“The easiest job i ever had but the worst job i ever had” Perfect quote for working for this company. Glad you got out. I am about too. It’s only a matter of time before this company crumbles apart.
@@LoversAnonymousMusic I am sure, i’m applying for other places right now and glad i watched your video!! Glad you got out too, such a toxic environment
Unfortunately, AUS has become one of the top 5 largest Security companies in America, if not the World. I used to work for them as well. Under paid, under trained, and they'll try to write you up for reasons they are responsible for. That was the last straw for me.
I worked as a recruiter for a large security company and I loved helping the AU employees come over to us. Most rewarding part of my job. Good luck to you, man!
Rule #1 of security is don't be fooled into a promotion to supervisor. A few more dollars an hour can be great but you are responsible for covering all of the unattended shifts. People love to call off. I've had to work 80 hour weeks before, which is illegal. When things go south, you are blamed for things you are not responsible for.
hahaha mine i didn't even get a few more dollars...and my worst week was 74 hours..it was a lateral move because i was the highest paid guard at my first site. i started at $13 and they told me i was gonna get this other position for 15 but it never happened and then I went to this site because we lost the contract on my first site. my final pay after 2 promotions and doing an insane amount for the company $13 same as my starting even though I asked 3 times for more money and told them I was searching for other employment even though this was the height of the beginning of the pandemic
@IVVonEl - I had a company that pulled that same play with me. I was even made responsible for training people on sites I didn't work. When somebody lost keys at 2 in the morning, they called me to help instead of management. Then they tried to make it mandatory to do another 8 hours of training through their company so that they could charge the clients more money. I asked if we could all get a bump in pay to see the benefits of their game and they said they could do $0.25/an hour. I texted back that I would be leaving my uniforms at their office. The last thing they said to me was "I thought you were trying to grow with the company." HA! You can make me CEO, if I'm not getting paid fairly, it means nothing.
Now retired after 27 years in private security. The last 13 was with Allied. Getting ready one day I got a call from Allied telling me I was no longer to work at that location, when I asked why they said they could not tell be. Never written up, worked plenty of double shifts, etc. When the client wants you gone for whatever reason they will always side with the client.
That's the dirty little secret of the security business. If you're assigned to an account that's on private property, the client can call, in this case, AUS and tell them not to send _____ back there anymore. They don't even have to give a reason, and AUS has to comply for the simple fact that it's private property... Edited for spelling
I’ve been doing security for at least a good 15 years about two years ago. I was with Allied for the light rail for about four years It literally could be something as simple as you not smiling enough or even greeting people in my case management started to protect customers more than guards allowing them to spit on us without repercussions that’s when I called it quits
Exactamundo. i currently work in Allied. 60 plus hours a week. Luckily it's almost all armed so the OT pay is really good. Especially the Wallgreens posts.
I was a Site Supervisor for Allied. This guy is totally right. Under staffed is an understatement! Then they expect the supervisor to cover the shift. Allied is the worst place to work!
Ups is the same as this one i worked with them and they would always lie and say oh were overstaffed for 3 weeks straight they treated me like trash i went to use the bathroom one time since i been working there for 20mn maybe cause i ate something that made me sick i come back and the 3 trucks i was doing the dude next to me threw bixes all over the place and they lie and blqme me for it on top of that blaming me for other things i cant be in and out of a truck in 5 seconds with a seriously heavy box they talked to me lile garbage im never lage at all always a hr early i get treated so badly plus i was new like hell no im not going for that i quit the day after plus i was sick and coughing real bad and they dont care wont even let me take a day off to get better thats just unfair then the driver helper i signed up for didn't let me work at all the entire month last month and now because of them im late on all my credit cards and no money to pay and plus im in the minus on my debit card
Just walked away from Allied myself as an Operation Manager. They had me managing 38 plus site and over 300 Security Professional, with just 13 Site Supervisor and I was considering the Site Supervisor for the other sites. 70% of which had the same issue and site conditions. They were underpaid as well as extremely over worked. My district was short 250 plus Officers. Best of luck to you
I am also leaving the company however my company was very supportive of my decision and treated me excellent but I do understand the frustrations and security field
I’m in Seattle out of shoreline I been under H R review over a month email several times no one has yet to respond please help if anyone have a direct contact to HR please let me know.
I hope you found something better as well. I took the responsibility for my site, and I believe the supervisors and site managers should have their employees back more. The buck stops with the area managers/client managers. They're the ones that put those people into their positions of power and make sure the sites are staffed.
I worked for Securitas back in 2022. Had a supervisor give me incomplete instructions for a post I was supposed to be working for the day. He told me a completely different post, got me in trouble for not being at the post HE didn’t tell me to go to, and proceeded to insult my work ethic and yell at me in front of my colleagues. When I reported him for his misconduct, I GOT FIRED. I also worked for Allied. I was one of my favorite sites, but the company as a whole was trash. You’re only allowed one call out A YEAR and if you have a family emergency or God forbid you get sick, you get fired for taking more days off even with a doctors note. It’s completely unethical and unfair to the guards to break their backs to make the company run efficiently.
Security will make anybody believe what they want you to hear. I call it... Corporate America companies. Look at G4S Security. A bunch of a Wannabe Cops company.
@@The_Observer1845 Sorry to hear that. My personal opinion about these (corporate america) security companies is a joke. The best jobs are the (private or family owned).
And here i am enjoying it. Whatever contract yiu guys have. Doesnt represent what allied universal is. My last contract was a difficult one. My account manager was amazing. His higher ups were ok. I love my current contract. Dont blame the whole lot of us if its just your contract.
Honestly security is just a stepping stone so if you're working there just stay there long enough to save maybe 10 to 32 grand. It's just a lot of negative thinking in a lot of these posts and guards bringing their problems to work. A lot of sites don't respect the break schedules and expect you to answer a call even if you just finished heating up your lunch.
Leave already the company does not want you ...... go find an easier job.......btw if you do please let everyone know what that is so we can go do it>....
They don’t keep their promises, flat out lie at times. Don’t care about their employees or supervisors. I was a supervisor for them, threw me to the wolves just to kiss the feet of a former client. Then wonder why they have such a high turnover rate. The guys who screw the pooch on contracts get promoted, the guys who work their tails off to rescue and recover contracts get used as fall guys
They need to listen to the clients they would look stupid if they argue with the clients. It’s not Allied building from the beginning it’s the Building Managers if someone doesn’t want you there it’s obviously bc of something you did and you screwed up
@@_alvarovalencia I wasn’t the one who screwed the pooch on the Contract. Admitted by the client. They changed companies because of Allied upper management not communicating with them. The client tried to get all the Allied staff to go over to the new company. That new company came In and screwed up very seriously with the computer software and then blamed the previous company, hence me. It was dirty all the way around. In any case I don’t care anymore, have a way cooler job now 😎
that's because try hards end up doing more BULLSHIT for the client than the contract stipulates which causes a lot of shit on both sides, People playing that friends with everyone bs, first of all everybody ain't your friend second do you job being professional means a wall of separation between the professional and the client and their employees.
I remember the team lead on this one site was essentially harassing me (tried to say things like me taking my jacket on and off in the lobby was undressing or some such horseshit) and I contacted 3 people who were above us and not a single one got back to me. What's the point of having so many bosses if not even one can return a fucking email?@@jesseDelisle
After 12 years with Securitas at the same site, I abandoned the site 2 hours into my shift in August. I was fed up with no adult leadership, poor quality guards, and no support from Securitas. I was the only guard at the gated site, and I am told that all hell broke loose after I left. Securitas will hire anyone with a pulse, and they accept contracts that pay less than McDonalds.
Yeah there's always Walmart too. I finally settle with Walmart and it's not perfect but it's better than security. I'm the maintenance manager so it's like 50% sweeping/50% forklift/riding scrubber. Which are kind of like doing patrols. haha I realized I'm basically just doing patrols walking around walmart while picking stuff up haha nothing ever changes
That's 100% true! Been there done that with these mediocre companies! Just remember you're a licensed contractor and you don't have to take anyone's BS or accept an underpaying or dangerous post! Research and look for what suits YOU financially and safety wise! And always pride yourself sky high!
I’ve worked for Securitas making $17 hourly in Massachusetts weekend position only. My post sucks. The client facility has the shittiest cameras, half of them don’t even work and they fix everything but refuse to fix the cameras for whatever reason. They obviously don’t care enough about the safety of the building. When I applied for this job as my first ever security job I thought it would be a REAL security position but no. They treat me like a receptionist. They expect me to know and handle things that have NOTHING to do with security work. When people call about the client facility’s HR department or payroll issues I have no fucking clue how to answer because I was ONLY TRAINED IN SECURITY. I’m sick of doing receptionist work when I signed up to be a real security guard. Securitas didn’t even give a shit to tell me what site they’d place my ass at. I’ve literally been trying to find another job for 8 MONTHS I’m 19 and I need more money and more hours than only 16 a week. Securitas and Allied Universal management are shit. They literally will never answer any phone calls and never reply to you anyhow. If you have like a legitimate family emergency or whatever good luck trying to to get ahold of them. I was considering working security at a hospital because at least it’s more productive than sitting in a shitty uncomfortable old chair for 8 hours and it’s a REAL SECURITY JOB. Nonsense!
I'm happy with my AU job. Then again, I'm a lazy bastard who loves doing nothing. I sit in a parking lot all day in a security car wasting up gas I don't have to pay for! Most of my buddies bust their butts flipping burgers and make even less than I do.
You have to strive for better. That job is so easy that you can get comfortable for decades. But, if your fine with that, and don’t want better for yourself… then hey.. cheers lmao
@@jaysonfigueroa6075 don’t make the same mistake I did. I started when I was 20 and stayed until I was 28. Luckily I had a buddy who pulled some strings to get me in the engineering field, now making 45 an hour.

I used to work at a chase bank for $20 an hour for a little over a year. It’s was 9 hours of standing and 30 minutes of lunch break. It was alright but money wasn’t enough so I found a bs company at a bs post for $15 an hour and a flat rate where I can sleep, watch movies, eat anything at anytime, patrol (IF I wanted to). To be honest I couldn’t be more happier that I now found my dream job
I worked for Vinson Guard in New Orleans as the Jefferson Parish Supervisor. Loved the job, loved my offciers, everyone did such a great job and my clients loved me. Allied bought them, everything went to shit. I was told constantly that I didnt know what I was doing because Allied didnt do things the way the contract was structured. They started switching my officers around for no reason, kept messing with the schedules and payrolls for no reason, i was almost always on posts, but I had to still do my duties somehow. Kept hearing shit about that. The last straw with me was wanting to be promoted and they told me "No. You're too good at your job and we need you where you are." Even though I was told that I wasn't "up to standard". So they had me train the person for the promotion I wanted and stopped answering my phonecalls in the same 2 days. I threw my uniform, phone, and laptop on my desk and told them I wasnt comming back. Guy I trained called me and told me he was also leaving and that I was right in calling it a circus. I was hoping it was only that office, but now Im doubting it.
I just recently quit this company earlier this week, I'm in the New Jersey area. This is one of those companies who pretends to give a damn about their employees until they are tested. You can go above and beyond for them and they won't care, and management will treat you like your expendable because they have such a high turnover rate. Can't say I've ever had to deal with this type of situation in terms of location, but I had to deal with horrible management. My former boss literally threw me under the bus to save himself after I was lied on by an employee where I worked at. He tried to send me somewhere else with lesser pay in an even worst location. I gave it a week and immediately quit once I realized just how horrible the rumors about this company was. I have been working security for over 9 years now, and Allied Universal is definitely one of the worst security companies I have ever worked for. And I will say, quitting this job has had me feeling far less stressed than I've ever felt.
As an account manager for AUS, I have one of the lowest turnover rates in the region because I treat my team fairly and faithfully. I think AUS gets a bad wrap sometimes, but the problem usually lies with the specific manager. In general I find AUS to be a great company, but there are a lot of poor managers out there that can really suck the life out of some really great employees. However, as a manager, it is our job to get the site covered one way or another, and that requires us to ask more of our employees sometimes. When they help out, a solid manager will reward them. It's the shitty managers that take but never give back that ruins it for everyone.
It's common for American workers to provide their employers with two weeks' notice before quitting a job, so many people believe that doing so is legally required. It's not. No state or federal law requires you to notify your boss two weeks before leaving your job
I think it sucks they want the courtesy of a 2 week notice to find time to replace you... yet u don't get a 2 week notice of being let go with the courtesy to be able to search for new employment
I feel you man. I worked with that company a few years back. Everything you talked about is true. They overworked us because another company was replacing Allied at our site. OP Manager at the time sent an email saying we couldn’t call off during the two week period of the company transition (I’m pretty sure that’s illegal). Still got the email too.
Yeah that is illegal. They can fire people for abusing the call out policy but they can’t threaten it during a timeframe because of their lack in supplying adequate staffing
The 20/10/5 got me! You get 20 min break for lunch, a 10 and 5 min break (35 min for entire 8 hour shift. Then you must get permission to go on these breaks as well as to the bathroom and you cannot leave until next shift arrives or manager releases you. There needs to be a pay upgrade and treat people like adults and give adequate breaks. Wasn’t worth it for me.
No...... just moronic people need to use their heads and not even think about working at these lame institutions, remember they won't change or thnk about it until they lose bodies to cover their minimum wage posts.
Yeah I wish we had breaks, I got in trouble once for taking a break cause I didn't have the phone on me while I was eating out by the trashcan outside because there were to many bugs inside haha and I missed a call from the field supervisor who only called or came by once every couple months
Depending on the site, the city/state and the rate of pay. ANY job can be hell. I currently work for allied and my job is sweet....It's unfortunate that this has happened to you and hope that you've moved on to do what you love and are much happier now
@@EddieLeal I was a full-time officer working in a public assistance building. Now I'm an armed officer. Been with the company 10yrs straight come January, No issues at all
Yeah i Feel like people have mixed feelings about it. Honestly it's just how you take. One thing is you're literally getting paid above minimum wage, what's there more to complain about ? 🤦
Parts of security are boring, but vital. Security really is important and should not be downplayed. I'm sorry your working under those conditions. Allied should be doing more to make your environment better and most certainly not screwing its employees with the shifts. Many security companies understand if you bring in reading material and/or listen to music etc. They understand that this will actually help you to be more alert and focused on the job.
Yeah no I'm not in agreement here. Most security post are just glorified secretaries. Just buzzing people in, accepting mail and packages, answering the phones, and just relaying information to the building manager. It's just a 24/7 on post secretary at that sites I was at.
@@LoversAnonymousMusic A secretary that will be beaten to death or shot immediately by any intruder looking to rob a place. At least an officer of the law can shoot back and get backup quickly. If attacked, a security guard is pretty much on his own. This happens often. Just because a job is not exceedingly difficult does not mean it is not dangerous. Three of my friends have been killed while working as guards in the last two years.
@IV Von El If you said that to any of my co-workers. That would most likely get you punched in the face. I work in Healthcare Security for Allied Universal. The shit we go through and to see you bitch about it, it's really frustrating. I do think that security guards should be more privileged in terms of using force. Security is really important, don't down play it just because you are mad at a company. It's also all in the site you are at. If you want something exciting do security at a hospital, hotel, a mall, a factory or even Airport. Honestly I refuse to do security that involves sitting in a guard box all day.
This makes me feel glad about the Security Company I work for because I was going to pick Allied Universal until 2 of my friends told me about their experience with them and I was like nope I am going with this other one and it was a great decision.
I will take my $1100 to $1500 weekly pay after taxes beats what a lot of other jobs are paying. I am lame no wife, girlfriend or kids so I will work show me the money.
Working "3rd party" security you will run from one company to another. Favoritism, Drama, Politics. You are a warm body & easily replaceable. The insurance sucks. No communication. A revolving door, people continously coming & going. Apply for "In-House" security jobs. You work directly with a company & receive better pay/benefits. You feel valued & part of a team Being a security guard is great, especially if you like to read & watch movies. But later down the road you're going to realize you had way more skills to offer & could have achieved higher career goals.
There goal is to treat you like crap, degrade you, lower your self-confidence etc... so you you get stuck... if you are the type to even apply its likely to work...
There goal is to treat you like crap, degrade you, lower your self-confidence etc... so you you get stuck... if you are the type to even apply its likely to work...
I worked for Allied when they were still Allied Barton before they merged with Universal. Waaay back when. Now there’s a massive lawsuit for anyone on Allied payroll between certain dates bc the company failed to pay proper overtime, breaks, hours etc….and the lawsuit was won so if you’re in that specific date range you’re automatically enrolled to receive a portion of the massive sum of money Allied is now legally obligated to pay back. No steps necessary to take; just wait for the check to arrive. Hopefully you’re involved in it & got the same letter I did informing me I did not need to take any further steps unless I decided to withdraw my name from list of qualified ex-employees.
That's huge! Thank you for the information. Yeah I'm certain they were doing some illegal stuff still after the full merger cause I didn't start until a couple years into the allied universal name change...I didn't get breaks and they had me work a 32 hour shift but I had to "give back" my hours so other employees had to work 16 hour shifts because they were sick or why ever they missed the shifts I was forced to cover.
Oh actually the reason the employees missed the shifts was because the field supervisor messed up the schedule for 2 and the other was sick or her kid was sick.
Also what were those date ranges? If you have em. I'd love to throw that into a follow up video. I was wanting to repost my video I made on my last day with some new information like that. I took it down because I was being harassed by the client manager but then I was getting to much feed back. I live in my van but once I get back to my desktop computer at my mom's place in the next 2-3 months I'd like to repost that with some follow up.
That’s hilarious that I find this. I applied for Allied Universal because they seemed to offer more pay than most security companies. They haven’t gotten back to me at all. They don’t seem to take things seriously. Haven’t even gotten a rejection response. Nothing. I took a position from Securitas who responded IMMEDIATELY and hired me quick. They are about it. They are on it. Securitas offered $2 an hour less but at least I know exactly what I’m getting from a good well know company.
YEah 100% you got lucky with them not responding, the hiring process took nearly a month for me anyways and I regretted it less than a month into working. They wouldn't have paid you what they were advertising anyways...and possibly wouldn't pay you your full paycheck most weeks anyways...YOU DODGED A BULLET. haha
Also I was supposed to get 15/hr but I was only getting 13 and I was told many time potential for a raise, but even when i went from a third shift S/O to another sites supervisor I was kept at the same pay with way more duties and responsibilities...It was a total bate and switch
Security is a hard Job, I worked hospital security on the combative patient response “team.” Not much of a team when your the only guard on shift, unarmed and you physically intervening with drunks, combative patients, psychiatric patients. I left the security industry and became a machinist
I know that all to well. I worked in the hospital too. They treat us security folks like a punching bag and you have to deal with bs folks and shit. Shut job working security in hospitals especially.
This is security for ya. There just isn't much one can do in that position other than watch and report. Most of the time in most post nothing ever happens. Those who might want to take it a step up and actually get a little hands-on and active need to look at Public Safety Officer jobs. It is basically security with Peace officer abilities. Not Police officer abilities but Peace officer abilities. Detain and arrest on post property. This would be at hospitals, colleges, and universities. So a lot more going on and a lot more they expect you to do as far as patrol inside and out, including writing tickets and taking accident reports on the property. Maybe some bigger properties with a lot more safety concerns probably hire the same thing. I think the huge mall up in Michigan hires something like this. PSO vs Security Officer is night and day. Also with PSO, you can get a spot that is armed as well. There are unarmed positions in PSO but since it is more hands-on and active with people I would feel more comfortable armed. But it all depends on why they require unarmed such as maybe you would be in the hospital wing for the psych ward or something like that.
Yup. Ive been almost assaulted but never got in a fight in the last 20 years of security. No injury or called into court to testify on an incident i was involved in. My coworker was summoned to court once for a drg addict he found in a parking garage. He told the guy to wait for the police.. He told me it was a big hassle, he should have just told the guy to leave and do his drgs somewhere else. lol
I work for the same company in California..started with a shady site supervisor who loved to hire friends and relatives and obviously treated them differently...now we have a great site supervisor who does their job and fair...getting much better pay now thank god...been with allied over three years now...
Security was the absolute worst. Did that garbage for a coal company for a couple of years, would have to drive over an hour to get on these remote-ass mountain sites then sit there staring at computer screens all night. Once I finally got promoted, I was basically the dude that sat in the main office and weighed trucks all night, and was basically the "manager" of all these guys all over the county, so if someone called in I was left scrambling from my damned post I was working to find replacements. Once I started getting to those 80-hour weeks from filling in on my off days, I just got soooo angry about it that I just stayed in the bed one day and never answered the phone. I never recommend leaving a job like that, but the way they treated me made it feel soooooo damned good. It was like finally getting to ghost them after they would ghost me on those shitty nights of trying to get help from higher-ups.
In California it's called comping hours. If you're scheduled for it and you got overtime, they can't take scheduled hours so you don't go over. More than 8 hours in a day is over overtime, and any hours past 12 is double time regardless of how many hours worked in a week. If they don't pay you the correct amount you can sue and report them to the CA department of labor for 3× the amount owed and you will win if you have proof of wages owed like hours worked. The company gets fined by the state. California does a lot wrong, but this is where they get it right. Know your labor laws.
Add in sending a copy of the verdict from the Labor Commission ( if in your favor) along with a completed complaint form to BSIS against the employer......
nope stay in trucking hahahaha please go drive for walmart they make 6 figures and dont have to unload. walmart trucking right now is the golden time. heck all walmart is the golden time the store managers are taken home 1/2 a mil....just saying being a trucker you'll be able to tolerate those 16...to maybe 24-32 hour shifts which I'm pretty sure is illegal, but if you don't have a relief and you have to be back in 4-5 hours anyways...hope the best but trucking is what i am considering right now because walmart is paying so good.
Try working 16 hour shift for over 10yrs straight... yup that was me... nursing left got my own Trucking company. Now heading into armed security. Learning the ropes so I can open my own.
I worked for this company for 5 years and near the end they were giving me different promotions just to get me to stay longer! The understaffing is unimaginable!
haha yeah they couldn't afford to lose you. did you feel like they took care of you for being a good employee cause the census I'm hearing is feeling taken advantage of and being underpaid
This totally resonated with me. I used to work for multiple security companies in residential areas (security concierge). The amount of disrespect I got and the tasks i got as a site supervisor was not worth the pay. Everyday there’s something new and I always have to generate an incident report. Now I work in property management, i try to be more understanding with my security associates. Although, I can’t help them with their pay increase (board didn’t approve). I try to make their experience better by letting them know I appreciate them like grabbing them coffee and snacks.
If you are an hourly employee they HAVE to pay you overtime no matter what. Never go salaried for this type of job. Call the health department and report the conditions.
No they don’t pay anyone salary outside of the main office. That I know of. They would make me give my days back so if I worked 32 hours straight I’d be off a day, work another 8 hour shift then I’d be off for 4 days in a row because they would NOT allow over time…so then the site manager would have to work out of his shifts to make sure other shifts were covered and the regular employees would get to work basically all the good shifts the 9-5’s
I was terminated grom Allied back in June this year fron an armed security post. I never missed a single day and never late and worked a bunch of overtime. Then we got guy moved to our post since his was shut down. I once told him he didnt have to oark the security car in the dirt lot but rather the oaved lot. The next week he was parked in the dirt again and all i said was "I see you parked in the dirt again". That was enough fornhim to have a narcissistic meltdown. He threatened to beat my butt and called me a racist name. He kept escalating while i remained 100% calm and unfazed which made him even more mad. When he threatened me all i said in a calm manner was "try it and see what happens". He eventually went home. I did an incident report on it. Then 2 nights later i get a message not to come to work as i was suspended. Im like WTF am i suspended for. This POS flipped the script and told them i did the very things thag he actually did to me. Textbook example of narcissism right there. We both got suspended and terminated when it should've been only him had he taken accountability. No witnesses, no video, just hearsay. Me and my attorney are working on a wrongful termination suit against Allied.
I will put it this way after I walked away from Allied Universal Security it was the best decision 👌 I've ever made in my career of 32 years in the Security Protective industry when I turned 18 in 1991 out of high school! Great video I'm now a new subscriber!! 👍
Thank you. Yeah I used to believe this industry was solid all the way around but it’s definitely been on the decline especially with all the mergers…allied universal being the worst offender I’ve known of in the industry.
crappy jobs suck. I was on a job for a call center. Worst job ever. Man i hated it. I planned out to the minute 6 months. I prayed and strived to make it 6 months. I knew I would get unemployment if i did this. Sure enough! I got fired 7 months into it. Calling for sales appointments were terrible. I was just desperate for a job. Hated it.
I've been in the industry 10 years - every company was understaffed and every man unappreciated. I think they limit staff on purpose. In the UK its becoming on par with cleaners, they also are merging cleaning with security. Big companies get large contracts due to low cost and maybe sending a attractive female 'closer'. Guards always treated like oil rather than cogs. I've learned its not a 'career' industry its just a job. I've never been late in my first 5 months of a new company, manager calls every week to cover due to bad recruitment.
Yeah it used to be a career industry and if you're in the private security field it still is, but the careers careers in security aren't at the guard level. It's a corporate field and basically the only way to make money and not be overworked and taken advantage of is to being in office for the security companies. The pay gap is crazy especially the bonuses and expenses they get paid for while they're paying 11/hr to most of their employees. Walmart pays better than most security companies and sites in the US.
I worked for this company when it was still Allied Barton. In the span of a little more than two years I went from an Officer to a Sergeant and finally to Lieutenant. Yes, the pay was ridiculously low and there was a lot of bullshit to endure, but I wouldn't trade those days for anything. I worked first shift at a very high-end outdoor retail village in North Carolina and it was beautiful. Our site required us in full police uniform and that meant a real badge, duty belt, cuffs, OC, the whole nine yards. I took pride in my look and I was always crisp and sharp. I had a killer tan (on all the exposed areas) and was in great physical shape. My Captain was a champion douche nozzle and I endured some of the worst treatment of any employment I can remember under him, but I still look past all that and remember how it felt to suit up every day, put my Oakley's on and stick my chest out.
yeah i was a sergeant and was only making 13/hr and the best paying ones i knew of were 15-18/hr...my captain/lieutenant was maybe making 15.....also i guess i'm never going to have as fond of a memory on my time in security because I literally only worked it during 2020 so it was literally just security at the buildings we were securing haha
Allied goes out of their way to show you they don't give a crap about you. That is for sure. I worked for G4S which wasn't much better. But Allied bought them out and the first day they took over I finished my shift and never went back. I'll never work for those people.
@@LoversAnonymousMusic That they wanted to work us all 12 hours a day 7 days a week. And pretty much said if you don't like it then leave. 🤷 So I did. How this company managed to buy out one of the oldest security companies in the US is a mystery to me.
I heard 80% of the G4S office staff quit on the day the merger was official.. Caused a lot of chaos for 2 weeks. G4S payrolls and work schedules were messed up.
I feel bad for you man. I've been a police officer private investigator loss prevention manager I've owned several security companies etc etc and I can tell you the big fail in the industry is how they treat their own staff. Most uniform security companies especially are notorious for working a guy to the point he's nuts and not wanting to compensate them for the time they work or the distance they travel in their own cars making them buy uniforms Etc I have never done that to any of my employees most of my employees stayed with me at least four years and most of them ended up being police officers thanks to the Stellar training I spent a lot of time providing. This kind of company issue is what gives security companies and the officers a bad rep. What's kind of funny is Allied is one of the largest security companies in the world because they bought out a bunch of companies but unfortunately that overgrowth has caused problems for them and they have not adjusted for the industry change they have in made things work correctly. A few years ago I had applied for them and they were so interested in hiring me and having me become a training kind of sop developer guy and I guarantee you I would have made a world of difference for that company if they would have been willing to listen the funny part is is their higher-ups refused to interview me despite all the HR and everyone else's efforts to get me in there. The hiring recruiting department told me that this is a big problem for them and that they have a hard time getting good people because of the organizational fails
Personally, I love the site I’m at right now. I’m surrounded by people I respect and enjoy working with. It would be perfect if AUS wasn’t screwing me over with my paycheck, it isn’t uncommon to have between 16 to 24 hours missing from my paycheck on a weekly basis. I’m starting to suspect that it’s intentional.
It definitely depends on the site. There are plenty of sites in Richmond that are happy but the Allied as a whole in Richmond Va there’s more horror stories that successes. Also yeah they’re the worst about screwing you on your checks…I’ve worked for a lot of places and never had so many mess ups….and the pain staking tasks of getting someone to fix it…like hey you can’t just jip me one or two days every month and not expect me to notice…you’d think for a billion dollar organization they’d have their stuff together at least somewhat on the administrative side
Ughhh 🤦🏾♀️ to accurate I always say this ! It’s a whole universal ran company lol I’d hate them if I wasn’t placed at a corporate business at night it’s just me working here 12 hours a night so I like that but the client manager this guy is retarded and non existent to get in touch with if it’s a big emergency 🚨 and his supervisors are trash also! Anyways gods leads me not this company or facility ❤
When I did security it was amazing the mobile guy was never called if I missed an hourly call in. I could have been dead. No calls from the office ever. Didn't care for safety of staff. training was a joke. No one checked and maintained the first aid equipment(two task job). The supervisor changed the reason for leaving. Pathetic.
NEVER stay long term in security. Allied, Marksman, even G4s when they existed in the states…all dead end jobs with crap pay and high chance of losing the client contract
Sounds like another day at Allies, I dont know how many times supervisors told me they wish they never took the promotion. I made more than them with just a few days OT and no drama.
I worked on Security at a mine operation in Canada for 2 summers at $ 10.00 bucks an hour. Then they offered me $ 30,000 a year to stay with them in 1982. 30,000. 41 years ago is about 84,169.61 with the Canadian inflation Calculator. The pay and frustration of security jobs is maddening. I went back to school and worked 25 years Psychiatric for the Government and started at $ 25,000 and went to $ 50,000. with 3 months off with pay every year. Man those 3 month vacations really help you keep my sanity. lol Almost forgot they gave me ?? $ 250,000 when they downsized the facility in 2008. So, now in retirement I finally get to write script for a charity which will be for the SPCA cause I love those dogs and cats.
Yeah we should of been allowed to stack OT then it probably would of been a problem but when they're making me work 32 hours straight and then I don't get OT because they fill the rest of my shifts with the people who missed their shifts which is what made me work so much...it was a region's rules and they screwed us with it
@@LoversAnonymousMusic that’s shitty. So they basically had you work 16s and then you had the rest of the week off? In my state, anything over 8 hours between 0001-2359 is time and a half, anything over 12 is double.
I work 4 days 12 hour shifts. Then i just ask for OT. They give me OT maybe 80% of the time. Sometimes i get a few weeks where the field supervisor doesn't call me in for extra work. happens every few months.
The employees not following simple policies (not displaying their badge, not swiping badge on card readers, and sneaking non employees in the building) is what irritates me the most. THE WORST THING OF ALL IS WHEN THE EMPLOYEES THINK THEY ARE BETTER THAN SECURITY. YOU CAN SEE IT IN THEIR SHITTY CONDESCENDING ATTITUDE😡.
Bloody right. A warehouse company staff treated us like crp. Glad we lost the contract. I heard they had to hire more staff for the work i used to do for them at the truck gate. lol Going inhouse means you have HR to complain to. They complained the truck gate job was too hard for one person. lol I was doing that job for years in 115 degree heat.
@@CHEESEBURGER_YT Depends of the reason for termination, sometimes the person who was fired may be in the right! It happened to me, in TX, I did get unemployment, and it was Federal Security work!
I'll go against the grain here and say I love Allied. The supervisors are friendly and so are most of the guards, I can pick and choose which shifts or posts I want when I want them, I get time off whenever I request it and even though I got hired full time, I work part time and still get the same benefits. The managers are awesome and make sure we are all taken care of. We are contracted thru the county armed, and some of the posts are actually pretty fun (to me at least). Pay is good and we are getting a raise. I probably lucked out and found the best Allied office in the US lol.
I used to work for Allied Universal, management is recruited from the gutter. I now do in-house security for the Trump organization and never under any circumstances are guards coerced into doing doubles or triples. Find in-house jobs, contract security is mostly a disgrace.
@@marka.arcenas5211 I got my job because my friend told me about it, he did security there before me while I was working with Allied. Then one day I got sick of the management, the pay, not enough hours, so I just called the place and told them I knew him and I came in for an interview a few days later and by the following week I was a fill-in. Now I have full-time. Just gotta look around
The part I don't like is they tell u they need help but won't let u go past 40 hours per week...Lee Deuce former Baltimore stripper aka Jack the stripper.
I worked varies security companies. They try to work the secirity guards way over to many hours 12 hour shifts. And then if someone calls in sick it may be a while before you get relieved, worst there is no relief and you end up working another shift. And you can not leave unless relieved. And it is usually the younger guards that call in sick.
Yeah, i work only certain special coverages. Once this warehouse fired an employee and that employee made threats. So they had us on post with armed security. We were supposed to cover from Friday, then monday to Thursday. I worked Friday and monday. Then the coverage was cancelled. I asked why and they said the employees complained about me looking too scary in my outer armor and duty belt. LMAO I told my boss i'm not interested in covering for that client again since they caused my paycheck to be very low for that week. They can find someone else.
I definitely understand man, I work two sometimes three security jobs and barley have my weekends off I’m pulling 160 hours a week not every two weeks A WEEK! just to make ends meet and I’m ARMED! I’ve been doing security for atleast 10 years and believe me it’s getting old. Like you I’ve been at sites like that one and I just try to take certifications and get more game under my belt So I can keep a steady income flow. I also thought about van/truck life. We as security get treated like we ain’t sh*t and we’re expendable it’s nonsense smh i hope it gets better for you man, I hope you can be your own boss and use this security lifestyle as a step towards your next direction in being relieved of this stress. Hint I’m on post now looking up RUclips videos about how to do something else lol came across your video feeling like how I feel 😅
you're a crazy man haha at most i did a 74 hour week and I thought i was going to die haha you should live in a van cause it sounds like you're never home...yeahi hate feeling expendable, the security industry is a tough one to feel valued in because you're just a body and can be replaced but it leads to people caring less and less about their jobs...I'm considering getting my cdl right now haha or joining the airforce. i just wanna travel haha
Same For Me, I Work At A Hospital As A Security Officer. Our Office Has Pests And Mold... Everyone Got Moved From The Building Except For The Security Office... Is Like They Don't Care About Our Health But Need Us To Protect Them... I've Been Feeling Unvalued And Other Officers Too...
yeah security was the only one in the building back during the start of covid and you could tell they building health wise was getting worse....but your situation sounds crazy with it being a medical place not having good health standards
I've been doing security since 18 im 24 now and its pretty bad beside a few good sites in nyc but now I'm in philly and the sites here are terrible. There always under staffed and usually have to do doubles i worked for Allied for the majority of these last 5 years but now I'm working with another smaller security company they pay me $17 an hour but i do have to do doubles sometimes and the clients can be a bit rude and condensing but let it go since its overnight i don't see much people. i see about 1.1k every 2 weeks sometimes more if i do more overtime sometimes its in the day which is difficult because I'm working overnight so its sleep and come right back to work I don't wanna keep doing i would like to transition to something else but i don't know what i feel stuck here.
yeah get out while you can. it feels like the whole industry is on a downslope at least for the quality of the work environment....having to work doubles in such a boring job is terrible and especially when it's because you're short staffed
Allied Universal doesn’t care or Securtas is the same way! Security will never change under pay over work you on hours! They don’t have to fix it unless staff doesn’t take a stand! In IL there is no labor laws against them doing this to people! I have worked 20 years in Security industry as a security officer to an armed guard!

I spent close to 9 yrs in the Security Guard industry. Granted I never worked for Allied Universal, but I heard of them and all the nightmare stories that followed. One thing was true amongst the 3 employers I had. 1 being contract and 2 being In-house Security. There was always a staff shortage and when we were fully staffed, people were still calling out every week. I mean one must hate their job that MUCH to shorten ones paycheck by $100 to $150 on a consistent basis.
Hey man any updates? I see this was 7 months ago and I'm currently working for allied myself starting to feel like I could do more with my life besides sitting in an office all day I mean getting paid to play on your phone is nice but it's starting to hit in a negative way.
Sitting at my graveyard post right now. I have to watch this open door so no homeless people get in. It has to be open because construction workers are bringing in supplies/working. Literally staring at this door for 8 hours. I will be at this post for 2 more weeks. Just staring. $14 an hour, go me. 🤦♂️
I’ve worked for AUS since 2016 in two different states. The company is very top heavy. What kept me at the site in North Carolina was a good relationship with local management and employees. We all disliked the client, and thought corporate sucked, but we were like a tight knit family, and went through the bulls%^*t together. If the office walls had been miked, we would’ve all been fired. At my post in Florida now, the situation is inverted; I love the clients I serve. Whenever this gig ends, these people will always be my friends. What hasn’t changed, is corporate still sucks.
I don't think you want to work for this company find small mom and pop companies. there are still independent companies from securitas and allied it'll just take a good search. you may need to get a new security license which is just 2 day class that cost like $90-120. I do not recommend working security in the US though it is a problematic industry here
Yeah security is easy as fuck most of the time, but can also be really shitty. I lucked out in working a site that only has me as a guard. I make $17/hr, unarmed, at a Dillard’s. Just started working for Allied yesterday. Not my first security job. They actually had 4 guards quite the site because you have to walk around all day. But like that’s nothing to me, the site is calm, the staff is great, and I get my steps in every day. Clocked 10.5 miles yesterday. The problem is guards expect to sit around all day, but it’s really site dependent on what they want you to do. Easiest site I’ve worked. I’m not defending Allied here, all I’ve heard are horror stories, but it’s not all bad, just depends on the contract and who you work with.
Oh it always depends on the people, the management and the sites but yeah my experience was a horror story and Richmond Virginia Allied Universal needs an entire overhaul of the management staff over the area.
That’s life brother.. it’s like that everywhere. It used to piss me off when people would tell me those exact words. But then I slowly but surely realized they’re right.

Especially if the client loves to complain about you and other guards trying to get you into trouble.. I was on a post like that and i covered my behind with detailed reports of where i was and who i talked to. Sure it was 2 to 3 pages but it kept me out of trouble.
By what you said, it's really not Allied Security that sucks, but that post you worked on in particular. I currently work for Allied Universal and my post, the hourly pay and the higher-ups respectful relationship towards me are by far the very best. I wish you the very best in your endeavors bro.
Oh it’s definitely a case by case scenario, but overall in my area I was in needs a change. The client manager was one of my best friends and even when begging for his help he just took advantage of me. The field supervisors never came by or did anything and neither did my “friend” the client manager. The client manager even before the pandemic worked from home almost everyday unless he had to go in if Steve Jones was in town or there were clients to meet. They higher ups where i was ever though I used to care about the client manager I hope everyone of them gets fired
Every area may be different but that wasn't a thing for us. We couldn't get people at the site I was at no one could just change sites or every site I knew was struggling and the people weren't able to change sites they had to changed security companies
It depends on the location. Even though I think AU is not a good company, there are still good jobs inside the company. I wouldn't accept anything under 18/hr though because its not worth the stress and craziness...and you can work for walmart 3rd shift for almost that much now with a thousand times better benefits...I mean I'm never going back to working for a company that doesn't give paid time off
Been with allied for about a year now, actually at work right now. Hate to hear about bad experiences with the company. I think its really site dependent, like where im at is basically a closed site in the middle of a suburb area. Its suuuper relaxed and the client is pretty good. My managers have been good so far too thankfully. Honestly one of the better jobs ive ever had.
I work for this company and it’s been the easiest job iv ever had lol I work graveyard at a mall and it’s literally CAKE! Idgaf that the mall is gross or there roaches or rats. Not my job to care about that shit. All I have to do is walk around the mall and kick homeless people out of the parking lot. So damn easy. This dude over here complaining about flies 😂 if it’s easy and you hate it so much then go to a different location it’s so simple.
Yeah it wasn't as simple as that, and the fruit flies were so bad they flew into my ear and and gave me an ear infection where I couldn't sleep for a week because of the pain. Good for you for being able to put up with an unsanitary work environment, but I rather work a harder job for less hostile and cleaner settings.
I worked for Universal Protection Services before the merger, before they became Allied Universal. It's been bad and from what I keep on hearing, it became even worse since back then.
@@aspectiskey you too, just for reference. I make 50k working Walmart and I get a bonus (3-6k) so for real there are massive opportunities at Walmart over security and I only work 4 days/week. 10 hour days though
Contract security is very different than private security. For example, working at a museum of choice or at the zoo is a lot better than working for Securitas, Allied, Classic, Wells Fargo, etc. Apply to work at a local museum. You will get city benefits, 401(k) and most likely a pension after 5 or more years of service.
basically working for any soulless corporation is a bad thing and Allied being the 3rd largest employer behind walmart and amazon...if you can work local or private sector in any industry you should. It always less of a headache.
@@LoversAnonymousMusic : I know that most museums require the F0-3 license. I will work on getting the F0-3 to slightly boost my resume. I have the F0-1. I really hate doubles. I have to work a double for the next three days with 3 hours of sleep in between. We are very short-staffed at the job site. One of my coworkers and I decided to pick up extra hours for another coworker on vacation. He is expected to return from his trip to Spain on Monday. I cannot wait to go back on my regular 40-hour schedule! I live in Brooklyn and the job site is located in Long Island City Queens. It's a long, boring, stressful subway ride. I hate what the MTA has become. The MTA needs a clean up from the top guy to the garbage personnel. It should take me no more than 90 minutes from Brooklyn to Queens not 2 hours (more than 2 hours on the weekend, especially holiday weekends). The MTA is not going our way as their stupid logo displays. Back in my college days, I never saw myself working as a security guard. In addition to graduating from 2 CUNY colleges, I also served TWICE in the Navy. It's not what we know but who we know that counts. Anyway, gotta get ready to take that long subway ride (3 trains) to Queens.
Security job can be very stressful you can be working for sixteen hours and still no relief and some company pays little next to nothing can the government intervene.
That bridge is scorched and destroyed fully. Anyone with the audacity to work an employee a 32 hour shift or consistently schedule them with back to back 16 hour shifts can go to hell. Also the entire security industry is broken. I'll never work in security again unless the entire industry has an overhaul...also another reason the industry is broke. You say it's great for when you get older yeah because security officers don't do anything. It's an entire industry based on a facade of security. 90 percent of security is fake just a glorified secretary that you have to pay for a license to do except secretaries get paid more or the equivalence too but they don't have to pay for a pointless license.
By the look on your face of the start of the video. I already knew where you were at mentally. I work two jobs. Been doing so for a few years. Both security. I have reached my breaking point. And I will make a exit if I can't deal anymore.
They are currently trying to hire me away from my current job. I work weekdays, 4 days a week, no nights and live 13 minutes away. My only issue is low pay and no PTO. I doubt allied is any better
It's not worth it if the pay is to little. I recommend walmart now. I mean I used to hate corporations but now after doing security there are bad corporations and meh corporations. Walmart gives time off when you ask for it, pto and ptto, and raises. Didn't get a single raise with allied and no one on my 2 sites did either over my year working for em. A year at walmart you'll get at least a quarter raise and have over 100hrs of pto/ptto combined. Oh also the health insurance is better....uh just I wouldn't recommend security unless the pay is over 15 and it was an incredibly laid back site
I dont blame you for quitting. What I do blame is the client site. Considering how unsanitary it is, thats more of a client problem than an Allied Problem.
Oh yeah, that's why I called out the site's proper manager in the video...he did see the problem the 2 days per week he would come in for 2 hours. They had a daily cleaning crew for the building but couldn't afford an exterminator
I reported dirty air vents once and the client got upset with me. lol Usually they want us to report unsanitary problems but i guess that client didn't like it.
I'm so happy 4 u.. I've quite so many security jobs due to so many unhealthy and un happy reasons too. So good 4 u ! only good thing about security is - is that they r always hiring
I’m a 29 year old man who’s had multiple jobs, different trades and now doing security as I’m moving to armed. Learned a lot of industries and picked up some knowledge . I’m in pursue to goals in aviation . One thing I learned is that you’re replaceable. There is opportunity anywhere. Before accepting an employment run a background check and keep your standards reasonable when it comes to pay. It may not make sense you made a transition after 3 months if you found out it was not a fit.,… it’s better than being in a job you disliked and tolerated for years…. The obvious is obvious things will change if you’re married or have kids as towards being single and taking risk to build a foundation. The easiest job as security was to close a gate. Sit in my car or walk around the premises, open gate and go home. Also wasn’t the easiest when it came to payout but always keep your options open, most of the time your personality will determine the field of trade that best fits you Best of wishes

I guess it is like that every were. When I was at Allied University they were always under staff, even for four months, I lost a lot of years of my life.
that's the census in the comments with about 200+ comments just talking about being understaffed. glad I only lost a year of my life and not any more to this
I was stressed out and I'm trying to be happier...I just want to be done with this company but 2 and a half years later I'm still trying to settle things. That's how terrible this company is. Oh and the 178 million dollar clash action lawsuit they lost while this was going on.
Oh man I can see it in your eyes the frustration and how fed up you are. I also see it with my current supervisor which in turn asked me if I want to be in that position. I have leadership skills for sure but when I saw the responsibilities that is at stake just for two dollars more? I’m starting to believe those two dollars isn’t worth my mental health. Idk I will try for least 6 months or so… but if I continue not having good days I will definitely back up and let someone else do it. I was loving it when I was patrol. I may stick to just that!
$2 isn't enough of a raise! I work for walmart now and I was making 35k but I became a manager recently and my pay almost doubled. I went from 15/hr to 22/hr and sadly I still barely feel like it is worth the raise. I feel like $5 minimum to take any extra responsibilities should be a standard...They didn't even give me a raise at Allied I was making $13 when I started and got a promotion with no raise, they told me I'd be able to get $15 but that fell through and then I quit and made this video
Dude I play this video for all the new guards who get offered the supervisor position… I tell them don’t make the mistake I made, sure middle management looks good on a résumé and who doesn’t want a couple more dollars on their paycheck? But the amount of shit you have to sip doesn’t come close to being worth the headaches that this job brings! Stay strong brother! Thanks for the video!
yeah but I didn't get a raise with my promotion hahaha this company just took advantage of me to the max haha I'm not against being in management....yes it is hard an stressful mostly because of the employees calling out and having to pick up slack where others drop the ball...BUT I work at Walmart now and Walmart management is totally worth it. Yeah still all the same woes but way more so...I manage 20-40 people a night for a store that does over a quarter billion dollar a year. It is STRESSFULL, but so much more rewarding in every way. Pay, benefits, time off, hours, and the consistency. I worked 42 shifts out of my regular schedule just in my last 2 months in security. I've only worked 2 shifts out of my schedule my last 2 months at Walmart...and that is through the holidays which were crazy but again rewarding.

All security companies are pretty much the same lol
This described every security company I've worked for since 1993. This is the nature of the business.
And it’s 2024 so time for change
Why were you working security in 1993???
Just walked away from Allied myself as an Operation Manager. They had me managing 38 plus site and over 300 Security Professional, with just 13 Site Supervisor and I was considering the Site Supervisor for the other sites. 70% of which had the same issue and site conditions. They were underpaid as well as extremely over worked. My district was short 250 plus Officers. Best of luck to you
Best of luck to you as well...its obviously a higher up problem...which is why I mention Steve Jones in most comments on this video.
I am also leaving the company however my company was very supportive of my decision and treated me excellent but I do understand the frustrations and security field

@@LoversAnonymousMusic do you mind saying what gig you are doing now?
Securitas was doing the exact same stuff. Management was terrible and easily threw us under the bus for literally everything.
I had to quit Securitas. people called off every single day causing me to split a shift with someone every day.

Nonsense!
Yup. Securitas has a terrible reputation. I'd never work for them.
I'm happy with my AU job. Then again, I'm a lazy bastard who loves doing nothing. I sit in a parking lot all day in a security car wasting up gas I don't have to pay for! Most of my buddies bust their butts flipping burgers and make even less than I do.

And I will say, quitting this job has had me feeling far less stressed than I've ever felt.
wait they at least pretended to give a damn for you? haha they didn't even pretend to give a damn in my case haha
It's common for American workers to provide their employers with two weeks' notice before quitting a job,
so many people believe that doing so is legally required. It's not.
No state or federal law requires you to notify your boss two weeks before leaving your job
True, its just a courtesy. You can quit on the spot and just walk out, its all the same.
I think it sucks they want the courtesy of a 2 week notice to find time to replace you... yet u don't get a 2 week notice of being let go with the courtesy to be able to search for new employment
Those suckers will fire in moment’s notice, they don’t care so why should we?
One week is plenty
......Sure, quit on the spot, just dont use them as a reference for another job🙄
Where I was you get none, you just can eat anytime
Always read state labor laws and your employee handbook. A 30min meal break is LAW
Yeah I wish we had breaks, I got in trouble once for taking a break cause I didn't have the phone on me while I was eating out by the trashcan outside because there were to many bugs inside haha and I missed a call from the field supervisor who only called or came by once every couple months

Mine as well go ufc bud
Sorry your experience was horrible I hope things get better for you man 🙏
In California it's called comping hours.
Add in sending a copy of the verdict from the Labor Commission ( if in your favor) along with a completed complaint form to BSIS against the employer......

nope stay in trucking hahahaha please go drive for walmart they make 6 figures and dont have to unload. walmart trucking right now is the golden time. heck all walmart is the golden time the store managers are taken home 1/2 a mil....just saying being a trucker you'll be able to tolerate those 16...to maybe 24-32 hour shifts which I'm pretty sure is illegal, but if you don't have a relief and you have to be back in 4-5 hours anyways...hope the best but trucking is what i am considering right now because walmart is paying so good.

haha yeah they couldn't afford to lose you. did you feel like they took care of you for being a good employee cause the census I'm hearing is feeling taken advantage of and being underpaid
Do you have to have a High Shool Deploma or GED to work here? Just wondering because I'm also a security officer for a different security company
I was wanting to hear more from the people from G4S that were affected by the merger/buyout. What was the biggest change when Allied took over?
Doubt if its the company screwing you but your boss who doesnt know how to keep correct time
Which Healthcare plan do you have? All their plans seem to have bad coverage.
Thank God people are speaking up I faced something similar
I used to ask for 16 hour shifts when I needed OT and it was plentiful
I probably lucked out and found the best Allied office in the US lol.
you definitely lucked out...that is definitely not normal for allied.
I used to work for Allied Universal, management is recruited from the gutter. I now do in-house security for the Trump organization and never under any circumstances are guards coerced into doing doubles or triples. Find in-house jobs, contract security is mostly a disgrace.
How can I apply for In house security do you know any contacts in northern California for me. I'd like to check out inhouse security

LMAO
I told my boss i'm not interested in covering for that client again since they caused my paycheck to be very low for that week.
Like you I’ve been at sites like that one and I just try to take certifications and get more game under my belt

The pay is getting better. I worked an armed post at $28/hr rate. but i was already in OT so it was even higher. Loved it.

I’m a site supervisor and I have never been more fucking miserable in my entire life.

Am currently working as security guard, since 2016. Now I will love do it in US, how do I go about it please put me through. I have my passport ready.

Also wasn’t the easiest when it came to payout but always keep your options open, most of the time your personality will determine the field of trade that best fits you

I guess it is like that every were. When I was at Allied University they were always under staff, even for four months, I lost a lot of years of my life.
that's the census in the comments with about 200+ comments just talking about being understaffed. glad I only lost a year of my life and not any more to this
That was smart, get out while you can.
Hope u found happiness bro u seemed stressed asf
@@LoversAnonymousMusic shit I feel you bud!
I’m just glad I’ll never have to do another DAR Again!!!
A new Lisa AI is assisting Managers manage their posts. Seems to work well.
There is always a check issue. Working 40 plus hours and getting less than the hours put in.
