- Several tips on how to be successful as a security officer or security guard, especially in periods of downtime. The first tip is to further your security training through continuing education, the second point is to be proactive rather than reactive about potential problems, and the third suggestion is to regularly check your equipment. (Please excuse the bugs in the video; it is springtime bug season.)
Always look like your awake. Especially 13 hours in to a 16 hour shift.
That’s a good tip as well!
Lol paint eyeballs on your eyelids and turn the radio all the way up. 😆😎
I love this video! You just got a new subscriber. I am in the field of armed security, I love my job.
Thank you sir. It’s great to hear some positive feedback. There are too many RUclips trolls out there who only want to post negative comments. Haha
@@dasandman14 yeah that is true to many negative people on RUclips with no positive comments or anything. Damn liberals
CLIENTS ARE ALWAYS RIGHT DO NOTHING TO PROVOKE THEM KEEP THEM FEELING SAFE.
Great video brother, always good to see a new video from you.
Mike Reed Thank you very much, Mike! I hope you had a nice Memorial Day weekend.
@@dasandman14 It was ok, hope your doing well.
Show up, shut up and do your job, that's how to be a successful security officer 👍.
Got a job interview Friday for this position, looking for tips
Always stay alert and learn as much as you can about the property you are protecting. You need to know what is normal so that you can detect anything that stands out as unusual and report it. For example, familiarize yourself with all entrances and exits so that if a door is open or broken, you can request for it to be repaired.
Kurisu ive worked as a guard , security officer , and a security professional . to me its all the same . just make sure all doors are locked , help anyone that comes in and bring an extra battery for endless hours of anime and netflix on yur tablet or laptop 😹 ohh and dont fall 😴 asleep
Good luck man! Try to further your career and continue your education
are you still working there? or did you find something better already?
This helped me a lot, thank you for posting this.
Thank you sir. I appreciate the positive feedback.
I love the work they do
Thanks for sharing 👍 Great content.
Thank you sir. I appreciate the kind words.

Thank you, Jeremy. I appreciate your kind words. Yes, we went from a Ford to a Toyota. I will try to make a video on report writing when I have time.
@@dasandman14 understood try not to be gone so long next time!
Jeremy Swan Thank you! I will try my best. I appreciate that you gave me an idea for another video.
Hey man what qualifications do you need to have to land this job
Yeah report writing should be a good class

Nice to meet you as well. Thank you for your comment.
Never let any one threaten you.
Respect man👌

Please stay safe And don't get caught And don't get angry And don't get arrested And put in jail or prison And don't get booked into jail or prison because of course that would not be a very Good thing for you to do.!'
🎉❤😮
Wait,you guys got training ?
Haha
I think you have a really good video
Thank you sir
Hey...help how can I begin this career Im interested?
@@geraldfaka5823 It depends on your state, but most states require a security license, so you would need to pay a fee, pass a background check, and maybe take a training class.
Write down new suggestions for the security company to improve various things like policies, communications, and morals with its officers. Even if upper management never acknowledges what you write down, it is better than staring at your cell phone most of your shifts or sitting on your duppas the entire shift just to get fired! Like he said: Be proactive and become a valuable asset to the company paying you $$$$$ to do so.
Great points. Policies and procedures can be improved.
can someone please explain to me what is a advanced guard and what's the duty for that role ? this all new to me
It is most likely someone with more advanced training, such as firearms.
Are you like 3 ft tall?
lol No. Why do you ask?
Been awhile since you made a video.
Security Guru! Indeed. I finally had a new idea and some time, so I decided to post a video. I try to keep them short and sweet. I hope you enjoyed it.
dasandman14 awesome. Keep up the good information.
What does Keegan basically do
Before I can like this. What state is thisofficer
Thank you for your comment. I do not share that information for privacy reasons.
@@dasandman14 nevermind. That's some nice gear. I was G4S immigration transport, and we had some good gear. I forgot what light bar system I had, but the two front flood lights were bright, and the Yellow Emergency were blinding.
@@litlnig163 Very nice. G4S seemed like a decent company. Their tan uniforms looked sharp.
@@dasandman14 oh thanks. Yeah Customs and Border Transport was grey BDUs. And Yes CPO Armed was Tan with the purple Stripe down the leg. Then some unarmed wore black pants with black stripe down the leg, white shirt.
@@litlnig163 That’s cool. I imagine the uniforms are much different now that Allied bought G4S.
Should do something about those modified cars doing donuts in the parking garage.
Are you asking how to handle those types of incidents?
I'm no longer a security guard after 6 years 😀 I'v transition to warehouse jobs and I like it its like working out and you dont have to deal with anyone
That makes sense. Security isn’t for everyone.
I'm 200ibs and im 6'0 and I've been boxing for 6 years, do you think I'd qualify
It depends on the type of training you receive. If you join a good company and get some solid training, you can be successful in the field.
@@dasandman14 yessir, I do high intensity training and alot of cardiovascular
Do something else, security sucks ass.
Why not try out a Executive Protection job then? There is a cool training ground located in San Antonio Texas. The company name is Paraclete consulting group. They train law enforcement, church security, medical, and executive protection agents
@@0Seekhim0 how did you know I lived in san Antonio lol, and yeah I ended up getting hired as a park security, from 11pm till 8am when they open, only had real trouble like 6 or 7 times
First day on the job and not a lick of training wish me luck lol
That stinks. Many security companies provide little to no training. I hope you can learn something online.
@@dasandman14 Yeah definitely sink or swim 😂 this was a help tho gets rough tryna keep occupied on nights thank ya sir
@@Infernus_Dante Good luck with your new job! I’m glad I could help you in some way.
being a security is ass, used to be one.
$13 an hour if you have your security D license in Florida if you don't they'll give you $10 an hour to stand on the 50-yard line with 3D you can stand on the field with Brady and make 13 an hour or you can stand on the 50-yard line in the stands and check people in by their shoes or their phone and make 10 an hour
You make some good points. Most security personnel are underpaid and not properly trained.
Definitely would hate to be assaulted in a dimmly lit area
Hi, what are the requirements for a security officer?
It depends on what kind of security job you work. Usually, it is just a high school diploma and maybe a driver’s license. Other sites require security experience.
Security Course in your area is your best bet, it does come with a cost.
I got the job a week ago. I went from being a regular employee to being asked take over the security position with no training.
What type of security are you doing?
@@dasandman14 an 11pm to 7am shift at a hotel.
@@-Its420Somewhere That’s neat. How is it so far?
Quiet and boring so nothing exciting as of yet.
@@-Its420Somewhere That’s not always a bad thing. Good luck with the new job!
I'm a kid but I'm watching because I want to be a security guard when I'm older

Haha why? Try be a police or fire fighter at least but security guard is a useless job.
@@deficator750 its just the beating people up for me
Security guard job can be a stepping stone to other higher career jobs.( security manager, chief security officer, correctional officer, etc)
You cant start by remembering to turn your lights off in the day time
Day time running lights dumbass
being a regelar security is ass.
