As someone who's been trying to figure out their 'aesthetic', color palette, et cetera, for the longest time now, I've got to say watching your channel and seeing the way you utilise neutrals and beige throughout your home has really made me fall in love with softer and neutral interiors and color palettes :) It's not for everyone, but I find your whole aesthetic so warm and pretty! Not boring at all lol

For me, it was also really helpful to realize that my color preference and aesthetic can be a little different between what I'd wear and what I'd use on my home! You can have more than one set of preferences for different things.

It's such a tough spot... All the youtube mama's that I love, share values with, relate to are all pulling back their "family life" and I would probably be doing the same thing... But it's SUCH an encouragement to watch those nitty gritty videos and feel the solidarity.

"Don't you find all beige boring" Ah, yes, random stranger, you're right, I do find beige boring, which is why I surround myself with that colour in my home and clothing style.
Seriously doubt that people really question this. They just want to get their own opinion in about how you're somehow boring or wrong, and it's rude imo.
I love maximalist, eclectic styles with lots of bold colours in my own home and also with the clothes I choose to wear, and I think your neutral style is so beautiful, calming, serene, I seriously love it. And even if I didn't, well, I can do it differently in my own life so why even care? Why comment on someone's else's likes and dislikes in a rude way?
If you don't like all neutrals, great, don't do it in your own spaces then. I don't do it in my spaces and I think yours fits you so well and it makes me happy to see when you share great thrift finds that you're excited about, or your reno updates.
Sorry, this turned into a bit of a rant, but I really don't like this tendency online that we feel entitled to insert our opinion on everything creators share online even their own personal tastes.

There is more than one type of counseling. We often think of it as "rescue" therapy, when we're really really struggling and have no other option. But there's also preventative, where you are currently functioning well but you know that some things could easily trigger you into a hard space. This helps you work on things while you're still functioning ok, to prevent you from getting triggered as hard into a really hard time. I'm still learning this.

i personally completely align with you "aesthetic" and the way you style yourself amd your home. I find bright colors too chaotic and prefer more muted tones. this prefference really differentiated me from my family and i felt really isolated. when i came across your channel it really lit a spark in my heart because i stopped feeling so alone. it has been really good to know that is okay to like different things and being different from my family is not a bad thing.

same! I strive to have a very neutral home, my partner wants his office very dark, so I can't wait for when we can get a big appartment, were he can have a dark office, I will have a cute and brighr art/office room, and the rest of the appartment is gonna be very neutral hahah my room is gonna be bright because it really inspires me to paint and I love painting colorful art, but the rest of the apartment would be too much

You officially touched on all my Autism traits in this video and the EXACT thought process I have when answering the same questions. Why do I like neutral colors? My first baby was a csection and I have had two successful vaginal births since. I got pregnant with my 2nd and 3rd at 13 months postpartum. I am a nursing student now and when I saw the recommendation for a successful vbac was to wait 18 months to conceive I was shocked 😅 seeing as my kids were both born 22 months after their previous sibling. I also completely agree with you. I do not know if I will ever feel "done" having children. I don't think I love anything more than giving birth and experiencing those first days of a newborn, the indescribable feeling of being your babies life line and whole world ultimately.

making time to spend with the Lord is so important, thank you for speaking on that subject. i used to be afraid to set aside time to read the bible and pray, because i was afraid of just- doing it grudgingly out of habit? but the Lord is so wonderful: in His design, the simple act of obedience, diligently making time for him even if we don’t *feel* like it... brings us even closer to Him. love you delilah + fam!!

Well said Delilah about colour choices, I had a difficult labour with my 4th baby, i had 3 natural deliveries with just gas and air but with my 4th son i was induced a week early and everything was progressing and they thought i was about to deliver when my baby’s heart rate dropped and i had to be rushed into an emergency c-section and when my son was delivered i was haemorrhaging and lost 3litres of blood i had torn my womb, i nearly had to have a hysterectomy but luckily they managed to stop the bleeding a stitch me up but it took at least 6months recovering i was poorly but my son is perfect and so glad we are living where we could of both died. Lots of love to you and your gorgeous children. 💕

Hello Delilah! I have been here for years and love your vlogs and content. The last question about babies and financial security, I would like to mention that where I live it's the same no need to worry about money when it comes to health. And that makes the journey to become a parent so much easier! Cannot imagine the other way around. Kiss from Portugal! :)

I've watched your channel for a while now and I always love seeing what your latest projects are and watching your children develop and grow. I am an early childhood teacher, however I do not have children myself, so I have learnt a lot from you. You are always very honest, especially when you say that having children is not always easy and you have challenging moments which are not shown on the videos. I have always felt that you would be an excellent early childhood educator/teacher. The way you allow your children to play and just be themselves is a benefit to you and your children, especially the risky or natural play you allow your children to engage in, such as exploring the kitchen by themselves, investigating all the drawers and cabinets. As I am in Australia I also love seeing the Canadian winters and how you live through them. Keep being positive, you are doing great.

I've had two c sections and it took almost a year after my first one for that numbness to really start going away! And I'm a neutrals lover too.

Hi Delilah! I had a c-section around 1 year ago and started touching and massaging the scar, a week or 2 after the operation. My feeling in all the area is back to normal and any adhesion is minimal. If you haven't tried it yet, please do! You can even find a massage therapist or fysio who can help you out in the beginning 😊 I don't know why there isn't more talk around the recovery from c-sec, it would help so many! I hope you get this message and I hope you will get to feel yourself "entirely" soon! :*

Watching Delilah fold laundry while I’m doing laundry, makes me feel like I have a friend by my side. I have 2 kids so far and I thought I was done but now I’m just feeling very nostalgic to think no more kids for me 🤷🏻‍♀️

If you have not and this is something that you would not feel weird about doing you could try c-section scare message to get that feeling back. You could do it by yourself or you could have your husband do it for you. It felt super weird to touch my incision and that whole area postpartum. After my second c-section I found out about scar message to help the area gain flexibility and normal sensation. Doing it just a little bit has helped so much.

I had a C-section for my first because she was breech, and then my son was born 5 years later in a water birth! So it is possible :) and it was an amazing experience :) Also, I love colours but I also really like your style and home, it’s very calming and lovely.

    Hey Delilah!!
Obviously this is a decision to make with your OB but I just wanted to tell you that I had a C-Section with my first and got pregnant with my second at 7 months pp. So, they were 16 months apart and I successfully had a VBAC. While I know not everyone is like this, I just thought it would be helpful to share ❤️

As a c-section mama I have been told by my pelvic therapist that numbness is a indication of scar tissue. Scar massage will help with that innerbscar healing process. ❤

Also currently getting ready for my vbac any day now. Hbac actually. There are really a lot of options for vbac mamas. The vbaclink has a ton of evidence based research and help for vbac mamas. It goes without saying that when you are ready.
Ab rehab by Nancy Anderson is a really great healing program. 🤗❤

While health care is a component, mine is pretty comprehensive and I spent the same amount the two years before I had kids as the year my baby was born (one broken hand, one semi-complicated miscarriage) so the health care piece of it wasn’t considerable for me. Financially ready had a lot to do with being able to afford a living situation that was “large enough” and in a good safe area for my children. Those things are probably considerations universally, although with different limitations - for example you’ve done well with small homes, and the where you live has always been bounded by your family unit so you didn’t have to consider vastly different places to live.

I think renovation videos are not too personal and we'd love to see all of them come to life! Even if you decide to leave, a video once a month or two in the upcoming years, even if we don't get the entire process but a thorough before and after would be appreciated.
I love the vlogs, and the Q&As and we all love your dear kids, I rewatched Eloise's shopping haul many times, also Zach doing his woodworks is fun :)
So perhaps if you want more privacy (which yeah, we loved that you got more into the real life and a bit less staged) we all understand that and it's our loss :D but we'd love even more "distant" or "staged" content from you, so if you're worried about vlogs maybe just do prepared videos. Tour of the kid room, other practical things for upcoming parents.
Love you and your family, you're such an inspiration! Wish you all the best no matter what you choose.
PS: I'd love honey Bee merch back, finally have a baby to match with xD
