    Really enjoyed your style of vlogging and review. Was very helpful. Just purchased mine with 18-150mm set + 11-22mm.

      You're welcome! As far as my stuff, I have a long way to go but I appreciate you checking it out. :) A note on your video -- I've had shots elude me for years, man, some I've gotten and some I'm still chasing. I like your persistence! I also love your mix of a review and a vlog. Great content all around. I look forward to more!

    that's the review i was looking for... wasn't sure whether to buy a eos-m (but it's gonna be the M50 with 22f2 & 18-150f3.5-6.3) or not. family and travelling - that's exact my aim...

    As a vlogger, and I'm told that we are the market for this particular camera, I really appreciate this vlog review. To me it gives me a good idea of what this camera can do and how it works in "real life" for the purpose of vlogging. I mainly do lifestyle and travel vlogs and so seeing it in action is perfect. To me, this is one of the best reviews I've seen of this camera. I also take photos, but I'm not a pro, just a hobbyist.

    EF-M 18-150mm Is on order along with an EOS M50 I can't wait, hoping to get a good cloud timelapse from the Pennines.

    nice of you to think about your photogs as a gift to give. thumbs up on the generous spirit. ghost town photos were nice. zoltar is your friend. i still like canon's color and the idea of dual auto for both video and stills remains appealing.

    • @AndrewGoodCamera
      @AndrewGoodCamera  6 лет назад

      Thanks for your comment. I also love Canon's color and using it for hybrid. I'm really excited to see what they come up with for a new FF mirrorless camera this year (if the rumors are to be believed).

    Good camera, Canon just need some options to make it "pro". Weather sealing, better native lenses, dual memory card, better battery life, silent mode...

    Good one Bossman. I was just in St. George last weekend for the kids soccer tournament. I have the XT2 and was thinking of picking up the M5 or the XT20 as a 2nd camera. Good to see it in action

    I'm really impressed of all the photos taken in this video!! Looks great! But how do you got the photos so colorful and so clear? Is it edited afterwards in Photoshop or is it only great settings you had on the camera while taking the photos? :)

    I have only watched 1/2 of this VLOG / Photoshoot, however, I HAVE TO STATE... those 2 photos you did manage to take, SIMPLY MIND BLOWING..... you certainly know your stuff and it shows...first though after the shot was.... WOW, Amazing! A rock wall..@7:29..and then the other....7:42....then it rained.... This proves that for a simple camera and pretty good lens, its the composing and talent...camera and lens...6%. I have a rebel T1 because of the smallness, and now switching...having a Heck of a time DECIDING....why do I think I need a LEICA ? 5K... already tried a X-T2 for a weekend. I'll have to watch your "Photo Duel #9" let you know if you are having an influence on my decision process.... Great Videos!! 5 kids....that is quite a responsibility you and your wife are managing! That shows dedication and commitment.... Kudos!! Oh, there have been other cameras, lenses, systems....been @ it since CAMERA CLUB in grade 9.... LONG TIME.

    I'm really looking to get this camera for an everyday carry. Do you still like this camera now that you've spent some time with it after making this video?

    • @AndrewGoodCamera
      @AndrewGoodCamera  7 лет назад

      Yeah, it's a great camera. Although, I'd personally look at Fuji's new X-E3 first. Very similar package, but better native lenses.

    I don't have the same issue with the blackout time. About the same as every other mirror-less camera I have used A7II, Olympus and others. Maybe a setting was not ideal? Maybe you are use to a DSLR?

    Hi, would u recommend me to replace my 600D with 18-55mm and 55-250mm lenses to the M5 with a Tamron 16-300mm lense. I'm not a pro so the image quality wouldn't be a big concern for me. Thx anyway!

  • @justinholding02
    @justinholding02 7 лет назад +1

    Nice video. What did you think about the image quality?

    • @AndrewGoodCamera
      @AndrewGoodCamera  7 лет назад

      justin holding Nice and sharp. But not thrilled with the vignetting that all the EOS M lenses seem to have at even apertures you would not to expect to see them at.

    • @justinholding02
      @justinholding02 7 лет назад

      Yeah I agree the lens collection is pretty poor, unless you use the adapter and EF or EF-S lenses. This is what mainly put me off from buying this camera. I'm not so concerned about weather sealing, the 80D isn't really "weather sealed" either but It can definitely take a splash or two, there are rubber gaskets on all the main parts and I guess the rain wouldn't bother the M5 either.

  • @jennifermedia6288

    clever use of Behind the scenes in muted and beautiful shots and colours. So how is the M5. Im thinking of getting one today, please advise thanks

    Hi i'm interested in this camera. I'm newbie and curious about this :
    18-150mm when focal to 22mm, compare to efm 22mm lens, is the narrow/wide of the picture result will be the same, when taking picture in a same position. Thanks !

  • @heythere6983
    @heythere6983 7 лет назад

    Is the weather sealing that effective? I want to buy this or the 80d since it's the same for the most part and the 80d has weather sealing but I thought it was just for moisture. It's not waterproof right? Don't people buy certain plastic to put over their cameras when it rains? Can you actually be in a rainstorm and have the camera out and also don't you need to buy certain lenses that are also weatherproof because a normal lense could not hold up? I'm just asking so that I spend my money on the right thing. also is the size really that big of a deal, I feel like with that zoom lense it's not like you can squeeze all that in your pocket anyways, I feel like I would need a small bag, even if I just used 2 or 3 prime lenses.thanks!

    • @AndrewGoodCamera
      @AndrewGoodCamera  7 лет назад +1

      I don't claim to be an expert there, and it certainly depends on the body and brand. But I've taken my X-T2 out in rain many times and didn't feel worried at all. Once it was completely soaked as I was photographing kids on a waterslide and was fine. I can't speak for the 80d though. But the m5 probably wouldn't fair so well.

    How does the m5 compare to the fuji

    • @AndrewGoodCamera
      @AndrewGoodCamera  7 лет назад +3

      Given more time with it, I would have done a direct comparison. In short, M5 is a really great camera. But without weather sealing, there really isn't a contest for me. In addition, unless you have a lot of Canon L glass and plan to get the adapter, the Fuji X lenses just destroy the EOS M lenses. Fuji still wins, for me.

      @@AndrewGoodCamera There are certainly a lot more-not difficult-but I'd say the 32mm is at least as good as the 35mm Fujis and the 22m is on a par with the 23mm f2 and more importantly a lot smaller,The 11-22 is great too and athird of the cost of the equivalent Fuji
