- 👋 Time to make my wife's 2024 Audi RS3 sound amazing! Today I install the AWE SwitchPath exhaust system on our 8Y Audi RS3. I love how the RS3 has the unique inline 5 cylinder turbocharged engine. It has somewhat of a similar tone to a Lamborghini! No surprise since the 5 cylinder is derived from the V10 in the Gallardo and Huracan. So today I install the new exhaust for the 8Y Audi RS3 to give this sport sedan a louder exhaust tone! The SwithPath has a valve that connects to the factory unit and works with the drive modes. In Comfort mode driving conservatively the RS3 sounds pretty much stock. However once you give it just slight throttle you can hear the exhaust tone much better. When in RS Performance mode, the valve opens and the RS3 sounds awesome! I love having the best of both worlds form the stock-ish sounding exhaust, to a Lambo inspired sound! RS3 sounds so good with the new AWE exhaust system installed. This was a super easy kit to install and only took an hour or two. Fitment is perfect and was very easy and straight forward. Since the RS3 has exhaust tips built into the bumper, there was nothing hard about getting the alignment spot on. Very happy with the new AWE exhaust for the RS3 and this really is the perfect setup to get the Lambo V10 sounds out of the RS3! If you want even more of that, the Track version has no mufflers and really will wake it up! Loving the new exhaust on the RS3! Just what this fun car needed! This thing sounds amazing! Just recently I've been keeping back up with customized exhaust related items, just like I did back in the 90's. With you being young, you've trained yourself to be a guru at installing exhaust pipes, lol. If i ever need any exhaust modifications in the future may I hire you?

You should make a video on installing lowering springs on the 8y rs3 I own a 2022 and there is literally zero videos of install on a 8y that I’ve been able to find
I have that coming next week! We have H&R springs on our site and they are awesome! When that video goes up, I have a few special tools I used linked in the description along with the Springs. Took 4 hours and wasn't bad at all!

My wife also said her '19 Type R was too quiet. I tried to convince her to get the AWE exhaust, but she liked the Ark Performance. The Ark exhaust is effectively a straight pipe catback.

I started with the track pack version knowing that the conversion could be ordered if the drone was too much. That lasted about 3 days before I just could not tolerate an essentially open exhaust. However I had no desire for a "comfort" setting so I added the muffler to the driver side and kept the non-valved section on the other. This "hybrid" version between the two offerings is absolutely perfect.
Oh cool. So yours is basically this setup with my valve open? We like it a lot with valve open. No drone and nothing annoying. Sounds so good!
get a valve controller and you can open it full when you want to.

@@RedC63AMG I have the same exhaust the valve on the non muffled side is not on factory settings it opens as certain parameters are met.

I'd assume so since this does not interfere with any emissions equipment. I know we can ship it to California. Yes this is just a car back
One more question do you think this will make a big difference if I already have the option from Audi which is sport exhaust( not the stock one)
Not too sure, I haven't heard that one. But this with valve open has no muffler. So I'm sure this will still be a nice upgrade in sound over the sport kit

Couldnt justify this exhaust costing more than the APR, when the APR is "true dual" all the way, has only 4 slip on pipes, and costs hundreds less. Curious why you went AWE?
Love the unique tone AWE seems to give cars. Also it doesn't need to be true dual since it's an inline engine. Dual pipes won't do anything for the car. Less weight with one larger pipe and it keeps the engine tone more consistent all flowing together.
Does this void the warranty?
Nope. A cutback can't cause any damage to the car. A dealer would have to prove it caused an issue for them to void warranty on something that broke.
