Tip for stopping the bolts/screws from dropping back down is to put a bit of electrical around the shaft. I do this when fitting ventilation units when you don't want washers to keep dropping down the threaded bar and getting in the way of the lugs.

I am considering doing this too, because I have a leaking o-ring close to the swirl-gate-actuator. I also would like to clean the intake manifold and check the health of the swirl flaps. I have heard some time that these might fail at some point. My engine has done 350.000km, so it is probably not a bad idea to check the health.
However, I am very hesitant about unplugging a whole bunch of sensors. Don't you get fault codes etc.? And do all the connectors only fit in one other connector? Because I would obviously not want to miss-plug connectors.
Second question: how long did you wiggle the inlet manifold before getting it off? I would be afraid to break something :P
Thank you in advance. Greetings from The Netherlands.

I am considering to loosen the engine mounts, lift up the engine a little bit, remove the swirl-flap actuator and then pull out the brass swirl flap part you talked about in your other video. I've never tried Dipitane mate. I have some redex though!
No need to remove swirl flaps on this engine mate.. You'll lose low down torque and MPG

@@GeorgeAusters ok good call ye diptane works with fuel so they say redex just cleans around its great stuff wont harm parts
