Also, the B&O sound system is really poor - someone took the speakers apart on a Forum and found mega cheap parts inside. It's a good car, but quality is not up to what you'd find in say an RS4 or RS5. Also, the drive select software is really glitchy, lots of owners found this including me. Took it back to Audi, a year later and still no software update to fix it! I'd dream a bit more if you want a decent Audi RS. Sold my RS3 now and got an RS4 Performance, so much better!
What just a tune and same different gas made this car get 125hp more??? With a stock turbo aswell, can't imagine what it could be with aftermarket performance parts.

I don't get why you guys don't get it. Had my new RS3 sportback for 9 months - tango red, full dynamic pack with ceramic brakes, full carbon pack... only thing that's a disappointment is the B&O sound system, it's not very good at all. Thankfully, I only tend to have the radio on when driving. Overall, it's a great daily and compliments my Cayman 718 GTS perfectly.
My opinion why this car can be 500HP but so slow is the tuning. The jb4 increases boost but not timing. So there’s a lot more HP under the curve after the torque peak, but as you climb in RPMs power flattens off because the timing tables can not be altered. Forgive me if I miss anything about Syvecs but once we get proper tuning this is going to destroy. Aftermarket is already pretty much there for these to run 1000HP, just need tunes. And TCU tunes, need LSD for that torque steer
I’ve found the best & most fun drive mode for auto X is the RS torque rear (drift mode) You get the car a little loose and drive it with the throttle and it just puts a big ol smile on your face!

As an owner of an 18 s5 cars are fun and all and pretty fast stovk...but audi reallly needs to step up tjeir game as far as what thry offer for hp torque and overal performance from factory for the prices AUDI is demanding. I wont even start on the service dept scams. Literally been thinking on riding the s5.
510hp at the wheel equals 135 horse over stock? I'm trying to figure how, 401 hp stock would make that 109 extra hp, unless you're talking about at the wheel but 135 more hp would equal 375 horse at the wheels which definitely isn't correct when accounting for driveline losses.
Obviously it doesn’t make “401hp” to the crank in stock form. You really think it makes exactly 401? The car has been tested making 377whp/355wtq (lb-ft of course) on a dynojet. Not crank, it’s wheel. You don’t know the drivetrain losses anyways and it doesn’t matter when some cars are making more to the wheels than they are rated at the crank. It’s not regulated
This car made 365whp on our dyno bone stock on 91 octane. It’s a fairly efficient awd system so I don’t typically attach a huge drive train loss on the top of bigger power cars
@@hankiroz2592 Audi underrates their numbers. It probably makes 420 or so at the crank in actuality. I’m guessing the 135 is up from about what iroz got on their dyno to the wheels.
I don't believe it has 510whp. My uni stage 1+ 8v has higher trap speeds and runs 11.4 1/4 on mile on un prepped surface with 530 Crank hp advertised on E30 blend without any additional hardware installed.
I am well aware of how awesome the DCT in these cars are and how appropriate they are for the car... but if they offered the new RS3 in a manual transmission with the new rear diff, I'd have one sitting in my garage right this second.
when you are using jb4 some data will be saved in cars ecu like overboost etc, so dealer might see you were using tuning box or mechanical modifications.
@@stealthhtm23No, not cap. It’s true, it still throws a TD1 code. I wouldn’t worry about it unless your engine blows up and you try to rely on your warranty. Still, shouldn’t happen if your engine was built right at the factory
So far there has yet to be a single TD1 issue on the JB4 if the box is removed before service or warranty. The box is also the same across B9/B9.5 3.0T vs the 2.5T. Just need a firmware update. I don’t know much about the RS3 but I’d be willing to bet it can’t touch an unlocked s58 M2! This Audi seems to have extensive mods. An M2 with just Downpipes and an ecu tune will be well North of 700 hp. Dollar to dollar the two cars aren’t even on the same planet. Again, I do not know shit about the RS3 or any Audi for that matter.
Mate- you just embarrassed yourself You should educate yourself - RS3’s are weapons tuned. Even the most highly tuned Porsche Turbo S’s will lose from a dig against a full frame turbo RS3 - get it now?
M2’s are not even remotely close to tuned RS3’s - they are running flat 3’s in the US In fact, no bmw stands a chance against that full stop Sorry to deliver you bad news

Now the Beemers all have x-drive with the magical B58/S58. The RS3 sedan is an awesome little sedan and I also once looked at one before buying my M235i a good few years ago 🤭. The JB4 when removed should technically not void your warranty. Any proper ECU/TCU tune will void the warranty though.
So Im building a 06 a3 3.2 turbo Quattro. 500hp vs 500hp what faster a3 3660lb vrs a rs3 maybe a little lighter
Can i ask what stock 1/8mile it did?
RS3 > M2 all day
Super dope car!
The odds, literally just typed "audi RS3" into the search bar lmao
idk what to pick g87 m2 or rs3.... i know the m2 has better potential but stillllll
Stock can already do 3.3
Not at over 2000ft above sea level, at over 4000DA and 79 degrees, it can't, lol.
And then the M2 is tuned like this and then it destroys nothing 😂
Only one way to find out...

About the same numbers for my TTRS.
I may have missed it, but what is this car lowered on?
Some simple KW's
I am well aware of how awesome the DCT in these cars are and how appropriate they are for the car... but if they offered the new RS3 in a manual transmission with the new rear diff, I'd have one sitting in my garage right this second.
I like to call you guys the vocal minority. I salute you.
The dealer definitely knows if u are running a jb4 dont be dumb
IROZ is saying they got it up to 500 HP but there isn't anything on their site that is for sale to replicate what they are saying in this video.
I'm wo during the fitment of the wheels
What exhaust does this have on it?
a custom titanium exhaust
I hope your not talking about the g87 m2
How do you shift in manual mid drift while countersteering? They shouldn't have changed the shifter to that nub in my opinion 🤷
I agree with you on that, but you can just get the bolt on extended paddles, not ideal but it helps
Running RS4 tires 🤔
A little caveat with your title - should mention in stock form. B58 tuning potential is insane.
You can get the RS3 to over 1000hp and into the high 7's. Iroz makes monster RS3's
Absolutely. Tuned vs. tuned is an endless game. This RS3 next to a stock M2 is quite quicker
Joke’s on you because the M2 doesn’t have a B58. I still think M2 > RS3, though
M2 has never had a B58
when you are using jb4 some data will be saved in cars ecu like overboost etc, so dealer might see you were using tuning box or mechanical modifications.
🤣🧢
@@stealthhtm23No, not cap. It’s true, it still throws a TD1 code. I wouldn’t worry about it unless your engine blows up and you try to rely on your warranty.
Still, shouldn’t happen if your engine was built right at the factory
So far there has yet to be a single TD1 issue on the JB4 if the box is removed before service or warranty. The box is also the same across B9/B9.5 3.0T vs the 2.5T. Just need a firmware update. Ran the same jb4 box on B9 s5, sq5, rs5 and my rs3 8Y. Warranty work with no issues or TD1 on any of those vehicle till the day I sold them.

Yeah, you didn’t say you don’t know anything about these Audis for us to realize you know nothing about these Audi’s… we could tell by your statements
@@ElyciusM No I actually did say! 🤣 Maybe your computer is slow too!

You should educate yourself - RS3’s are weapons tuned. Even the most highly tuned Porsche Turbo S’s will lose from a dig against a full frame turbo RS3 - get it now?
Smoke an M2 with 9.6 seconds 100 - 200 ?
Lol, restart and try again.
M2’s are not even remotely close to tuned RS3’s - they are running flat 3’s in the US
In fact, no bmw stands a chance against that full stop

@@dash-kt7uf I am referring to the slow one in the video. According to the DATA 📊.
Not here to generalise, there is nothing special about either of them in that world - more money = faster car.
I don’t care who is running what, this arse3 is not smoking any M2 with that slow 100 - 200 km/h time.
Should it be faster ? Probably yes , maybe bad fuel , maybe bad tuner - who knows.
So you know how fast tuned RS3’s are though?
@@dash-kt7uf So, “do” you know how fast a tuned anything is ? 🙄
If you are trying to substantiate your biased view of the RS3 as being superior to BMW then no.
The only reason (and I’m talking normal street users here - stockish - stage 2) it had an advantage over the F-Series from a dig was because of the 4wd.
On a roll they were dogs versus the 6 cylinders unless they had serious work. Just like the Golf R, Gti’s, S3’s …
There is nothing really special about its motor, I prefer the V6 in the RS5 😏.
Now the Beemers all have x-drive with the magical B58/S58.
The RS3 sedan is an awesome little sedan and I also once looked at one before buying my M235i a good few years ago 🤭.
The new M2 Comp should be xdrive - mod for mod it should be a good 1/4 mile slog between the two.
I’m not talking about 3 - 5 second cars here - just ones that the average petrol head will drive around.
Yes I do, sorry to embarrass you
But is it reliable? I've read modified Audis don't last long.
Is that what bmw boys in the repair shop told you?
@dash-kt7uf not really. Just read a few post where people had bad experiences. I guess you get what you pay for.
Depends who does the work. I had a ABT RS4 tuned to 588bhp. Had it 2 years, did 28,000 miles. Zero problems, none.

@@michaelhumel4288Audis are reliable now. Same as newer BMW’s. Just stay away from 4 cylinder cars.

Just maintenance. Definitely my best daily driver I’ve had and I’ve had over 100 plus cars in my 51 years.

You can't compare with a car costing twice as much and twice the power. I'd still take an RS3 over any Tesla, horrible things.
60-130 time is a joke. 9.6s is maybe 420-430 crank HP, 510 WHP is an exaggeration. JB4s are known to not be very effective but this is very disappointing. You aren’t watching enough videos clearly then. Lightly modded RS3s get smoked by Plaids. The entry level IMS850 beats Plaids, iMS1000+ smokes Plaids…
Plaid has as much personality as a door frame. More to cars than just speed, theatre for one. Plaid costs a shit load more too 🤦
Tuned rs3’s walk plaids, while still being cheaper. A plaids tuning potential is weight saving. Still getting smoked by ICE for less money, while simultaneously having a worse interior. Plaid kids are the hellcat kids from 8 years ago.
@@ElyciusM Strongly disagree. We all "should" know what it takes to reach plaid 1/4 mile and 60-130 speeds as well as cost. Its surely not just a simple "tuned" rs3 that is for sure, mind you I've been there and had both. A lot goes into them to run 9's let alone low 9's and the ability to run 4's 60-130. Most "tuned" rs3's and maybe can run 10's on a stock motor, no bolt ons etc... Tuned, bolt on, injectors and ethanol 10's all day.
