Donna led me here. The trick to memory is caring about what you want to remember.
I won't remember names of people who don't want me to remember their name. If such a person wishes to be offended by my memory.... maybe they should want to be memorable. Idols are ultimately trash.
Alcohol will actively prevent your forming false thoughts (if you're normal); source: Drunk, by Edward Slingerland.

For all my life i had a habit of eating big amounts of sweets. I have been overweight my entire life. My memory was always bad and my grades fluctuated, were bad often - although most of the teachers who knew me said I was intelligent. later when I got the chance to study, I failed. I know this might sound stupid, but why didn't anyone tell me that as a kid? My whole life is ruined and I'm pretty sure sugar played a considerable role.

Hello Ronnie, I'm really glad and thankful that I found your channel. These are really amazing tips. But sometimes I face problem with my studying. I have a lot of subjects to study and memorise. And after a short period of time I get bored of studying, and I find myself forcing my brain to focus and study. And my desire for studying disappears after a couple of months! Can you please interpret why this is happening to me ? And is there any solution?

      1. Don't study when lying down
      2. go for a walk or run before you study to wake you up
      3. Study for 25 minutes and then take a break to stay alert

Learn how to relax. What will happen if you fail. Try not to be stressed by failure. Know that failure is a step forward to success.

Wow. Another amazing reason to get off junk food. Love this video. New fan. New subscriber. I still don't know how to apply this to memorizing steps on my new job. Will have to keep watching. New computer program to learn kicking my butt and stressing me out. 😢

Love the channel, but as a Memory athlete myself I wish people would STOP saying "MIND Palace." It's Memory Palace or Method of Loci. The only reason for saying "mind" palace is trying to capatalize off of the success of BBC Sherlock. And as a lifelong Sherlock Holmes fanatic, I resent the fad. But I digress.
