They have supervisors in charge that have no experience to do their jobs. I showed them muiltple permits I had. Went over the training, and experience. They didnt have the knowledge of what I had. Allied Universal isnt ment to be a career based job. Its ment to get your experience to move on to something better. If only the clients knew how bad they treated their workers. Not sure what your goals are. This goes to anyone seeing this. I been doing security for a long time. Doesnt matter what permits you have. If you want better opportunities to where you have better negotiating power during the interview. Get military police experience or law enforcement training. This is going to allow you to have better opportunities to where supervisors cant b.s with you. With crime rising. This will help you in the long run. Allied Universal is a honestly a joke. From what you went over in thr video. You honestly should pursue that unless you have other goals in mind. The mental health issues are getting worse. Im seeing it at both my jobs. Once again I seriously encourage people to look into military police training so you have better negotiating power to make more than 18 to 20 bucks per hour. Push that pay into 35 plus, and beyond. Also the manager I was meeting with. She was over an hour late. I should of walked out. That should of been my red flag.
You're speaking of Allied Universal as if every branch was run the exact same way. That's not the case of my branch. I am a supervisor, I have never missed work, I have never called in, If sick I deal with it like I should. I don't make any excuses for any reason. I lead my team by example and my local office supports me in every hiring decision for my post because they trust that I -along with my team will do what's right and what's on the book. It's not fair for you to make a blunt statement like that without basing it on facts. Just like the US has 50 states there will be 50 ways of doing things at Allied. I have worked in five other states and some branches were more professional than others.
@kalulew the unfortunate truth is yes they are. Security work works against you. You pay for state training on your time. Security work will never be a career unless you gain military experience or law enforcement training. Its probably different in other states. California is ridiculous. The security companies goal is to see how cheap they can be to maximize profits on their end. It even goes as far as hiring security guards that wont sue them for labor law violations. I been doing it a long time. I constantly check the matket. Armed security right now is maxed out at 20. Thats disgusting, and unacceptable. Its the same pay as unarmed security work. Supervisors positions are 18 to 25 depending on the company. And you work for that money. The issue with supervisors with hiring to this day. No experience at all in security work. They don't understand nor care how expensive it is to maintain permits. I keep running into supervisors that don't even know what a CCW is. Yet they are hiring for armed security. Most don't know what a PC832 is. During the holidays we had muiltple incidents happen where law enforcement was involved. I did a report. When I finished the report. I reached out to all 3. Only one responds back saying copy. No one checks on the job site, or does a follow up. One claims to be going into law enforcement yet I somehow pass more information law enforcement related than he does. Its not even worth doing security work without the other training. With how bad the economy is. Seriously again military experience just suck it up. Or push hard for law enforcement. I also forgot to add how ridiculous some of the interviews get. I applied for a armed security position ccw at 35. 1st interview went well the second one got stupid. I was told I wasnt able to get the job due to not having SRT,FBI, SWAT tactical experience. They wanted, and expected me to have experience to jump out of helicopters. Clear office rooms in a tactical manner. They wanted Rainbow 6 siege type experience. They wanted me to also carry flashbangs with me while wearing a suit. I seriously thought this was a joke. I thought I was being pranked. But no they were dead serious. That level of experience puts you around 75 to 100 plus per hour. This was a corporate office building in a nice area. The crime stats were not bad for that area. To ask for that level of training. And to only pay 35 for it is insane. Its stupid. No one is going to take that position. They wanted a full on tact kit. While wearing a damn suit.
What they'd LIKE, in skill sets, compared to who gets hired are usually pretty far apart. I've worked huge tech company's, small businesses, schools, currently at a Global Tech Co. And am finally making enough money to get current, & STAY current on my bills and get a little money ahead. Next month, I apply to Social Security and Medicare, so that will "kill" money going out for Medical Insurance, AND give me a little cushion of income there. Then try to hang in for another 5 years until retirement. And "Goodbye, Allied!"
Ive work with Securitas for about 4 years now this month I apply for thus company he is taking about before I started to work for securitas i would hear bad things about securitas il still with them till this day I Haven’t left I got a supervisor position at AU we’ll see how it goes tomorrow I got my orientation I’m down here in Cali
So sorry to hear your story. Poor supervisors can ruin your experience. I wish you worked for me. People suck, hope you find a good career my man. Try and get into proprietary security, the training and benefits are generally a lot better. I worked for Allied when I first started out, now I work for a major defense company and make 95k a year as just an officer but it took me ten years to get this far. Good mentors were very important in my journey and I guess I got lucky. Wish you all the best.
The security field is vast. You could be doing chuckle fuck contracts like he was, or working real contracts for the government and everything in between
Security isn't the issue. AI is. I'm currently working for Allied and it's bs. I have a second security job I'm also currently working and it's a much better experience than Allied Universal.
It really just matters what location you get. I've worked some sites where I'm alone and worked some sites where there's 10 guards plus supervisors watching you like a hawk just waiting to try and get you fired,
Which - if you think about it - is pretty stupid. It's easier to take 5 or 10 minutes to show, tell, and encourage someone ESPECIALLY if you're a Supe. Then, YOU know that they KNOW, and it solves the problem (generally) for good. Guidance is appreciated, especially by a Newbie who really doesn't know the procedures.
I just got hired by Allied to be an insurance fraud investigator. I don't start until Dec. 12 in California. I'm a little unnerved by all the testimonials of the security guards. Usually it isn't much better for investigators. A red flag to me also is the fact that Allied wants me to use my own laptop computer for company business!!! That means my laptop can be subpoenaed for evidence should the related investigation's information be called into court!!!! I'm going with it right now but I have my hand on the ejection handle for sure. To be continued......
They don't train you, the LTs don't supervisor the Sgts, the Sgts don't supervisor the ofcs. When things go bad they blame the ofcs. This company is completely unprofessional, and they mainly just use people for the time being then dispose of them vs. Managing and supervising the staff they have.
Brotha u did everything right if people gonna be a supervisor they need to know what there doing point blank period instead of having the officer do it for them but u should of took it but aye u didn't want to that fine tho but some of them get mad when u do better.
@armedcitizen2227 Honestly I'm not sure the exact things but each company is different. I'm pretty sure as long as you don't have anything major like murder or attempt or anything around or near that you should be good.
This explains why I have seen so many 1st amendment audit videos where an Allied Universal security guard working at a government building won't identify. And why I've seen so many of them call the police or even go hands on for people taking photographs in public. If you are guarding a public building and a member of the public asks for you name and id number you have to provide it. The only time a security guard can go hands on is to make a citizens arrest, which means anyone could go hands on in that situation. Observe and report.
I was gonna ask if you needed a guard card before the hiring process, but it looks like they hire without. (because of training.) this kinda gives me hope cuz, I rage quit my last job at home depot and I'm running out of cash fast. XP
Do you still respond? Hey man I currently work for allied universal at a Bank of America unarmed post and my supervisor still has not given me a bulletproof vest two months in now this is insane I would buy one but they’re 1,000 dollars

In WA State it's $89/year. Mine's up for renewal next month. Allied doesn't pay for "diddly-squat" when it comes to guard licenses - I just renew mine online so I don't have to go into the office. I think it was $105.00 the first year.
Dude I'm glad that you made the right choice to leave out of there. That company is horrendous. It's one of the worst his company that is out there conducting business. They pretty much higher worldwide I believe our nation why not sure. But you see them a lot in New York City and they horrendous. I have no idea how the New York City doesn't have no clue of how horrendous this company is which they have several contracts for New York City probably State and also Federal. Allied Universal all they do is buy small companies out and they take over it's all about money they don't care about your health they don't care about your safety they don't train you. Pretty much they just hire people from the streets that they are looking for a job send them to a location with no training not not knowing what to do. That's it it's all about having a body with a uniform and a security presence. They'll put you in a really bad location and they don't tell you nothing about safety what to do they don't tell you anything they horrendous. And you stay in a job like that I understand is because you might need couple of dollars. But they don't care about you at all. They are nationwide company they can replace you anytime any moment they don't care. Look at the history and all the lawsuits that they have nationwide is crazy. And then go back to post so you tell me if that's a good place to work for or not

Get life experience, go to school, police agencies are hesitant to hire folks under 25 most of the time, due to maturity levels (males brains don’t fully develop until mid to late 20’s). The more experience you have on your portfolio the better, many young adults do security, it’s the usual paving stone to law enforcement, so what makes you better then them? Gotta stand out. Be prepared to be deferred if your under 25, it’s not that your not fit for police, you might just have some maturing to do, even if you don’t agree but it’s biology.
I used to work for Allied Universal and they are the worst of the worst, the managers are awful and they simply dont care, now I do security for the Trump Organization which is in-house security and let me tell you, theres never "no-shows", that shit is not tolerated, everyone has respect for one another and the work envoronment is more of a brotherly bond. Highly recommend you ditch contract security and look for in-house.
I had a stupid supervisor that tried to write me up for insubordination. I was supposed to call different sights in the area once every hour for a safety check. Well, I got distracted one night and forgot to do it and he said I was insubordinate. I told him that I didn't refuse to obey an order, I just forgot to do a duty. His boss told him later that that wasn't insubordination. Dumbasses in all walks of life.
They tried to fire me my second day bc my trainer was sleeping and wearing sunglasses so the management team at Amazon have a target on my back I did tell the Amazon manager to chill bc she wouldn’t stop complaining to the point she was just saying stuff bc she didn’t like him I get it but she would not stop I feel like if you in security you should have some type of voice no you are are treated like your under the employees like some cases it feels like you can’t say are do nothing. I just find it crazy bc its really a easy job but don’t say anything to anyone and don’t think there your friend bc there not . And never show that you are upset. I still working here but I may ask for a transfer.
The orientation is long as hell😂. Then you get to the site; and the supervisor dont train. But have another employee; show you the bare minimum. You have to ask questions just to learn the job. What a joke😂😂😂😂😂
this entire video sounds to me like you - as the new booty, had too much of an opinion and set a "complainer" standard for how the supervisor saw you, not enough overall experience for the amount of complaints verbally submitted, AND you developed an opinion based on the personal lives of others be it "cheating on wives" or otherwise. best way to get along in security no matter the team or team leads, is to get in, do your time, get your money, and get out. everything else is noise. security is THE EASIEST job EVER, if you make it easy.
I'll be honest with you like take my word on this...... Allied will hire anybody and the job only works or benefits scumbags too include myself when it comes to work, like I was in school for IT shit, like I literally took that job so they'd hold my clearance until I finished my degree and then I skated and the whole setup worked for me, I could bring my laptop in and hotspot and not do shit while I got my school work done and I got paid...... now if you're wanting excellent leadership and progression I would not go to allied, its not going to work out for you if thats your profession , definitely not lying to you

We need more people like you.
That’s a lot of money for in-house security. You are lucky.
You are Blessed and Appreciated ☆ I am in Downtown Toledo now and love this city ♡
Best advice try to move on from security
So true, that's why I keep my head down and avoid others lol
I'm thinking about going to human resources to report a higher up for retaliation... should I do it?
I don't think you should do it only for retaliation but for other reasons too
Not worth reporting…….
HR is not your friend
Go to the labor commissioner for retaliation. 10-15k $$ once you win.
HR will get you fired. Don't do it.
To be continued......
some people just difficult
How much do they pay in texas starting?
I worked night shift as security paramedic and I loved it. Some management issues but mostly good
They don't train you, the LTs don't supervisor the Sgts, the Sgts don't supervisor the ofcs. When things go bad they blame the ofcs. This company is completely unprofessional, and they mainly just use people for the time being then dispose of them vs. Managing and supervising the staff they have.
Yeah you’re right they don’t train you for 💩 crap!
Typical Allied traning lets have a walk around the site, "alight your traning is done just sit at this desk for the next 8hrs"
@@selfoblivionalex6262 lmao so true, then complain about us not doing anything. Umm that's what you literally hired us for. Observe and report.
Been working here for a couole months still no security licnese or proper training
Brotha u did everything right if people gonna be a supervisor they need to know what there doing point blank period instead of having the officer do it for them but u should of took it but aye u didn't want to that fine tho but some of them get mad when u do better.
What the disqualifications for criminal history i have some misdemeanors on my record
For my location I believe you are still eligible depending on what they are. But I believe for most is don't matter especially if it's basic things.
@Toro78 what type misdemeanors charges do you think will disqualify you
@armedcitizen2227 Honestly I'm not sure the exact things but each company is different. I'm pretty sure as long as you don't have anything major like murder or attempt or anything around or near that you should be good.
@Toro78 ok appreciate it
They hire non violent felons where I'm at.
I have a friend who got a write up cuz he throw all the write up sheets at the dumpster, PC printer more lol.
No free doughnuts!
I was gonna ask if you needed a guard card before the hiring process, but it looks like they hire without. (because of training.)
this kinda gives me hope cuz, I rage quit my last job at home depot and I'm running out of cash fast. XP
I'm about to upload another video talking a bit about that and what to do with dickhead bosses
How is it going for you?
Great video 😊
It’s all about location my man lol
Do you still respond? Hey man I currently work for allied universal at a Bank of America unarmed post and my supervisor still has not given me a bulletproof vest two months in now this is insane I would buy one but they’re 1,000 dollars
I work ay a warehouse and I hate it my boss came to the date and wrote me up.i feel like hospital jobs are safer
Cheer up bro 😎 u got your guard card could work anywhere … also they getting. Sued again … keep pushing stay cool
I left Allied Security the staffs are rude and disrespectful and I only was with the for 4 months.I started off as a flex for 18 and I got transferred to another post for 20 dollars. They never answer their phones and always leave you at the site if another guard dont show up..Dont call you to say you have to stay .Just leave you to do the job.I worked in California area..They really really sucks. Losing sites and all
Illinois very similar. They never told you when your release wasn’t showing up.
Hi bro I am allied universal security guard work like one month. I want to know How long does it take to get promoted, like superviser,OP manager
It really all depends on how good of a job you're doing and your supervisors
Depending on location, you're most likely gonna have to apply on their job site.
I work security at a stop and rob gas station, graveyard shift. All the free coffee and donuts you want. Plus get to talk to heinas working there all night. Course, you can get shot too.
I’ve experienced a lot of what he said when I became super I was not the type to talk down or act better than anyone. Higher ups definitely sleep around lol it’s wild but again I’m a man of integrity I don’t care about a title respect will be shown or we can box 🤷🏾♂️🤞🏾
Just got into Allied Universal first day today at truck gate Duty whatever the hell that means man you should have went for supervisor sounds like you were really good at what you were doing
U still doing it ? How ya like it so far if so ?
But yeah all the security job is is siting around an watching all day 🤣 i know this is downbad but i. Watch tv an game on my.phone all day or sleep for like 10 mins lol
I also quit my job at Allied Universal...
I know what you mean bro. My last post of 12.5 years without any issue with leadership. Then come to this new site, leadership have their favorites and the hard workers like me have to work harder coz their pets are allowed to sit and sleep without issues. Looking into armed and out of this crappy place real soon.
Also i hate my fing director to 🤣 he very shitty i plan on quitting after a year an half
Damn the Opening Sigh of dissapointment What a Way to start the video lol
How much was the gard card and how much for the entire amount?
I believe about 100 dollars but sometimes the company pays for it
In WA State it's $89/year. Mine's up for renewal next month. Allied doesn't pay for "diddly-squat" when it comes to guard licenses -
I just renew mine online so I don't have to go into the office.
I know a girl working for Allied Universal she was posted in a Bank of America at Night by herself watching ATMs. I told her how she's going to use the bathroom she was told by a supervisor to see if she can find a basement and use the bathroom there. And then go back to post so you tell me if that's a good place to work for or not
This is the guy that gets hired, gets trained, gets asked if he has any questions, and says no.
What questions? All the Training u get is a lame pointless video.
@@selfoblivionalex6262 you dont show at a site and have someone show you around?
@@yomiscythetalon7793 Nope. First night 2 nights ago and had no one to show me around and anything. Just had a dispatcher call me for 2-3 mins to tell me what to do then I follow my post orders and learned everything myself. Now on my 2nd shift, nothing to do.
@@yomiscythetalon7793 I started last week and also didn't receive this. Just got post orders and that's it. Although, there were other armed guards from other companies helped me get by most things.
They don’t show you shit lol they show you power points like the other commenter said and expect you to figure it out 🙄
Patch him up??
Also, get your security contractor license.
Whats up bro ive been in the business for 10 plus years now security is all a profit game your manager gets paid triple what the guard does and the company makes major bank while the guard gets the scraps you just have to learn how to play the game.
I am a security officer and omg !!!!! i have been in security for 5 years. I basically patrol ghetto shopping centers and it is sooooo bad!!!!! Folsk hate us security officers
We must work in the same state 😂 I live near Chicago

Same I’m waiting till I’m 21 to be a cop
@@lenerdchirch9161 i feel ya on that brother cops are cool am i right
@FitLifeKev if you are 21 id suggest you be a cop i worked for allied but i resigned because they lied an cut my pay an isnt paying me good
@FitLifeKev basically chase your dreams dont work a job that's boring besides they dont pay there employees enough
Do they drug test at orientation?
Yes, it can be different at certain sites
My security director smokes dabs
@@NotFunnyBrooyea they really don’t give a fuck barely started and first day on site training the guy who trained me reeked of bud 😅
@@NotFunnyBrooyea they really don’t give a shit first day on site the guy who trained me reeked of bud 😅😅
Been there week and I’m feeling the booty cheeks bow smh
this entire video sounds to me like you - as the new booty, had too much of an opinion and set a "complainer" standard for how the supervisor saw you, not enough overall experience for the amount of complaints verbally submitted, AND you developed an opinion based on the personal lives of others be it "cheating on wives" or otherwise.
best way to get along in security no matter the team or team leads, is to get in, do your time, get your money, and get out. everything else is noise. security is THE EASIEST job EVER, if you make it easy.
Allied is one of the worst companies to work for. Who in the world would want to work for a hotdog water company?
All your problems sound personal not job related. Nothing about the hour’s or pay.
I'll be honest with you like take my word on this...... Allied will hire anybody and the job only works or benefits scumbags too include myself when it comes to work, like I was in school for IT shit, like I literally took that job so they'd hold my clearance until I finished my degree and then I skated and the whole setup worked for me, I could bring my laptop in and hotspot and not do shit while I got my school work done and I got paid...... now if you're wanting excellent leadership and progression I would not go to allied, its not going to work out for you if thats your profession , definitely not lying to you
Yeah, they are one of the worst company to work for as long as you can walk you are hired. One of the worst companies to work for. Get as much certification as you can. There are much better companies out there at a much higher rate.
These young bucks dhould be trying to get into real law enforcement ehy would you do this bullshit
Seems that was ya attitude the whole time. I mean it’s common sense,if you weren’t trained should of spoke up and stated firmly but fairly I wasn’t trained so I will not do it simple, you got written up anyway. Next time speak up.
Sometimes you aren't able to speak up especially if those that you're supposed to be able to talk to just end up treating you like shit or not caring.
