This is true, but it's never a bad thing to have a second kit that offers a different playstyle than what it can usually play as. I wouldn't have given decav wall, probably burst/cooler instead. Can play aggressive but paints for cooler well and can also get value from selfish coolers.
@@Starbonsai Problem is that Decav doesn't really get many of the buffs from cooler. Not only that, but it's pretty counterintuitive for sharking and decav doesn't play around its team a lot to get the most out of cooler. I just don't think its a great pick for the special no matter what tbh.
@@glitchingeclipse9850 it's not an ideal build for sharking, but i think if you make a support kit you inherently aren't thinking of that on a kit. Decav likes movement speed, can paint for coolers very well, and gives you instant respawn and jump speed (take a pick insta jump out to anchor for example). This could also help your slow charge slashes be less punishing since you'd have that faster respawn. Well, at least in my opinion, I think cooler decav would be a fun option for it.
@@Starbonsai the only movement speed buff it really gets is swim speed, the other ones like IA aren’t as helpful and run speed has no effect on splatanas whatsoever. I just don’t think that it would be a worthwhile pick for a tacti option if it’s forced to play outside of its natural playstyle while not getting the same perks for using tacti as other weapons would.
Honestly I could see decav fitting into support or slaying, depending on what buffs it gets. But as is, I do think it leans closer to the slayer role and really deserves an aggressive kit (especially since you kept mint the same)
I am not the biggest fan of suction on splat Brella the amount of sub saver you’d need to make it reasonable on Brella, which is extremely ink hungry, I think fizzy would be a lot better. I understand that you are trying to have perfect sub distribution but it does not work well for some weapons.
I agree. Suction Bomb and Point Sensor are both a poor match for Brella. Sub distribution is a legitimate problem with the game, but trying to rework the kits with perfect sub distribution ends up leading to more bad kits. Who cares if there ends up being a few more Suction Bombs than Torpedoes? Synergistic kit design should take priority over that.
I feel like Brella was one of the few weapons Sprinkler actually kinda worked on, just give it Tac or something and give Undercover the more aggressive kits
Overall I’d say I give this selection a 8.2/10, it does much better at keeping the variety of kits balanced between subs and specials, and a lot of them are fantastic. However, some of these choices seem a bit off to me, like having a supportive kit on the Decav or Burst Bomb on the VShot (which is already crazy powerful). There are a couple personal tweaks I would make, maybe trade the VShot and VSwig kits imo or the like, but you kept my main of Rapid Blaster Deco untouched so I really can’t complain too much.
I think the agressive backline playstyle available with ultra stamp wellstring and goo tuber being lost kinda sucks, those were some of the most fun ultra stamp kits. I do like point sensor on crab hedit though, that weapon needs a little more something for it to be fun that a splat bomb just doesn't give it. Also cooler undercover not existing is such a crime. In general undercover lacking a support kit is a crime considering its the one thing the weapon does really well.
get sprinkler off my baby luna blaster asap. fizzy was so much better and luna didnt deserve having its kit removed just so wiper could take it! even if you wanted to give it a different sub, i think line marker genuinely wouldve been better for a burst paint option + comboing off an indirect.
So the only improved stringer kits here are the Tri Stringer with beakons, and the Reef-Lux with Fizzy Tri-Strike (but to fair the person who programmed Smash Ultimate's buffer system (which was Sakurai's pet cat) could make a better kit than the Reef Lux deco that actually appears in game) The rest are either keeping the weaker or less fun aspects of the original kits or doing whatever the heck that vanilla Wellstring kit is supposed to be Other notes are that carbon mains are likely going to sue you because those 2 kits should be considered a form of torture with how cruel they are to said carbon mains, Bamboo should keep Fizzy chumps as Wail is a terribly designed special and way less fun/synergistic than chumps are with bamboo, plus it wouldn't affect the special distribution in any negative way, and the beakon weapons were given prettymuch the distribution that I've wanted beakons to have since S1
This was a fun vid. Im just happy you took the god awful kraken off of my damn E liter. Of the weapons i actually play most of the kits are relatively unchanged. Ballpoint beakon sounds fun, both chargers are unchanged, v liter is unchanged, vynamo is unchanged, gold dynamo got a better special, etc. i can tell you put a lot of thought into this now im thinking i wanna try this
I'm glad you liked it! If you do end up with your own kit rework I'd be happy to see it. Be prepared, though, since coming up with 126 unique weapon kits with these rules took me _way_ longer than I expected. It was a really fun challenge, though.
Neat idea but in your aim to achieve perfect sub and special distribution, you ended up with some really bad kits, no offence. I don't think perfect kit distribution can ever work in Splatoon. Every weapon has specific needs and if we were living in a perfect world where every single kit was perfectly synergistic, there would inevitably be an uneven distribution of subs and specials simply due to some of them complementing fewer weapons than others.
I know you said some weapons would have to get the stinky specials And you are correct that big swig feels comfortable being in the enemy's face And I do appreciate the splat bomb But Ultrastamp......... 😭
originally i thought big swigs kit would be good with a splat bomb, but it would be miles better with a burst bomb. it has insane combo potential compared to any other bomb in the game, and it would be big swigs best sub weapon.
I honestly think splatoon 3 would be almost perfect with these kits! And this was a great vid to introduce me to a splatoon content creator! Really liked some of these - the nstamper, vsplash, vbow, undercover (both), vsquelchies, sorella brella, c liter kits stood out a lot to me! the only things i would have done differently would have been giving zink mini burst and bubbler, and the original game carbon deco kit has the main benefit of helping it with long range threats. additionally the heavy edit n kit is perfect and the weapon does deserve a bomb (altho i get that some kits will have to have sensor). also a shame not to give tent ultra stamp as those work well together. heavy splatling doesnt really want a kraken, as the special weapon takes away the amazing pressure of the main weapon. finally i think nautilus deserved its inkjet back. dont want to seem too critical - im defo biased as i main splatlings
they slaughtered my already deceased boy.... (the brush weapons) but honestly the changes do seem pretty good! (aside from Octobrush not getting Tacticooler but thats probably a me thing)
The only absolutely terrible change here is the point sensor on vbrella, i doubt it would use it very well. Other than that, I have very few disagreements! Maybe give blob the dart back so it doesn’t become too much of an annoyance (and idk if anyone pointed this out but blob deco is in the wrong spot in the chart at the end of the vid). Also, maybe carbon should have burst/zip as a kit, but with the rules you have in place, I can see why slider might have happened. Overall a great video, and I can respect the hard work you put into it, as I did the same thing on Twitter a few days ago with third kits too. Hope you don’t get much hate from the video, cause people love their weapon kits!
Thanks for the feedback! I wasn't entirely sure what to give brella, but perhaps I missed the mark on that one. As for the Blob Deco, no one has pointed out that error yet (something always slips through the cracks...). The chart is correct, and it should keep dart. Agreed that people do care deeply about their kits, and will definitely make their opinions heard on it (which I encourage). I expected to get some negative comments, but the amount of kind and/or positive feedback I've gotten has made it worthwhile.
i loved this video so much, assumung it was coming from a smaller content creator i thought it would be unpolished and poor quality, but i was quickly proven wrong. i agree with all your kit choices... oh, apart from bloblobber - give that thing it's line marker back!! aand ig charcoal should have ink mine too... ah well

I dont even play carbon but the vanilla kit is so much funner with zipcaster, idk why people think its so bad. It has a combo with it for one and it also shoots fast allowing for quick ledge kill while allowing you to run Edit: i also really like a lot of these kits but i feel like some of the bad kits give weapons like undercover more interesting playstyles rather than just slapping on A tier and above subs and specials just because its bad. Also torpedo, fizzy, and burst on everything? I get people like those subs but it feels like almost every weapon got them.
Slosh do be perfect L-3 Was cooking though 5 star for that however Rip Luna my favourite part of vanilla was Zipcaster and my favourite part of Neo was fizzy
I think the only change i hard disagree with is Splash with Zipcaster, and just because of turf war existing, last 10 seconds, pop a zipcaster, go to he enemy base and paint it, given how ink efficient the weapon is, the meta of turf war would be super toxic. No i don'tplay turf war, but this would destroy splatfest in their current state
I think Bamboo MK II should keep Chumps and stay the same cuz it actually helps with comp building with paint output. Both reeflux kits are too passive, one should be more aggressive and movement focused, maybe give inkjet/zip, has fast charge to defend landing. Splitting Sorella Brella kit feels unnecessary since that weapon needs help so maybe just make it a launch kit and support kit would either have chumps/rain and is dependent on a poking tool probably fizzy if it's still available. Giving torp/fizzy/marker to carbon rather than auto, too dependent on a combo tool. Swap Decav's cooler and Dread's Chumps. Dread having cooler opens up backless, triple/quad AOE and double cooler comps, it's too good to pass up. Chumps helps Decav with paint and pushing up with its longer charge time though it could've also gotten a more aggro kit, maybe 3rd kits? 👍Overall mostly cool list of kits other than a few stinkers but I think you should diversify some weapons playstyle like Reeflux, also we forget about the comp building aspects, there's still no short ranged vac weapons, currently unproven cuz of it plus current meta makes most short range options play a lot more supportive. Maybe Zap 3rd kit since S2 gave it 3 supportive kits and that's kind of it's weapon identity rn. I'm riding the Vac Copium train 🥲
Some of these kits are pretty good, both of UCB's kits and Vblaster's kit are all exact matches for the kits I'd give them, and I'd love to see no dupe kits. However, I'm not sure how I feel about some of the brella kits, especially the vanilla splat brella kit. I think Sorella Brella is fine as-is, and probably is the strongest brella kit behind Sorella Tent, and I'd rather see its vanilla kit entirely redone rather than being stuck with a worse version of the good kit it already has, especially seeing as it's just given to another Inkjet weapon (painbrush) with no regard for Brella's lack of synergy with Point Sensor, or the fact that Painbrush already has PS on its second kit (even if that synergy also sucks). Brella is a weak weapon man, leave the good kits alone! Also burst + Trizooka on Vshot is wiiiild with how Zooka is now, even if on launch it would be fine.
Idk why but i always wanted two things for brellas 1: Undercover with zipcaster, it gives a combo. The shield helps with defending the zip when it gets predictable and last but not least, it heavily up the mobility on the weapon And 2: the regular brella has killer wail. It's max damage hit combos real well and it allows it to play offensive with the defense of the shield up (at least it was the better splatoon 1 rework special for than inkstrike -_-)

I could see undercover working well with zip, but I worry that the weapon wouldn't be able to keep up given how weak it is, especially in terms of damage. I can see the vision in a world where undercover is balanced, though. I also agree that wail could work well for splat brella, and I would definitely consider pairing them together if I made third kits, but I wanted storm and inkjet on it just a little bit more. Hopefully Nintendo listens to you and puts that on a third kit. I know brella players need as many wins as they can get.
Still no wall on blobblober or burst bomb on jetsquelcher is a crime. I also don’t feel the wellstring really got saved in terms of kits. It needs a better kit really badly. Losing its bomb in this version in favor of mist isn’t very favorable either and I’d actually rather have hammer than screen.
I disagree with wellstring, I think it should have both an aggressive and supportive kit. I like the point sensor and wavebreaker, but I think the screen kit is a little too underwhelming, I think it would be ok if it had a bomb, but I think toxic mist should be on a potential third kit with inkstrike or perhaps wail?

When I was initially scripting this video, the weapon did not have its full speed air charging yet, so giving it Zipcaster at that point didn't make much sense. I like the ideas on some of these kits but they feel like they have the same issues with the current kits, where some are unnecessarily weak feeling and no synergy. Great work on the video though!!
This has both some very banger kits and some hard misses Like on one hand, finally some weapons like Dapples or Tetras or Big Swig or Blob or Reeflux get more fun kits that might actually make them good On the other hand you put Ink Mine on Dread :(
The Missle L-3 is gonna cause some problems TBH, L-3 paints more than splash and further than 52 with more poking range of Tri, L-3 is balanced but i dont want a defensive Kshot with Fizzy. Also a good amount of other Kits i dont agree on. (as a Dolphin main Dread looks good Tho, but why VH-3 Strikes)
some kits are good like the tetra kits. but a problem i have is that the kraken kits still feel like missed opportunity. the new kraken kit you added was on the dousers even though it would work better on 3 other dualies.
There are definitely other dualies that could use Kraken well, but when deciding the kits I figured most other dualies had two other specials I wanted on them more. Tetras are one of the few good Reefslider weapons, so that kit makes sense, and not having Zipcaster Tetras would be a crime. Gloogas already got two great kits, so changing them made no sense. Dualie Squelchers don't seem to fit Kraken. Splat Dualies would have worked well with it, but the Crab Tank kit is a strong one, even with Splash in the game, and the Triple Splashdown kit with Curling, even if not the strongest competitively, is too fun to change. That just leaves Dapple Dualies. Do you think it would be more fitting for one of their kits to be swapped in place of the Kraken Dousers? I can see the vision for that one.

giving carbon roller reefslider made my blood boil. there is absolutely no synergy whatsoever. if you just swapped specials with the vanilla kit, giving it burst bomb and zipcaster that wouldve worked out perfectly fine. however i think a better special would be kraken royale. being able to extend and overheat killstreaks with it would be a game changer.
I'll say the selection was pretty original for the most part and I really enjoyed it... until I saw the Slider selection Three weapons on its selection do not work at all with Slider, being Aerospray, Carbon, and Tri-slosher and those should be replaced by some other weapons, which for me would be Reeflux, Sblast and Splattershot
It's a cool concept, but damn these kits are not good and while they probably are a bit better balanced then the s3 kits, they are overall way less fun imo and give the weapons a lot less to do. Also you took octobrush's already hot garbage kits, kept the worst parts and made nouveau even worse 😭
As someone who mains both Luna Blaster and Sploosh these kits are very disappointing. If taking Zipcaster away from Luna wasn't enough, the V Luna is getting Sprinkler as well? I mean I know where you were going with that, but for me personally Luna needs a bomb so it has a tool to attack from further away here and there. At least Neo Luna still has Splat Bomb, and Triple Splashdown is fun too, but yeah I would miss Zipcaster (also enabling it to get closer, which Splashdown doesn't). Yeah and then Sploosh getting the same Specials doesn't feel diverse. But I would like to see the Neo Sploosh kit, although I have so mich fun with trolling enemies in their spawn putting Beacons at every corner😂 And taking away Inkjet from Tri Slosher feels bad (as well as from Charcoal Decav)
@@lpvettel Looking back, I may have been a little harsh on Luna with Zip, but it is one of the weaker Zipcaster users in the real game due to its short range, slow fire rate, and midair RNG. Maybe I could have workshopped that kit a bit longer, but a better Ultra Stamp option eluded me, so I went with that. I definitely stand by my Sploosh kits, but I didn't notice I gave both it and Luna the same specials, which I tried to avoid. If I changed one so they had different specials, it would be one of the Lunas. As for the inkjets, while I definitely agree both of those weapons work well with Inkjet, I simply had others I wanted to see with it more. I already gave it to eight weapons, so any more would be overkill, but if I did have one more, I would probably give it to Tri-Slosher again. Thanks for the feedback! I mean it's your opinion what you would give them while also having to equal out the number of times a sub/special is used is not that easy for sure. I mean someone won't be happy about your picks, but there will be some that are delighted. With Zip: I agree it's one of the weaker ones on Luna, but it's definetely more fun than Stamp and Splashdown. The Sploosh kits by themselves are fine, I mean I would like to have Neo Splooshs kit on a 3rd kit in the game (please Nintendo). But personally I prefer the Neo kit. If I would change your kits to my likings I would do the following: V Luna: Auto-Bomb/Zpicaster Neo Luna: Splat-Bomb/Triple Splashdown V Sploosh: Beakon/Ultra Stamp Neo Sploosh: Burst Bomb/Inkjet (just for it to not have Splashdown as well)
I think making kits with the goal of being evenly distributed is a cool idea that I wish had more of an emphasis in the base game at times, but I think it also made me realize that this whole system needs to be left behind. There will naturally be worse options, but some of these new kits are honestly pretty bad, no offense. This would never have to be an issue in the first place if any given weapon could just choose any given kit combo
I've seen a few comments like this, and as a Decavitator player, they really surprise me. Maybe calling it a support was a poor choice of words, but I don't see how a weapon with impressive paint output and large hitboxes can't make use out of being a Tacticooler weapon, especially when Tri-Slosher Nouveau saw a lot of use before getting set to 210p. Do you have a suggestion for what would make a better Tacticooler weapon? Also, sorry about Tri-Slosher. Something had to get Reefslider!
@@VMan776 because what does decavgain from having tactiooler? other than quick respawn, what else really benefits the main weapon? and this is all coming with trade off that you can no longer shark effectively, which is something decav really likes to have considering its slow speed. tacticooler on decav actively harms the main weapon by giving it a special that will make it 3x easier for opponents to kill you also about tri i dont really care about reefslider, problem is that you kept toxic mist which is stupidly awful on tri and then replaced the only good part of the kit was replaced with mediocrity

@@WyGuy49 tri-slosher main here! mist doesnt synergize with tri-slosher at all. mist never actually helps tri and its always a thing you randomly throw if you want to be slightly annoying. i know reefslider synergizes and i actually like reefslider on tri but the problem is that it still has mist. you're replacing the only good part about the kit (inkjet) with mediocrity (reefslider) which ends up dragging the whole kit down because toxic mist is terrible on tri-slosher. tri has little to no synergy with mist and i dont think it ever will
Why would you make Carbon’s burst bomb kit have Reefslider? Carbon as a main weapon is barely functional without burst bomb, and Reefslider isn’t a functional special weapon even with burst bomb. This is the worst Carbon Roller kit imaginable. Shame on you.
@@SealHugger_68 You pretty much explained why I made these changes. Since Carbon is so reliant on burst bomb, also giving that kit the perfect special basically guarantees that the weapon won't get buffed as much as it might otherwise, while also ensuring that the other kit will always be bad (160p Carbon, anyone?) If the two kits both have one strong part and one weaker part, that bring the kits closer together in terms of balance, making main weapon buffs less risky. Ideally, this would mean _both_ kits can see viability.
@@sleeplessarcher I agree it sounds silly in a vacuum, but one thing I didn't mention in the video is that the kits are designed not so much to balance out power, which often changes due to patches, but instead to maximize synergy. In a world where every sub weapon is equal in power, I see Clash working better with Angle Shooter than a lot of other subs, which is why I landed on that pairing.

However, some of these choices seem a bit off to me, like having a supportive kit on the Decav or Burst Bomb on the VShot (which is already crazy powerful). There are a couple personal tweaks I would make, maybe trade the VShot and VSwig kits imo or the like, but you kept my main of Rapid Blaster Deco untouched so I really can’t complain too much.

I think the agressive backline playstyle available with ultra stamp wellstring and goo tuber being lost kinda sucks, those were some of the most fun ultra stamp kits. I do like point sensor on crab hedit though, that weapon needs a little more something for it to be fun that a splat bomb just doesn't give it. Also cooler undercover not existing is such a crime. In general undercover lacking a support kit is a crime considering its the one thing the weapon does really well.
get sprinkler off my baby luna blaster asap. fizzy was so much better and luna didnt deserve having its kit removed just so wiper could take it! even if you wanted to give it a different sub, i think line marker genuinely wouldve been better for a burst paint option + comboing off an indirect.
I think your kits are for the most almost perfect so it would be really good changes for the game
So the only improved stringer kits here are the Tri Stringer with beakons, and the Reef-Lux with Fizzy Tri-Strike (but to fair the person who programmed Smash Ultimate's buffer system (which was Sakurai's pet cat) could make a better kit than the Reef Lux deco that actually appears in game)
The rest are either keeping the weaker or less fun aspects of the original kits or doing whatever the heck that vanilla Wellstring kit is supposed to be
Other notes are that carbon mains are likely going to sue you because those 2 kits should be considered a form of torture with how cruel they are to said carbon mains, Bamboo should keep Fizzy chumps as Wail is a terribly designed special and way less fun/synergistic than chumps are with bamboo, plus it wouldn't affect the special distribution in any negative way, and the beakon weapons were given prettymuch the distribution that I've wanted beakons to have since S1

This was a fun vid. Im just happy you took the god awful kraken off of my damn E liter. Of the weapons i actually play most of the kits are relatively unchanged. Ballpoint beakon sounds fun, both chargers are unchanged, v liter is unchanged, vynamo is unchanged, gold dynamo got a better special, etc. i can tell you put a lot of thought into this now im thinking i wanna try this
I'm glad you liked it! If you do end up with your own kit rework I'd be happy to see it. Be prepared, though, since coming up with 126 unique weapon kits with these rules took me _way_ longer than I expected. It was a really fun challenge, though.
Neat idea but in your aim to achieve perfect sub and special distribution, you ended up with some really bad kits, no offence. I don't think perfect kit distribution can ever work in Splatoon. Every weapon has specific needs and if we were living in a perfect world where every single kit was perfectly synergistic, there would inevitably be an uneven distribution of subs and specials simply due to some of them complementing fewer weapons than others.

originally i thought big swigs kit would be good with a splat bomb, but it would be miles better with a burst bomb. it has insane combo potential compared to any other bomb in the game, and it would be big swigs best sub weapon.
I honestly think splatoon 3 would be almost perfect with these kits! And this was a great vid to introduce me to a splatoon content creator!
Really liked some of these - the nstamper, vsplash, vbow, undercover (both), vsquelchies, sorella brella, c liter kits stood out a lot to me!
the only things i would have done differently would have been giving zink mini burst and bubbler, and the original game carbon deco kit has the main benefit of helping it with long range threats. additionally the heavy edit n kit is perfect and the weapon does deserve a bomb (altho i get that some kits will have to have sensor). also a shame not to give tent ultra stamp as those work well together. heavy splatling doesnt really want a kraken, as the special weapon takes away the amazing pressure of the main weapon. finally i think nautilus deserved its inkjet back.

The only absolutely terrible change here is the point sensor on vbrella, i doubt it would use it very well. Other than that, I have very few disagreements! Maybe give blob the dart back so it doesn’t become too much of an annoyance (and idk if anyone pointed this out but blob deco is in the wrong spot in the chart at the end of the vid). Also, maybe carbon should have burst/zip as a kit, but with the rules you have in place, I can see why slider might have happened. Overall a great video, and I can respect the hard work you put into it, as I did the same thing on Twitter a few days ago with third kits too. Hope you don’t get much hate from the video, cause people love their weapon kits!
Thanks for the feedback! I wasn't entirely sure what to give brella, but perhaps I missed the mark on that one. As for the Blob Deco, no one has pointed out that error yet (something always slips through the cracks...). The chart is correct, and it should keep dart.
Agreed that people do care deeply about their kits, and will definitely make their opinions heard on it (which I encourage). I expected to get some negative comments, but the amount of kind and/or positive feedback I've gotten has made it worthwhile.

I dont even play carbon but the vanilla kit is so much funner with zipcaster, idk why people think its so bad. It has a combo with it for one and it also shoots fast allowing for quick ledge kill while allowing you to run
Edit: i also really like a lot of these kits but i feel like some of the bad kits give weapons like undercover more interesting playstyles rather than just slapping on A tier and above subs and specials just because its bad. Also torpedo, fizzy, and burst on everything? I get people like those subs but it feels like almost every weapon got them.
Overall I liked most of the kits, but seeing Aerospray cursed with Slider again broke me. I think I might be the only Battle Aero left.

I think the only change i hard disagree with is Splash with Zipcaster, and just because of turf war existing, last 10 seconds, pop a zipcaster, go to he enemy base and paint it, given how ink efficient the weapon is, the meta of turf war would be super toxic.

I think Bamboo MK II should keep Chumps and stay the same cuz it actually helps with comp building with paint output. Both reeflux kits are too passive, one should be more aggressive and movement focused, maybe give inkjet/zip, has fast charge to defend landing. Splitting Sorella Brella kit feels unnecessary since that weapon needs help so maybe just make it a launch kit and support kit would either have chumps/rain and is dependent on a poking tool probably fizzy if it's still available.
Giving torp/fizzy/marker to carbon rather than auto, too dependent on a combo tool.
Swap Decav's cooler and Dread's Chumps. Dread having cooler opens up backless, triple/quad AOE and double cooler comps, it's too good to pass up. Chumps helps Decav with paint and pushing up with its longer charge time though it could've also gotten a more aggro kit, maybe 3rd kits?
👍Overall mostly cool list of kits other than a few stinkers but I think you should diversify some weapons playstyle like Reeflux, also we forget about the comp building aspects, there's still no short ranged vac weapons, currently unproven cuz of it plus current meta makes most short range options play a lot more supportive. Maybe Zap 3rd kit since S2 gave it 3 supportive kits and that's kind of it's weapon identity rn.

Some of these kits are pretty good, both of UCB's kits and Vblaster's kit are all exact matches for the kits I'd give them, and I'd love to see no dupe kits. However, I'm not sure how I feel about some of the brella kits, especially the vanilla splat brella kit. I think Sorella Brella is fine as-is, and probably is the strongest brella kit behind Sorella Tent, and I'd rather see its vanilla kit entirely redone rather than being stuck with a worse version of the good kit it already has, especially seeing as it's just given to another Inkjet weapon (painbrush) with no regard for Brella's lack of synergy with Point Sensor, or the fact that Painbrush already has PS on its second kit (even if that synergy also sucks). Brella is a weak weapon man, leave the good kits alone!
Also burst + Trizooka on Vshot is wiiiild with how Zooka is now, even if on launch it would be fine.

Each weapon should have at least one damaging sub, mostly because you took away Wellstring's autobomb

Idk why but i always wanted two things for brellas
1: Undercover with zipcaster, it gives a combo. The shield helps with defending the zip when it gets predictable and last but not least, it heavily up the mobility on the weapon
And 2: the regular brella has killer wail. It's max damage hit combos real well and it allows it to play offensive with the defense of the shield up (at least it was the better splatoon 1 rework special for than inkstrike -_-)
@@justanoreo2.0 Those are some interesting ideas! I could see undercover working well with zip, but I worry that the weapon wouldn't be able to keep up given how weak it is, especially in terms of damage. I can see the vision in a world where undercover is balanced, though.
I also agree that wail could work well for splat brella, and I would definitely consider pairing them together if I made third kits, but I wanted storm and inkjet on it just a little bit more. Hopefully Nintendo listens to you and puts that on a third kit. I know brella players need as many wins as they can get.
Still no wall on blobblober or burst bomb on jetsquelcher is a crime. I also don’t feel the wellstring really got saved in terms of kits. It needs a better kit really badly. Losing its bomb in this version in favor of mist isn’t very favorable either and I’d actually rather have hammer than screen.
I disagree with wellstring, I think it should have both an aggressive and supportive kit. I like the point sensor and wavebreaker, but I think the screen kit is a little too underwhelming, I think it would be ok if it had a bomb, but I think toxic mist should be on a potential third kit with inkstrike or perhaps wail?

When I was initially scripting this video, the weapon did not have its full speed air charging yet, so giving it Zipcaster at that point didn't make much sense. Now, though, I think it could definitely be a cool Zip weapon, but the video was too far in to change it. Thanks for the feedback!

The Missle L-3 is gonna cause some problems TBH, L-3 paints more than splash and further than 52 with more poking range of Tri, L-3 is balanced but i dont want a defensive Kshot with Fizzy.
Also a good amount of other Kits i dont agree on.
(as a Dolphin main Dread looks good Tho, but why VH-3 Strikes)

some kits are good like the tetra kits. but a problem i have is that the kraken kits still feel like missed opportunity. the new kraken kit you added was on the dousers even though it would work better on 3 other dualies.
There are definitely other dualies that could use Kraken well, but when deciding the kits I figured most other dualies had two other specials I wanted on them more.
Tetras are one of the few good Reefslider weapons, so that kit makes sense, and not having Zipcaster Tetras would be a crime.
Gloogas already got two great kits, so changing them made no sense.
Dualie Squelchers don't seem to fit Kraken.
Splat Dualies would have worked well with it, but the Crab Tank kit is a strong one, even with Splash in the game, and the Triple Splashdown kit with Curling, even if not the strongest competitively, is too fun to change.
That just leaves Dapple Dualies. Do you think it would be more fitting for one of their kits to be swapped in place of the Kraken Dousers? I can see the vision for that one.

giving carbon roller reefslider made my blood boil. there is absolutely no synergy whatsoever. if you just swapped specials with the vanilla kit, giving it burst bomb and zipcaster that wouldve worked out perfectly fine. however i think a better special would be kraken royale. being able to extend and overheat killstreaks with it would be a game changer.

I'll say the selection was pretty original for the most part and I really enjoyed it... until I saw the Slider selection
Three weapons on its selection do not work at all with Slider, being Aerospray, Carbon, and Tri-slosher and those should be replaced by some other weapons, which for me would be Reeflux, Sblast and Splattershot
It's a cool concept, but damn these kits are not good and while they probably are a bit better balanced then the s3 kits, they are overall way less fun imo and give the weapons a lot less to do. Also you took octobrush's already hot garbage kits, kept the worst parts and made nouveau even worse 😭

As someone who mains both Luna Blaster and Sploosh these kits are very disappointing. If taking Zipcaster away from Luna wasn't enough, the V Luna is getting Sprinkler as well? I mean I know where you were going with that, but for me personally Luna needs a bomb so it has a tool to attack from further away here and there. At least Neo Luna still has Splat Bomb, and Triple Splashdown is fun too, but yeah I would miss Zipcaster (also enabling it to get closer, which Splashdown doesn't). Yeah and then Sploosh getting the same Specials doesn't feel diverse. But I would like to see the Neo Sploosh kit, although I have so mich fun with trolling enemies in their spawn putting Beacons at every corner😂
And taking away Inkjet from Tri Slosher feels bad (as well as from Charcoal Decav)
@@lpvettel Looking back, I may have been a little harsh on Luna with Zip, but it is one of the weaker Zipcaster users in the real game due to its short range, slow fire rate, and midair RNG. Maybe I could have workshopped that kit a bit longer, but a better Ultra Stamp option eluded me, so I went with that.
I definitely stand by my Sploosh kits, but I didn't notice I gave both it and Luna the same specials, which I tried to avoid. If I changed one so they had different specials, it would be one of the Lunas.
As for the inkjets, while I definitely agree both of those weapons work well with Inkjet, I simply had others I wanted to see with it more. I already gave it to eight weapons, so any more would be overkill, but if I did have one more, I would probably give it to Tri-Slosher again.

With Zip: I agree it's one of the weaker ones on Luna, but it's definetely more fun than Stamp and Splashdown.
The Sploosh kits by themselves are fine, I mean I would like to have Neo Splooshs kit on a 3rd kit in the game (please Nintendo). But personally I prefer the Neo kit.
If I would change your kits to my likings I would do the following:
V Luna: Auto-Bomb/Zpicaster
Neo Luna: Splat-Bomb/Triple Splashdown
V Sploosh: Beakon/Ultra Stamp
Neo Sploosh: Burst Bomb/Inkjet (just for it to not have Splashdown as well)
I think making kits with the goal of being evenly distributed is a cool idea that I wish had more of an emphasis in the base game at times, but I think it also made me realize that this whole system needs to be left behind. There will naturally be worse options, but some of these new kits are honestly pretty bad, no offense. This would never have to be an issue in the first place if any given weapon could just choose any given kit combo

I've seen a few comments like this, and as a Decavitator player, they really surprise me. Maybe calling it a support was a poor choice of words, but I don't see how a weapon with impressive paint output and large hitboxes can't make use out of being a Tacticooler weapon, especially when Tri-Slosher Nouveau saw a lot of use before getting set to 210p. Do you have a suggestion for what would make a better Tacticooler weapon?

@@VMan776 because what does decavgain from having tactiooler? other than quick respawn, what else really benefits the main weapon? and this is all coming with trade off that you can no longer shark effectively, which is something decav really likes to have considering its slow speed. tacticooler on decav actively harms the main weapon by giving it a special that will make it 3x easier for opponents to kill you
also about tri i dont really care about reefslider, problem is that you kept toxic mist which is stupidly awful on tri and then replaced the only good part of the kit was replaced with mediocrity

@@WyGuy49 tri-slosher main here! mist doesnt synergize with tri-slosher at all. mist never actually helps tri and its always a thing you randomly throw if you want to be slightly annoying. i know reefslider synergizes and i actually like reefslider on tri but the problem is that it still has mist. you're replacing the only good part about the kit (inkjet) with mediocrity (reefslider) which ends up dragging the whole kit down because toxic mist is terrible on tri-slosher. tri has little to no synergy with mist and i dont think it ever will

Why would you make Carbon’s burst bomb kit have Reefslider? Carbon as a main weapon is barely functional without burst bomb, and Reefslider isn’t a functional special weapon even with burst bomb. This is the worst Carbon Roller kit imaginable. Shame on you.

Since Carbon is so reliant on burst bomb, also giving that kit the perfect special basically guarantees that the weapon won't get buffed as much as it might otherwise, while also ensuring that the other kit will always be bad (160p Carbon, anyone?)
If the two kits both have one strong part and one weaker part, that bring the kits closer together in terms of balance, making main weapon buffs less risky. Ideally, this would mean _both_ kits can see viability.
You don't need burst bomb to play carbon, I main it and barely use it, you must not know how to play it and aren't playing it right

@@sleeplessarcher I agree it sounds silly in a vacuum, but one thing I didn't mention in the video is that the kits are designed not so much to balance out power, which often changes due to patches, but instead to maximize synergy. In a world where every sub weapon is equal in power, I see Clash working better with Angle Shooter than a lot of other subs, which is why I landed on that pairing.
