Holy cow that thing souds soo good! I own a different inline 5 cyl (VZ5) and i'm currently waiting for my tune (DP+IC+ECU tune) but man, i just can't have enough of that sound on videos & in real life :D
Great job on the 8y exhaust, sounds awesome, my 8y is fully stock but one day I’ll pull the trigger on a mod like this, thanks for you’re motivating video
Obviously it's going to sound a lot better on the outside, but in the interior, the RS3 already sounds perfect, even if it's amplified sounds from the speakers or just some fake sounds added in lol!! I'm only concerned about how it affects me from a driving standpoint, and guy's that owned the 8V says the new RS3 sounds better inside the car, which i find very impressive!!
Both. The AWE made the car sound very good. Then the midpipes just added a bit more volume when the valves are open. So this combo is the perfect setup
Looking to add a little more growl without much volume added to my new RS3. It's still totally stock, and I'll probably end up adding the intake, turbo inlet, FMIC and some other stuff down the road. But for now, I really wouldn't mind a little extra aggressive sound, and from what I understand, the midpipes are cheap, easy to install and do make a difference. Would You recommend it as a cheap mod to gain what I'm looking for?
Yeah here is our installation video on the midpipes. ruclips.net/video/jCjb_00xVRs/видео.html Link in the video description has them where you can order. Super easy and well worth the few hundred bucks. You'll get a good sound increase for sure
@@BrosFOURRSpeed okay great to hear. I was still watching your video just now and wow, the sound coming out of your car is perfect!! These days, people hear pops and bangs and regardless of how crappy the sound is, they think it sounds great. Kind of like the Elantra EN. I don't find it has a nice exhaust note at all. Very fart can, But it has those pops and bangs so everyone thinks it sounds great. My concern with getting a full exhaust system like you have was a lot of drone, and being way too loud and unpleasant. But you're set up, I mean 🤤 fantastic!! I was wondering if you're running the Arma speed intake in your video? I think you mentioned that you had 2 And I think you mentioned you had the arma speed installed but I wasn't sure. I also am being very careful about the intake I choose because I really don't love the super loud whoosh woosh fast and furious aftermarket sound. I know a lot of open intakes will do that. Especially the overrun blow off whoosh, which sounds too aftermarket for me. But I didn't hear any of that during your shoot. I don't know if the AWE exhaust drowned out the intake noise, or if it's just a more quiet subdued intake sound, But it all sounds fantastic together. And ultimately, are you running an Turbo inlet with the intake, or is it the AWE switch path exhaust, midpipes, and arma speed intake? Is that your current setup? Thanks again for the reply, And I'll definitely check out the stuff on your website for future mods.
@@Daveyboy_RS3 Yes just the intake, midpipes and Switchpath. No drone at all with this setup and valve closed. We love it! Has an amazing tone with valve open under throttle. And still toned down for daily driving. You’ll love these parts! We have the intake and exhaust on our website
Sounds good, but please be aware that the clamps that AWE provides are junk. People all over forums have had problems with AWE products leaking at the band clamps. Spend 300-400 dollars more and get a GRAIL exhaust imported from Germany. The GRAIL sounds better than this!
Thanks for the video. So you removed the two OPF(cats) and didn't need a remap? No engine lights? I was told there are sensors there and if you remove them they will be detected and a remap is needed. Is this not the case
Sounds amazing! Love your content mate. Random question, I have the same one as you and sometimes when I’m doing 60 miles and above (cruising in low RPM’s), and then give it significant throttle, it kind of just spasms almost - and will then lurch and then find its gear. I had this on my 2023 S3 too. Nobody seems to have an answer on this but I’m hoping a tune would fix it? Seems to be some sort of transmission defence mechanism?
Hmm, I know for me if I'm just cruising and then flor it, it will have to downshift into a much lower gear and then it accelerates very fast. So you might just be feeling the car downshifting aggressively
Just ordered the Switchpath for my 24, I already have the unitronic mid pipes installed.. Can't wait! Also, in regards to other people's comments about the AWE clamps, have you noticed any issues?
probably not. 8Ys are stupidly still selling over MSRP keeping value a bit high. Supras about a $53-55k car new, the 8Y is a $65-70k car new. Maybe if you find one with 25-30k miles on it
Depends on mileage. But our RS3, we paid $65k. Used market we could sell it for about what we paid. My manual Supra would probably sell for about $63k on the used market. An auto Supra can be bought anywhere from $45k+. So would depend
Depends on the dealer. We got ours for sticker. But it was an 18 month wait. Used market these go for about MSRP or $5k more. Manual Supra on the used market would be about this price
That's just the stock tuning and how it sounds with the exhaust setup. I'd assume these would all fit. But I'm not too sure. AWE doesn't ship outside USA and Canada. But I'm sure the midpipes you can find anywhere and they should fit both versions
How do you think a straight mid pipe setup with stock exhaust behind it would sound? Also would this setup pass emissions? Live in Cali so that’s important 😅
Should sound pretty nice overall! I'm not sure with California. Everything seems illegal there lol. Depends if your inspection person looks under the car or puts anything in the tail pipe to read the exhaust fumes
@@alqatary07 The stock intake you can hear it a bit. I added a valve adapter to connect the hose to the new intakes since the current intakes don’t have the same pipe as previous generation. But a new intake will add all the sound. Or you can get the diverter valve spacer
honestly, until we can get a downpipe, this car is far too quiet. The stock downpipes is choking the life out of the car. Waiting to pull the trigger on my 485 exhaust (3.5" to 3" exhaust) until we get full open capabilities. Sounds nice of course, just not rowdy enough.
@@BrosFOURRSpeed yeah...I will say your video tempts me to pull the trigger, even if its not 100% what I want at the moment...maybe Ill be happy with the volume *shrug*. Like I said though, it does sound good man!

I just picked up my 2024 RS3 a little over a month ago from Audi Charlotte.

@BrosFOURRSpeed Those midpipes help out on what you hear inside the car much, or was it mainly the actual exhaust system?

Removing the cats is a sure way to kiss the warranty good bye
I doubt that. There are no sensors in the secondary cats. So deleting them won't effect a single aspect of the car
