Beautiful editing, so glad I found this video. I've been curious about a large framed drone for a while and you answered a lot of the questions I have. Your channel will do well.
No bro, not one tuning PID doesn’t happened when you vihecle having weight 0,5kg or different 2kg, prop rotating 5inch so fast, 10inch … very different
@@popriehI see words, but you aren't saying anything. Please explain yourself. @phiveone That, combined with props that are actually factory balanced these days. Balancing props was, for a long time, absolutely necessary for stable flight.
I think it's both and you're both right. Poor frame engineering and design results in oscillations that can't be filtered and/or tuned out. I just ordered this thing. Once it arrives I will see how well the claims hold up. If I remember I'll come back here and report my findings.
@@dr0n3droid you need to see better, use 👓 , i tell about the vehicle have different weights, propeller diameters, and this difference is not compensated by any PID setting
Amazing content, photage, clear and detailed explenation and postediting. I am starting to pickup on many amazing channels with few subscribers while "influencers" seem to have 100k+ subs. Unbelievable. Keep it up Philip and good luck!
very well done I see what you did here: you had a drone follow another drone and you guys play so well together not only in flying but also in life thank you so kindly
Dude, this vid is pure fire - awesome review and those shots, man! It's practically begging to be iFlight's official ad! Subbed to your channel after catching this gem. Big ups on the success vibes for your future content! Quick Q: Just hopped on the Chimera 7 Pro V2 train, and I gotta know, what's your take on how it stacks up against Chimera7 (wind resistance and the whole flying vibe)? Keep shredding, bro!
Great shots! And yes...gotta keep those hands warm for sure. So EPIC when you have a buddy who can help create those 'chase fpv clips', which look great! Looks like a beast of an quad...thanks fore the review!
Hi from England. You mentioned getting cold hands. If you got an old sleeping bag you could cut the bottom off and add a plastic window so you can see the screen and put the remote control in the sleeping bag. Close the entry hole with velcro. You can make holes for the ariels etc as needed. You can still wear gloves too. You can also buy heating pads that run off a 5 volt battery. Google 5 volt usb heating pads and you should come up with something. I recently bought some bar cycle mits for my bike, which is where I got the idea from. They are like a bag that fits on your handlebars over your breaks and you slip your hands in. All the best.
First of all great video. I didn’t catch if you said which GoPro you’re using? The quality of this video is next level man.i will definitely need one of these GoPros on my drone
Philip! Really nice work you put into your first YT video - well thought through and I enjoyed watching it. Very well reviewed and got me to understand now the Helion even more! :)
really great footage. It's really nice to see what it looks like on the Lofoten Islands now. I was there in the summer and also flew FPV, but with snow it looks incredible too.

It does look like you need to pick up a transmitter glove of some sort, though! Make the most of those flights!
@@Philip_Halvorsen When I need 30 minutes, yes. If a 12 minute flight is sufficient, then I'll still run like a 5200 mAh 4S lipo, to have the amperage headroom without as much weight. The 21700 4S2P packs I run can do 100A if I need them to at 8.2 Ah, but they're quite heavy -- not as bad as running a 5Ah 6S pack on a 7", though! They still feel agile enough for dives and such, even with a li-ion pack and a gopro. On my 10", I generally run 10Ah 6S packs; I found it flies a lot better with a little more heft to it, but I think I'm running bigger motors than you are. 10-inch Long-range is not made to do crazy flippy-flops. It´s really perfect for cruising! And bottom mount makes sense for having the most flexibility for all different battery sizes. Top mount can also easily hit a rock if it crashes
@@Philip_Halvorsen why have a quad that is limited, who doesnt want to do a roll or two, and yes bottom battery is much much more susceptible to a battery being ripped off if your mountain surfing and its the closes thing to the ground or rocks, i like the look of the drone im not a fan of bottom mounted batteries after flying FPV for the last 12 years.

The "amazing stability" literally from the PID tune and not solely from the build. iFlight definitely makes solid bind-and-fly builds though.
