He said the ride quality was so good that only 150k M5 CS could possibly rival it! Also said it's worth every penny and would have bought one if there weren't huge markups at the time!!
I'm flabbergasted to hear you say that you didn't think it was way better than the S3 out of the box lol! Also, this car is phenomenal in stock form, so you two are extremely picky buyers to even second guess such a well put together car imo!!😂
The steering and handling just felt so vague. S3 was a little go cart. This is still faster with better tech and refinements. But the S3 was more mechanical and felt shrunken around you. This felt bulky with the stock suspension and still doesn't steer as direct
Very true. The more we drive the older school sports cars, the more we like mechanical hydraulic steering. The new stuff is hit or miss if it feels direct or not

I'm kind of OK with that tho, under the context of it being a DD to do school runs and grocery stores. It's funny, I found your channel after I got my Supra and (have almost) convinced my wife to buy an RS3. If we wind up getting it, I guess I'll also be buying all the same stuff you get for the RS3 as well 🤣

It was faster than the M2CS even lol, so it handes way better then you imagine trust me! My friend has the Supra by the way so I know it's capabilites!
I got resonated short tails for my Infiniti G37 and was disappointed with how quite it was... Until I got some high flow cats for it! Sounded sooo much better! Love the Upgrade for the RS3 ❤️🔥😎

Do you have a valve controller on your RS3? And what rpm range does it drone when valves are open? And how much percentage increase in drone would you say when adding in the catless mids?
No valve controller. In comfort mode there isn’t any drone. If you keep things under 3k, it hardly sounds different than stock. Above 4k is when you hear it most. With valve opened, slow speeds is a bit of drone. But not much. So it’s the perfect blend.
@@BrosFOURRSpeed Are you thinking about adding a valve controller? You may already know that even in dynamic mode the valves aren't always open 100% of the time unfortunately. But the tradeoff might be even more added drone in the lower rpm range.
@@djb85 Probably not. I had it in the S3. Made a big difference since the valves pretty much only opened in high rpm regardless of drive more. This opens nicely in RS modes. So we like the blend

Yeah the new springs really helped dial in the handling. The FWD bias drivetrain makes the stock handling and steering feel pretty off and vague. The lower stance helps a ton!

Straight pipe full catless downpipes is needed to hear that beautiful 2.5 and nice stock turbo . I definitely see that the b58 is just the better sounding also
I had a Supra before and also will agree with the comments. The RS3 sounds way better and more unique. The only car that sounds like this is the V10 . But , I do miss the B58 platform and it sounds great
Sounds plenty loud now with the valve open. Any straight pipe mid pipe will work. I went with Unitronic. But there's other brands. All will be the same
For European models, there are 4 sensors attached to the cat pipes. I need special decat pipes to which those sensors can be connected for my Rs3 2023, otherwise the check engine will light up 😢
Nope. If you delete the primary cat you might smell a little bit of soot. But the secondary cats don't do much. Even on my old Supra and GTR that were straight piped completely, never really smelled anything
Nope. A dealer would have to price this part caused an issue. If I did a carless downpipe and something happened with the turbo or 02 sensors, then they may void warranty on those specific parts. But a dealer has to show the part you installed caused an issue.

Yeah and a 5 cylinder sounds very similar to a V10. I own a Gallardo and you can hear a very similar tone from these engines since they are almost derived from the same thing. The Lambo V10 is basically two of these 5 cylinders

We do. But they just do OBD port test. No visual inspection. So since there are no sensors on the secondary cats, nothings throws a code 😜
What percentage of sound increase came from exhaust vs mid pipe? Leaning towards keeping stock exhaust and just the mids
Maybe 20% more volume. I've heard people just do the midpipes and they alone add a good amount of sound

We don't have emission testing where I live, so I don't need to worry about that for an inspection.

Nothing Compares with 2015 -2016 sound RS3
Been a while since I drove one. But doesn't seem all too different. Midpipes brought out the V10 sound
The cast iron block CZGB engine is by far the best sounding 2.5 Audi made
