It mostly helped but after I plugged it in and did my passcode and said it was trusted my Mac loaded for a bit and then after it finished I opened my finder but my iPhone isn’t at locations
i’ve tried to use a few cables but it keeps acting like it’s getting plugged and unplugged a bunch of times… it doesn’t even let me click on “trust this computer” :( i don’t know what to do… i have an iphone xr and a macbook air from 2017
The problem I am having is as soon as I plug the iphone to my macOs BIG SUR version 11.7.4 a sign pops up that says "A software update is required to connect to your iPhone" As soon as I click on update another sign pops up that says "Installation failed. Can't install the software" What do I do?
I see that your question was posted 10 months ago...so the one that put out this video was just giving rudimentary information I guess (?), well we thank him for that, but if the iphone is not connecting somehow, like in my case...I do not get any iphone up in Finder at all... I believe in my case it is "go and buy a new computer" which I try to get by as long as possible (?)...could that be in your case also..."buy a new computer" ?...or did you find a way to update? I am searching of course for someone to tell me what it means if nothing is seen in Finder, if there is a way around it or not.
You show the end of the cable plugging into the phone. How bout showing what the other end looks like and where it plugs into the computer. Since the title says connecting phone to Mac. This video should be titled synchronize phone to Mac. Novice
