You're pretty much describing every security company out there with the exception of a very few. Allied is pretty much the bottom of the barrel for security companies. Easy to get hired and use as a stepping stone to get credentials to move on. Just follow the money and get your bread with who ever pays more.
Allied Security was the worst Security company I ever worked for very unprofessional and you’re right good guards getting no respect at that company don’t waste your time
I've been in Security for 9 years 2 years armed. Allied is probably one of the worst companies I've ever worked for as soon as I got my lvl 3 I was out of there.
All right. Starting this week. Cant wait to see what it is like. The position actually pays more than alot of the mom and pops in this area. Good luck to us. Heard a lot of bad things about Allied, but all i hear from potential employees is "how do i pass the drug test" even in the waiting room at the office. I heard nothing but glowing reviews about my current employer....reality didnt meet expectations
Allied was a good place to "cut my teeth" so to speak in the security industry. However, after 17 months with Allied U., I absolutely HAD to leave. Allied is too "big" their own good! They are so AFRAID of liability, that they micro-manage to a FAULT, and make working for them a nightmare! They have goofey uniforms and silly policies. That said, at least i got a good taste of the civilian security industry. Now, I work for a small company that pays well and gives its Patrol Officers, broad latitude and NEVER micro manages. We are entrusted to simply use good judgement and perform our duties. Allied also has a high personnel turn-over. No BUENO!!!
You should be careful not to get labeled as a job-hopping guard. I would advise guards to carry arms, obtain all your gear, permits, and only leave if you have a better pay scale, say, 2 to 4 bucks.
That right they are so unorganized management with payroll they never can paid you the correct paid when you work on a holiday when you call them to correct your paid, they get so upset the best thing you can do is call the branch manager in human resources and you work long hour shift and Allied is at the bottom of the barrel.
Question: The body armor u are wearing. Was that provided by Allied Universal or is that personally owned by u? I'm trying to get hired on by Allied Universal, Garda etc... :)
You should have no trouble getting hired by allied! 👍Call after you applied online! Allied does not provide body armor or vest, just basic uniform pants and shirt/ jacket/ hats & Beanies.
@m here in NYC. I attended an Allied Interview/ Job offer last week. @m 60 years old. I thought it was going to @n Old Skewel Job Interview. When I got there in lower Manhattan there were People there in different stages of Employment. Like myself I was going through the initial Process some officers were getting there schedules adjusted or getting work for the 1st time. Some officers were receiving uniforms. All this is no problem,However they had 1 officer administering all of this. I walked out because I had to go to work.

never escalate, advise them of trespass warning. if they were given previous trespass warning and they continue to trespass it now becomes a criminal trespass and call police.
Allied Universal in NYC has been hiring migrants with temporary work visas over legal citizens. I applied with Allied about a month ago at the Manhattan main office and could not believe the number of Haitians and Africans (from the continent of Africa) sitting in the waiting area for an interview. I went there in need of a job, and about 2 hours later, I walked out with nothing. If you are a legal citizen, do not waste your time applying with Allied Universal. They only hire migrants. I am former Navy with 18 years of security experience and cannot land a job. The truth is the truth. Allied Universal is a joke in poor taste.
