Red GNB 550 works perfectly. Running the 03 cable under the FC and up the back keeps it out of the props. Antenna's get eaten by rear props so ziptie them up.

I love my Mobula8 with O3 - I take it flying every chance. I agree with the O3 it's more suited for outdoor vs indoor. Handles moderate winds pretty well. I have several videos posted. I prefer my Meteor75 Analog for indoor.

good notes, about same conclusions i had as well. Its funny how the pavo pico seems more useful for many, but the mob8 is just so much more fun to fly..

I use an analog version, and I put a Caddx Turtle V2 DVR on it. Tattu 450 HV packs fit perfectly. Also, it flies great with Gemfan D51-5s. I agree that it's a tight build that takes a lot of patience to work on.

don't you mean 2 inch prop with 2.3 inch pitch? 2023 props I believe and I was able to fit GNB 550 no problem and get almost 4 min flight time. Awesome little drone and I love it.

    • @JonE5FPV
      @JonE5FPV  Год назад +1

ahh, yes you are correct. 2 inch 2.3 inch pitch.

I havent seen one in person yet, but a little worried about the very small 0804 motors and 40mm prop combo. The pavo pico already felt a little underpowered in certain circumstances and that one is even smaller motor/prop wise. Then again, wondering if the trade off is more flight time since motors probably using less juice, but then again maybe ends up even if you really have to push them hard due to the smaller size.

Do you know a way to get it fly longer than 1-2 minutes? I am looking for a at list 10-15 minutes solution, thanks for sharing!

Analog version flies about 7-8 mins on 450mah. After I put to the drone O3, my fly time about 3 min. Try to use 720mah, and you will get that u want

What do you think about the Pico’s 20A FC vs Mobula8’s 12? Pico’s second Gen updated to 20A from 12A. I wonder if that’s a lot better for a 2s (even if you’re not going 3S.)

  • @Crashtopher

Make sure you put some blue loctite in that screw-nut mess because those little screws WILL vibrate and come out after some crashes.

ohhhh good note. It would be, beyond terrible if one just flew off mid flight.

    A few cons:
    - O3 is working with 2S, not 1S
    - 2S is to agressive to fly at home
    - to heavy to fly at home
    - due to big weight plastic frame durability is not enough. I have 2 broken and now migrating to Draknet frame

With all due respect u should preface your comment mentioning you're a beginner because those are some charged cons. I peeked at your last video you should really spend some more time in Sims If you can. Happy flying!

The problem is when you crash, because it’s gonna happen, you will not find new frames to replace, every place is out of order…
