Michael King Which kinda adds to the theory because Mulan became a warrior for the sake of her father and Ren seemed to have become a hunter for the sake of his village and father.
Chogahoffa5619 :p If I remember the Nuckelavee really does look like the one in RWBY except the horns and grimmy appearance but instead its the definition pure horrors, its body is flesh literally inside flesh.
Actually it's worse than that because he missed a big opportunity to mention something that's relevant to this video as a speculation video: Achilles dies in The Iliad, but in The Odyssey he comes back as a ghost. Odysseus, as part of his wandering journey all over the world to try and get home after the great war that the Greeks won, at great cost, but in which Achilles died, eventually sails all the way to the land of the dead, and there he meets Achilles' spirit and they have a conversation about Achilles' life and death, and how Achilles feels about death, and Odysseus is able to tell Achilles how things have turned out since he was gone. Interestingly, Odysseus is 'the strategist' of Achilles' team, who they always turned to to come up with clever tricks to win their battles when brute force wouldn't work. Right now, Jaune is on a long journey far from home, and he is the strategist of team JNPR. I think this points strongly in the direction of Jaune getting to talk to Pyrrah at least one more time before the story is over.
I'm putting my money on Nora becoming the winter Maiden Her grandmother( too old to be her mother) frigga is also the name for the mother of Thor Rooster Teeth probably wanted to use that as a plot twist and sense just saying winter will become the maiden would redundant.
Nope. Nope. Nora isn't dying. Nope. Nora isn't dying on my hands. Nope. Nope. Nope. If Nora dies I go down to the RoosterTeeth workplace and kick someone's ass. Noope. Nooooooooooooope.
@@j.j1916 Does he have to? A mechanical syringe-like stinger could pop out of his tail and inject anything Tyrian stabs with his natural scorpion faunus poison.
Well if they "we're" to kill off Ren it might go like this. Nora has just died (by poison or something else who knows she's dead) and Ren overcome with grief takes his weapons and charges at the enemy. In his blind rage he plans on taking down as many enemies as possible and eventually gets fatally wounded, drags his dying body next to Nora and dies at her side. Basically it's suicide by the enemy.
Yea, especially because of the ending in volume 4, Ren was going to charge back at in and probably get himself killed, but it was Nora who stopped and calmed him down. With Nora dead, there is no one alive who can stop Ren from charging recklessly at the enemy
In contrary to everyone else i agree with bigtopfreakshow. Imagine the jumping in front of an arrow/lightning/magic projectile thing scene where Nora is about to be killed but Ren takes the bullet for her.
Not saying that I think this theory will happen, but you could definitely build a subplot out of this towards the end of the show potentially. Some side thoughts: - Jaune's death via fire could be a bit more abstract than just a literal fire, such as the example given of burning to death. It could be an explosion or some such. Something like (using this just for an example) an airship crashing into the ground and detonating. - Nora's death is pretty spot on in my opinion, if this theory were actually true. The battle, a.k.a Ragnarok, could be towards the series end where everything might have gone to shit and she dies to venom or poison. - Ren's death could, like Jaune's, be less literal than the actual tale. The act of "taking his life" could be less about turning his guns on himself, but more about resigning himself to death. Something like the "Ragnarok" battle ending in a pyrrhic victory or defeat/tactical withdraw and Ren, after witnessing the death of Nora (and potentially Jaune depending on when the deaths take place), resigns himself to staying back and buying time for a select group of our good-guy cast to escape. As a note, it might not just be Ren that stays to buy time, but for the purpose of my thoughts on the matter, I only included him. As I said at the top, I don't believe that this theory would happen, but it would be interesting to see if it did.
DatCameraMON I think the theory on Nora and ten is quite possible. But for Jayne I dont think he would go with something as lame as a plane crashing unless there was a battle on the ship that caused it to crash
@@screamingattrees8422 Maybe all of JNR dies while buying RWBY time. Tyroin kills Nora, an enraged Ren gets himself killed and Jaune is left to suffer until Cinder kills him
Although not historically accurate, I feel like it’d be interesting to see Jaune die from using his semblance, like he uses all his aura to heal someone. I love Jaune but seeing Jaune w/ Pyrrha again would be lovely
@@damienbailey227 underwhelming. He may aswell drop the sword and shield and just he a healer/strategist. I feel like Ren and Juane should swap semblance, weapons and skills.

This is late, but, I think if RT decides to go with the more “happy” route, instead of dying, the rest of JNPR could get critically injured or crippled by the same means as their mythological counterparts, and Ren, doing what he could, goes home and takes care of them as they live out the rest of their days.
Or hear me out here, maybe just maybe Monty used all these mythical heroes as inspiration and never intended to 100% copy those old stories. Pyrrha being shot in the heel was a nice reference to Achilles, however she didn't die from the arrow being poisoned and/or the arrow causing her to fall down from a great distance.
Yeah tbh they're so much more interesting than team RWBY. Like rwby's whole thing is just Hi I'm ruby i'm a crazy good fighter that everyone underestimates because of my innocent appearence Hi I'm weiss i'm rich and have a family corrupted by richness Hi I'm blake I have a dark past and I'm an emo Hi I'm yang and I have anger issues that's like my whole character
I was so convinced that Jaune will be the last of jnpr slowly growing his armor till he has a full set. Adding more as the rest of jnpr dies. Towards the end he burns his old clothes and takes up the mantle of Juniper. Burning away Jaune and just becoming a living memory. Aiding hunters and huntresses
Actually, I had a theory that the "prophecy" in Joan of Arc's story has a parallel in RWBY; Everyone's interest in Jaune. Think about it, all the senior characters in the show seem to think Jaune has a lot of potential; yet we've yet to really see it develop at all and there's little evidence yet to support it. What if there's a similar story/prophecy about the Arc's or ,more likely, Jaune specifically?
I still believe Jaun's great grandfather the "hero" is the warrior that is pictated in the stone statue in one of the season openings (season 3 if i remembe correctly) that statue is of a warrior using a sword and a shield (only jaun uses this weapon and its a hand down from that hero of his family) and there is another person apart of that staue which looks like a women kinda shaped like summer or rwby could be her great grandmother or great great grandmother, who was a silver eye'd warrior that saved the world and Jaun's great grandfather was that great hero warrior whom protected the silver eye'd hero. Also with the recent developments with Tyerian having intrest in jaun, I believe he knows the Arcs just from looking at jaun he reconizes something. I believe the Arcs may have one of the "relics" that cinder and Salem mention. I believe Ozpins staff is one of the relics as well. Maybe Jauns Sword is a relic. That would have a sword/shield and a staff, we could also maybe see a dagger and a bow as two more relics. or even a sycthe.
I mean we know hes strong as hell.... He freaking caught a Ursa swing... And it has nothing to do with Pyrrha moving his shield that was just placement... but he catches the hit with almost not budging at all and then one swing takes its head off.... If that isn't strength then I don't know what is... oh and he is actually a decent leader. His team and him are very cohesive and they trust him enough to do what he ask when he makes a call.
Killik HiveMind it doesn't take much strength to stop and kill an ursa. he was also fighting a mega ursa not an ursa. anyone could have done what he did, in fact they would have been able to do it better and quicker than him in fact
I've seen him develop a lot I don't know what you're talking about. I don't have to point it out it's just obvious when you pay more attention to him than ruby.
SillySaurus true but at the same time if no one else ever dies Pyrrha setting up anyone can die may ring hollow. Its difficult to balance the issue when a duertagonist is killed off. No one wants their favourite character to die but if everyone seems invulnerable then tension is lost, it's tricky

i wanna see yang rip off his leg, beat him with it, grab him by the neck, choke slam him so hard the back of his skull breaks, look him in the eye and say 'well, guess you could say everything that happened cost us... İt might be. but ever since Pyrrha died, I kind of can't accept deaths any more. Team RWBY is awesome and favorite. But Pyrrha, Qrow and Ren are also my favorites, Pyrrha died, Qrow's dying, and that leaves only Ren. So what am I supposed to do?)
I haven't read other comments before, but now that I did, I see many other people have the same idea. not about Ren, but about one more death. Besides, this might sound really stupid, but I'm hoping for Pyrrha's resurrection. How can you make a theory about the deaths of whole Team JNPR.)
Pyrrha is never coming back. The creators already confirmed this and they also said that Monty had plans to kill her off eventually anyway. I mean when the show first started most of us knew she was gonna kick the bucket eventually and she did and since Pyrrha was inspired by Achilles, it was really fitting to see her die in the same way Achilles did.
Divine_Wrath first the writers said that they won't confirm anything yet in afterbuzz. including pyrrha's death. jen brown said her fate was planned. fate doesn't necessarily mean death. her death was predictable and boring. that's the problem. I called pyrrha's death in volume one so by the time it happened it was really disappointing than anything else. I don't get how it fits with her and achilles. is it because they're both the "best"? but other than that pyrrha and achilles were both different when it came to personality.
I think that Jaunes story will definitely end up with an encounter with fire even if it doesn't result in his death. The main characters are obviously team RWBY but you'll always notice that Jaune is thrown into the mix as well, he seems to be on the same kind of level as Ruby, and will probably continue to be a key player in the story. So far Jaune seems to be loosely following the 'Hero's Journey' and one of the later stages is getting revenge for the death of their mentor if I recall correctly. Sadly it is Pyrrha's death in this case, and who was the one that killed her? Cinder. Cinder's powers, before receiving the maidens powers, was definitely fire related and I feel that Jaune's destiny which lies with fire, lies with a battle with Cinder.
Jaune - Burned alive by Cinder Nora - Stung by Tyrian's regrown tail OR killed by Cinder or Salem Renn - Revenge for Nora's death but killed by Cinder or Salem I was thinking about Watts, Hansel (that buff dude), Emerald and Mercury but I don't think that they are that insane or evil to kill a character unless given the task by Salem to kill. And if Ruby were to be in the same battle whereby her teammates die, she might do that silver eyes bs and kill everyone in the room, possibly even Qrow.
8:01 Weren't Ren's parents shown on screen in Volume 4? Like, the guy that dies to the beast is his dad right? I agree he's an orphan but he knew his parents.
I believe that JNPR's deaths will not be as sad as those of the stories. You see, Jaune is an essential character to the story, he is the first friend that Ruby made, so Roosterteeth won't kill him off, if they do, then sure, they will want to leave as great an impact as possible. But they can't just kill him off. The Cardin theory is a good idea, and, had I not have recently re-watched volume one, I would believe it, however, Jaune saved Cardin from An Ursa, so the only way I feel that Cardin would kill Jaune, would be if it was a "me or him" situation, where if Jaune didn't die, Cardin would. And as for the Ren and Nora theory, that I believable, however, Ren and Nora clearly have complex back stories, Roosterteeth will want us to know about them. And Roosterteeth have revealed that characters will form relationships, as well as be LGBTQA+, Ren and Nora will be part of that, they may not die for another few seasons. If anyone dies in this volume, it will most likely be Qrow. if you've read this far then well done.
Phil's Eyelash jaune will probably die when there's nothing left of him to develop. Nora and ren are most likely going to die. mostly Nora though. I'd disagree with you about their backstories being complex it's rather predictable. I called pyrrha's death in volume one. I called penny's death in volume 2. so I'm going to say this right now: Nora is next to die. when it happens don't tell me I didn't warn you.
@@kurtisvandermiller4507 jaune is still with us, how long he lasts is unknown. I thiiiink he'll outlive nora but I don't expect death yet, at least not juanes till volume 8 or 9.
Call me what you want, but by far this is my favourite RWBY theory and I sorta hope it becomes canon. Don't get me wrong, I love JNPR and seeing especially Ren and Nora die would make me cry, but it's because of that that I want it to come true. I want a story that will move me, even if it means my favourite characters dying. Ps. I'd rather have my favourite character die a great death than fade off into something lame.
For me, the most likely death out of all the main characters is unfortunately Nora. Joan's story is around the loss of his team and would be explored further with the death of another teammate. You then come to Qrow, Nora and Ren as the most likely death candidates. Qrows death would only affect Ruby and Yang directly but I don't think it is his time just yet, he has some things to explain to us still most likely such as Rubys silver eyes. Then you come to Ren and Nora; out of the two of them, Nora's death would probably have a bigger impact on Ren then anyone else. Season 4 finale saw Ren go mad when Nora got hurt while Nora was more collected as Ren was almost throwing himself at the grimm to die
Definitely an interesting theory. If it would end up like that, who can really say. I personally like the idea since it is going to be darker then usual. And having some important deaths would end up doing that. All I would care about if it has decent writing into it.
EruptionFang Indeed. And with the current episode, we are about to get the arc where we get to learn more about Nora and Ren. So we are definitely going to get some build up on that. And if it's going to be like anything like Pyrah's death, then it's going to be tragic.
actually......there is some hint in opening music.... at season 2 ...have Quote "Time to say good bye" at pyrrha scene and at season 3 there is something like all of JNPR falling away.... start with Pyrrha then the other 3.......at "Falls".......... so they already plan it all out though.
I'm legitimately scared right now Spoilers for the latest episodes So not only his Tyrien on the loose, it's also highly likely that he's going to try to kill Oscar, who we _know_ JNR is protecting, and if something happens to Nora it'll set of Rens death theory too. And CINDERS THERE TOO, and we don't know if Jaune is over his whole 'get revenge' thing. I know that it's unlikely that any of this will happen, but remember the _last_ time we got a highly-anticipated ship!!!??? Edit: I've never felt so glad to be so wrong! ....Ren still got the rough end of things though
I think it's doubtful that they'll just kill off their characters for poetic justice. It's more likely that if they die, it'll be in a way that serves the plot of the show, like Pyrrha's did. She obviously had to die at that point in order to bring the weight of the story down on the audience. Otherwise, I don't think we would have really been able to appreciate what happened with this show. Similarly, it's unlikely that any of the other JNPR members will die because it doesn't service the plot. We kinda need them because we relate to them and feel their grief. Especially Jaune. He's the one we primarily relate to I think, so if he/they did die, it'd have to be at the end of the show's run.
Pyhrra was complete bullshit. Nora? Sure. Juane? Please no, but I'd accept it. But Ren? I fucking swear rooster teeth, if you kill fucking Ren. Also, I like the dark souls 3 music.
You're talking about death and you used the music from the _Dark Souls 3_ title screen in the beginning... Don't you think that's just a little ironic?
PG21justus - he was talking about the deaths of various characters and _Dark Souls_ is a game where death plays a big role in both the gameplay (because difficulty) and the story (because the PC is literally a zombie)
Epicmonk117, go to Google right now and search up the definition of irony. Then come back and post that said definition and see if it matches up with his use. Then explain why it does or does not match the correct definition. I'd do it for you but this is a learning experience.
PG21justus Google gives 3 definitions for irony: 1.) The expression of one's meaning by using language that normally signifies the opposite, typically for humorous or emphatic effect. 2.) A state of affairs or an event that seems deliberately contrary to what one expects and is often amusing as a result. 3.) A literary technique, originally used in Greek tragedy, by which the full significance of a character's words or actions are clear to the audience or reader although unknown to the character. This use of _Dark Souls_ music follows the second definition - most people would expect somber music to go along with this _grave_ (haha punz) topic. However, he instead used an intense orchestral symphony from a game that's all about death - your character is a zombie in a world out to kill him and he must kill hundreds of other zombies, constructs, and demons to gather the souls he needs to progress.
Epicmonk117 Epicmonk117 Epicmonk117 So, your claim that it is humorus that the topic of the potential death of said characters was given a nice background song from a game all about death and loss. Not only that but the song is out of place, given dark souls is a brutal hellscape where many a seasoned gamer felt the loss of hard work and loneliness. By your choice of using the second defenition, 'a state of affairs or an event that seems deliberately contrary to what one expects and is often amusing as a result:' you imply that a sonata written to give that feel of loss and cold embrace of death is not fitting to a video all about a video titled "The JNPR Death Theroy". Does the topic of the living members possible grisly deaths not fit the subject matter that constitutes this kind of song? Or even humorous if it doesn't belong like your argument is based on? Maybe if a more up beat song like an instrumental version of "Bullet" by Hollywood Undead was played during Ren's portion your stance could hold some water, but the song choosen was very fitting based on the second correct definition of the word irony.
I dont want any member of JNPR dying. If they do, I hope Jaune won't. I dont know why, but I like Jaune as a character. I want him to be one of the greatest huntsman in the future
Jaune, in my opinion, is the character the audience can relate to the most. He is effectively what would happen if any one of us woke up in Remnant and was told we would train to be a Huntsman. Jaune is intentionally set up to be weak in the beginning because it makes him the perfect foil for all the other characters. Where characters like Ruby, Weiss and Pyrrha are characters who have combat experience and have unlocked their semblances, Jaune is a character who has just started out, requiring training just to keep up with his peers, which is where Pyrrha comes in. She becomes somewhat of a mentor figure to Jaune, guiding him on his journey to become a Huntsman. Even in death (cry) Pyrrha continues to guide Jaune, be it a recording taken of her back at Beacon or when Jaune saw her statue in Argus, inspiring him to never give up and to always stand by those who would stand by him. Effectively, Jaune Arc is what should be expected when writing the Hero's Journey storyline.
well, when we first heard that he was an orphan, everyone thought it was him that had his parents killed then taken in by Nora and her family when really it was swaped
Anybody remember in volume 3 when the theme song was playing and everybody from team RWBY and team JNPR was in a circle eventually Pyhrra fell and then Jaune, Nora, and lastly Ren could that be the events in which they die?
Wait a second... so would Pyrrha be Achilles following this, as she was seemingly unkillable but was taken down by an arrow? Cause I saw the Greek on the thumbnail.
@@bravobird9435 That's not it at all. Achilles bathed in the River Styx, where he had to focus on one point of him to remain his mortal point, his heel, and gained super human abilities, but when he wasn't fighting, he was sleeping. Achilles took an arrow to the heel and died from that wound. No other hit could affect him, but he was shot in his mortality point, so he died from that.
@@demoninajar5332 Actually. The arrow he took to his heel was poisoned, and it was delivered by Paris, who was in turn guided by Apollo. He didn't die because of the wound itself. A shot to the heel is hardly a huge deal, be it a mortality spot or not.
@@Iucigao You both are talking in the different versions, the original version had him die to the arrow in his heel because the mother had to hold him by his heel when bathing him in the River of Styx.
@@victoriaalpha4986 I'm Greek, I grew up with these stories. What matters is that Achilles died because he was struck in his vulnerable spot (which, like you correctly added, was vulnerable because his mother held him from there) with a poisoned arrow. That's it. A simple wound in the heel wouldn't be enough to kill any human.
I hate you so much you made me cry when you got to Renn because he is my favorite character (besides wiess) and he and Nora and everyone else in the RWBY community don't need another juahn (I know that is not how you spell it sorry ) and phyrra moment if you know what I mean
Kiki TheWarrior THEN YOU SHOULD KNOW THAT HE IS WRONG ABOUT RENN, RENN KNEW HIS PARENTS THEY JUST DIED WHEN HE WAS A LITTLE KID. IT WAS NORA THAT DIDN'T KNOW HER PARENTS AT ALL
I cant see Ren committing suicide but I could see him choosing to risk his life for another. He would be the one to lay down his life for Nora, possibly dying trying to protect her, or the two may end up in a situation kind of like the episode of Futurama with the space bees. Ren is run through by a big poisonous Grimm or possibly Tyriann, but Nora receives all the poison. She avenges his death but then falls to the poisoning shortly after.
I think either: 1. Nora dies protecting Ren and Ren kills himself 2. Ren dies protecting Nora and she goes on basically a rampage, killing Villians and/or Grim and avenges Ren, but like the theory, she dies from poison while killing Tyrian or a poisonous grim.
carso1500 Exactly! I don't get why people don't understand that RWBY and JNPR are their own unique characters with just the barest of a hint of the character's they were based on.
Lucas VerBeek if anything it should be an easter egg. something that doesn't effect much. I mean just think about it. why did Nora die? is it something about her character? no something intrinsic to the story? no why? oh she's just based on thor that's all sounds dumb if you ask me. and let me tell you predictable=boring one of the reasons why I hate pyrrha's death. it was way too predictable.
Pyrrha was probably my favorite character in the series but I didn't even flinch when she died because I knew since Volume 1 that she was going to die. Everything about her screamed "KILL ME"
This theory was okay but we know now that Lie Ren had parents and was orphaned because they died in kuroYuri so theory for Lie Ren debunked? Also Lie X Nora 👌
Service Dog Alex no not quite. In mulans story she went to war for her father. And in rwby ren became a huntsmen to fight Grimm to protect people so they dont die the way his father did
This makes a lot of sense. Imagine a final battle in nine or ten or something. Maybe on the front of Salem castle. I can see Tyrian killing Nora, resulting in Ren killing himself, maybe after mortally wounding tyrian. Then, Jaune might get a hit on Cinder, which pisses her off so much that she burns him alive. After that, I can definitely see Ruby becoming incredibly distraught and maybe "supercharging" her eyes, then going inside and freezing salem. That's entirely speculative, but it sounds cool.
... How can you have a happy sounding outro after talking about death ;w; This is a really nice video though. Learning more about the characters they're inspired by/based off of is awesome!
I doubt that any of these characters would die in a way like the video describes, simply because they seem too dark (especially the death of Ren) If these characters are destined to die in a specific way, then who was Pira based on, and what connection does her death have with her previous incarnation? Since Pira was not covered, he seems to be basing this on pure speculation which makes me very skeptical of the validity of this video.
pyrrha is based on Achilles, Achilles moments before his death was struck in his heel (hence the term Achilles heel), same went for pyrrha, struck in the heel before being killed off
Fair point. Just rewatched the fight between Pirates and main bad girl (can't remember her name) and the fight was over as soon as Pirates was shot in the heel. Well played :)
I think if this theory turns out to be true which it has a high likelihood to because of the fabulous writer that is Miles Luna … I'm gonna be left broken
Lucas VerBeek I Think Gray Haddock (hope I got that right) said that they want RWBY to be to be able to viewable by pretty much all age groups. They wanted RWBY to be able to tackle darker subject matters but not immerse itself in being dark for the sake of being dark.
"When I try to research... I get redirected to Thor: Ragnarok, the movie" THAT MOVIE HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH ACTUAL RAGNAROK! It's about a clone or some shit that couldn't be further from the story/Myth. Also fun little side note: Ragnarok is also referred to as 'The Twilight of the Gods'
Jaune, I think will be killed by Cinder due to her Fall maiden ability to control fire (also Jaune may want vengeance for Pyrrha) I think that Nora will die fighting the Wyren (the grimm dragon). It's clearly the worst of all the monsters, it's reptilian, it may not be poisonous, but maybe she'll die from blood loss or exhaustion instead. As for Ren, I just don't see him killing himself. Maybe instead he will sacrifice himself or the greater good, probably after Nora's death
it is possible that noras death could leave ren to commit suicide. in volume 7 when neo looked like nora team JNPR (and oscar) were fighting her and when ren went to hit he saw her face (that looked like nora) so he didnt hit her even though he knew it wasnt her he didnt attack and we later see ren crying this could mean that he cares about nora so much that just the thought of her dying brings him to tears. i think nora dies before ren and he then kills himself to be with her
With Salem's story being told now...if Nora dies, Ren accepts it and lets her go. Somehow this speaks to Salem to learn the importance of life? That and Jaune does sacrificing his life someway. Both these options show sacrifice, something Salem couldn't do
One thing that confuses me is why is it only JNPR death theories? Just because Pyrrha was killed doesn't mean Jaune, Nora and Ren will die soon as well. If there are theories for JNPR then there has to be some RWBY as well right? Just because they're based off fairytales doesn't mean they'll definitely live in the end
jen shaw well.... miles and kerry said that pyrrha died because of her inspiration/meaning in RTX Q and A when a person asked them what they have to say for the criticisms over pyrrha's death. don't get me wrong I agree with you but that seems to be the case. and I don't like it
Because all of team JNPR's namesakes died of unnatural causes in their stories. I don't recall little red riding hood having a tragic death, but then again I only know one version of that story
Oh god and Cinder is fire...oh dear, poor Jaune. Well hopefully it'll be seasons later and not this season. I just want Jaune to prove himself before he dies at least. And I want Ren and Nora to given more character development before they die too.
In Nora's last moments, Ren holds her in his arms, tearing up. She struggles to raise her arm, and weakly presses a finger against his nose. "Boop" She says, one last time...
It's worth noting that the creators have said that they're not really trying to recreate the stories their characters are based on. It's more about starting with a familiar base and doing something new with it. That doesn't mean they're not all going to die, but it's something to consider.
Joshua Plyman here's the thing though. why would you care about the character if you already know they're going to die nonetheless? that makes them tools
I think you're thinking to much into it. It could actually be pretty simple. •Jaune dies by fire through cinder most likely ending up in a huge fiery explosion, ending Jaune, and Cinder, and avenging Pyrrha. •Nora will most likely die by a giant king taijitu, as Tyrian had his stinger cut off(I don't think scorpions can regenerate their limbs) •And as for Ren I think you're pretty spot on, that actually sounds like it could happen. And before any of these deaths occur I'll make sure to surgically remove my tear ducts so I won't drown myself in any of my own tears.
What I think Jaune: death by being captured by Salem (Joan’s capture) Nora: death by Tyrian or final battle (Thor fight with the snake) Ren: death by protecting Nora (Mulan protecting her father)
The Tyrian part of this theory I can counter. Scorpions hold poison in their tail at the sharp end. Ruby cut that off, which means Tyrian has lost his poison.
I could see some of these deaths happening, particularly Nora and Juane’s. I see Ruby and Juane fighting against Cinder together and Juane dying to give Ruby a chance to finish her, similar to how Joan of Arc was a martyr for her cause. Similarly Nora could be fighting Tyrian and while she manages to win, she still gets poisoned by his new tail. Not sure were I’d put all the other characters yet.
I can’t see the current writers going this cool route of killing off JNPR in the same matter as their source material counterparts. They just don’t have the same vision in mind as Monty did. It’s similar to Game of Thrones, two different visions despite similar outcomes (as far as we know). But for the sake of coming up with something cooler than current Rooster Teeth ever will, here’s what I predict/want to happen in the RWBY story. Team JNPR: (Minus Pyrrha) Jaune: In an effort to protect everyone he loves, he combats Cinder but his severely burned by her and dies. Nora: Fights Tyrian with Ren but is poisoned by him to protect the man she loves and dies in his arms. Ren: Kills Tyrian and holds Nora in his arms as she dies. He is the only survivor of Team JNPR and walks away from the life of a Hunter yo life in peace in the same country where he lost his parents. Team RWBY: Ruby: With the help of Ozpin/Oscar, Ruby fights Salem but if ultimately wounded before ensuring her defeat and dies in her sister’s arms. Weiss: Weiss uses her semblance to help her team but falls into a coma. She is woken up due to the efforts of her sister after Yang disappears. Blake: Facing off against Hazel with Yang, Blake falls to her death with Hazel after pushing him over the edge to protect a wounded Yang. Yang: One of the last two survivors of Team RWBY, Yang disappears after the deaths of her sister and lover, never to be seen again. Team Salem: Salem: Wounded by Ruby but still unkillable, the Gods of Light and Darkness are summoned back to Remnant who condemn her to an eternal prison for her evil deeds. Cinder: Remorseful of her past crimes, sacrifices her powers to summon the Gods of Light and Darkness back to defeat Salem. She surrenders herself and is imprisoned, furthering her quest for redemption. Tyrian: Fights Nora and REN, managing to poison Nora before being killed by Ren. Watts: Fights Qrow and is killed by him. Hazel: Battles Yang and Blake, sounds Yang before being tackled off a cliff to his and hers deaths. Emerald: Turns against Cinder and Salem, helping Team RWBY as she fights Mercury and kills him, running away afterwards to begin a new life without relying on anyone. Mercury: Fights Emerald and is killed by her. Other Characters: Ozpin: With his original mission now completed, Ozpin moves on to the afterlife to rest. Oscar: Free from being a host for Ozpin, enrolls at the newly rebuilt Beacon and uses Ozpin’s memories and experiences to become a teacher and eventually... headmaster. Qrow: Is turned back into a human by the God of Light and loses his semblance of bad luck. Though tormented by the death of his niece, he finds peace and resists turning to alcohol. Instead, he journeys to find Yang and being her back, accompanied by her parents. Tai and Raven: Reconcile and join Qrow to find Yang. Maria: Dies in the final battle against the Grimm, managing to use her wounded eyes one last time. And that’s it for my predictions.
Ren did actually know his parents. They were killed by the Nuckelavee Grimm.
Michael King Which kinda adds to the theory because Mulan became a warrior for the sake of her father and Ren seemed to have become a hunter for the sake of his village and father.
Why did you remember the name of that Grimm tho-

NOTHING. BAD. EVER. HAPPENED.

Also, with the 'Pyrrha is already dead' was kinda blunt. You should've said she passed, or that she was killed by Cinder.
Good job using The Iliad. I have to say I am a Greek and Roman mythology nerd, and you got all of your facts correct.

I think Nora could die from Tyrian.
I don't see Ren killing himself, instead I feel like he would throw his life away for the sake of Nora.
With Nora dead, there is no one alive who can stop Ren from charging recklessly at the enemy
if u think about ren does have a motive for suicide. but hes too mentally strong to do it.

Man, I wish that Pyrrha back with JNPR but not that way.:(
Not saying that I think this theory will happen, but you could definitely build a subplot out of this towards the end of the show potentially.
Some side thoughts:
- Jaune's death via fire could be a bit more abstract than just a literal fire, such as the example given of burning to death.

This is late, but, I think if RT decides to go with the more “happy” route, instead of dying, the rest of JNPR could get critically injured or crippled by the same means as their mythological counterparts, and Ren, doing what he could, goes home and takes care of them as they live out the rest of their days.
That, is heartbreakingly sweet
Or hear me out here, maybe just maybe Monty used all these mythical heroes as inspiration and never intended to 100% copy those old stories. Pyrrha being shot in the heel was a nice reference to Achilles, however she didn't die from the arrow being poisoned and/or the arrow causing her to fall down from a great distance.

He also has those ridiculous bunny pajamas.

Cierra Huddart it's because miles likes voicing jaune so much he tries to squeeze him in everywhere
Jaune - Burned alive by Cinder
Nora - Stung by Tyrian's regrown tail OR killed by Cinder or Salem
Renn - Revenge for Nora's death but killed by Cinder or Salem
I was thinking about Watts, Hansel (that buff dude), Emerald and Mercury but I don't think that they are that insane or evil to kill a character unless given the task by Salem to kill. And if Ruby were to be in the same battle whereby her teammates die, she might do that silver eyes bs and kill everyone in the room, possibly even Qrow.
Renn:Kills himself after Nora dies
I don't think silver eyes affect anything other than grimm (if you don't count temporary blindness.)

Just a thought
parker mihelic "commits suicide to save nora"
parker mihelic hmmmm nope. both still alive and closer than ever 👌😏 Hope youve seen ep 12
Phil's Eyelash Qrow? Hmmmm.... that's a bit iffy.

JoJoke 's exactly.
JoJoke 's either you die a hero, or live to become the villain
Just hope it doesn't reach the same amount of death as Akame ga kill
You mean like team rwby?
Nice music, only a somber tone like that could accompany a video like this. Also I just love DS3 :)

Definitely an interesting theory. If it would end up like that, who can really say. I personally like the idea since it is going to be darker then usual. And having some important deaths would end up doing that. All I would care about if it has decent writing into it.
writing is probably the most important when it comes to their deaths, if the writing isn't there don't kill them
EruptionFang Indeed. And with the current episode, we are about to get the arc where we get to learn more about Nora and Ren. So we are definitely going to get some build up on that. And if it's going to be like anything like Pyrah's death, then it's going to be tragic.

So not only his Tyrien on the loose, it's also highly likely that he's going to try to kill Oscar, who we _know_ JNR is protecting, and if something happens to Nora it'll set of Rens death theory too.
Yeah
Also, unless Jaune's in the middle of death and life, I don't really think Pyrrha's spirit is going to talk to him aside from flashbacks, tbh.

You're talking about death and you used the music from the _Dark Souls 3_ title screen in the beginning...
Don't you think that's just a little ironic?
Epicmonk117 "I don't think that word means what you think it means" . . . .
PG21justus Google gives 3 definitions for irony:
1.) The expression of one's meaning by using language that normally signifies the opposite, typically for humorous or emphatic effect.
I think that if Nora dies Ren would sacrifice himself killing whatever poisoned Nora
I dont want any member of JNPR dying.
If they do, I hope Jaune won't.
I dont know why, but I like Jaune as a character.
I want him to be one of the greatest huntsman in the future
What if he becomes the world's greatest huntsman?
Effectively, Jaune Arc is what should be expected when writing the Hero's Journey storyline.
as it is now ren knows his parents. he knew a lot about them.
well, when we first heard that he was an orphan, everyone thought it was him that had his parents killed then taken in by Nora and her family when really it was swaped
I could see Ren going out suicide by sacrafice. Just keep fighting till he's dead, even tho he doesn't have to.
Max Deth she is based off him yes, the arrow to the heel took away his invulnerablility, after which an arrow was put in his chest
Kiki TheWarrior Weiss*
Kiki TheWarrior no need to hate him
Kiki TheWarrior THEN YOU SHOULD KNOW THAT HE IS WRONG ABOUT RENN, RENN KNEW HIS PARENTS THEY JUST DIED WHEN HE WAS A LITTLE KID. IT WAS NORA THAT DIDN'T KNOW HER PARENTS AT ALL
His name is spelled Ren
Weiss hmm interesting character Weiss and Pyrrha are my favourite characters so um yeah volume 5 chapter 11 Weiss hmm
You should probably update this "Death Theory" with the new backstory information of Ren and Nora from the most recent episode of RWBY's "Kuroyuri".
Really what I learned from this is that if Nora bites it, it's gonna be the end of the goddamn world.
I think either:
1. Nora dies protecting Ren and Ren kills himself
2. Ren dies protecting Nora and she goes on basically a rampage, killing Villians and/or Grim and avenges Ren, but like the theory, she dies from poison while killing Tyrian or a poisonous grim.
Each character has something in common with each other in your theory. They each died during the time of war. You think they will die in a war arc?
then ruby is going to be eaten alive
carso1500 and Blake will bang with Adam and yang will get eaten by two bears.
khosef Tadros wonderful
carso1500 Exactly! I don't get why people don't understand that RWBY and JNPR are their own unique characters with just the barest of a hint of the character's they were based on.
Lucas VerBeek if anything it should be an easter egg. something that doesn't effect much. I mean just think about it.
why did Nora die?
is it something about her character? no
something intrinsic to the story? no
why? oh she's just based on thor that's all
sounds dumb if you ask me.
and let me tell you predictable=boring one of the reasons why I hate pyrrha's death. it was way too predictable.
Pyrrha was probably my favorite character in the series but I didn't even flinch when she died because I knew since Volume 1 that she was going to die. Everything about her screamed "KILL ME"
NORA AND REN ARE MY FAVORITE CHARACTERS AND I SWEAR IF THEY DIE IM GONNA CRY SO BAD
This made me cry ...... we can not lose anymore characters
Honestly I just want Jaune’s last act to be using a mix of his and Pyrrha’s fighting styles.
"Ren was an orphan, he never knew his parents" yes he did what do you mean? Chapter 10: Kuroyuri proves it
My god this show has alot of fan theory
Auto correct changed Pira to pirates. (Face palm)
It's Phyyra
cyber defender
It's "Pyrrha"
I think if this theory turns out to be true which it has a high likelihood to because of the fabulous writer that is Miles Luna … I'm gonna be left broken
TheSonicfan91 especially if Ren does like that. I will legitimately cry
Graye Ira RT is not going to have one of their characters commit suicide that is just low.
Lucas VerBeek true. I'm just one of those people who think of the worst outcome.-.
Graye Ira Life might not be all sunshine and roses mate but it sure as hell ain't all fire and brimstone neither.
Lucas VerBeek I Think Gray Haddock (hope I got that right) said that they want RWBY to be to be able to viewable by pretty much all age groups. They wanted RWBY to be able to tackle darker subject matters but not immerse itself in being dark for the sake of being dark.
i think ren and nora will die but jaune will live or die after them
Jaune is getting burned by cinder
When they said that Jaune has heard of no thing about voices he actually stated once that he hears voices sometimes
Man, I really do miss when this show had stakes and we had things like this death theory
"When I try to research... I get redirected to Thor: Ragnarok, the movie"
THAT MOVIE HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH ACTUAL RAGNAROK! It's about a clone or some shit that couldn't be further from the story/Myth.
Also fun little side note: Ragnarok is also referred to as 'The Twilight of the Gods'
I think if nora was fighting a snake she would be in trouble then Ren would sacrifice himself to save her, but even after he does she still dies
Jaune, I think will be killed by Cinder due to her Fall maiden ability to control fire (also Jaune may want vengeance for Pyrrha)
I think that Nora will die fighting the Wyren (the grimm dragon).
Anna Barnes My predictions
Volume 5
Pyrrha comes back
Volume 128
They all die of old age
Cinder looks p dead rn
DaEpicFirestar unfortunately that didnt happen
it is possible that noras death could leave ren to commit suicide. in volume 7 when neo looked like nora team JNPR (and oscar) were fighting her and when ren went to hit he saw her face (that looked like nora) so he didnt hit her even though he knew it wasnt her he didnt attack and we later see ren crying this could mean that he cares about nora so much that just the thought of her dying brings him to tears. i think nora dies before ren and he then kills himself to be with her
With Salem's story being told now...if Nora dies, Ren accepts it and lets her go.
I don't think rt would end the characters this way as every fan is aware of this theory and as we know rt always has something to surprise us
Vihaan Saha why am I not surprised then?
Oh god and Cinder is fire...oh dear, poor Jaune. Well hopefully it'll be seasons later and not this season. I just want Jaune to prove himself before he dies at least. And I want Ren and Nora to given more character development before they die too.
it may be late volume 5 at the least
I really like your theories. It makes me even more exited for what happens next.
In Nora's last moments, Ren holds her in his arms, tearing up. She struggles to raise her arm, and weakly presses a finger against his nose. "Boop" She says, one last time...
NGHHHHHHHHHH WHY YOU GETTING ME IN THE FEELS 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
JNPR > RWBY
If another one of them die I’m done with Rwby
Their the best I really adore this beautiful team! Can I recommend a JNPR fanfic?
@@windghost2 please
TheSunken I was gonna recommend Silver by Imoyoshi
Here is it m.fanfiction.net/s/11575324/1/Silver
Of all the deaths mentioned, Ren has the heaviest and darkest one
Not a fan of the theory as much as Jaunes death but god damn hearing your interpretation of it and more is interesting :)
thanks!
EruptionFang why does your photo look like a fairy odd parents character instead of the old profile pic I liked that one better
It's worth noting that the creators have said that they're not really trying to recreate the stories their characters are based on. It's more about starting with a familiar base and doing something new with it. That doesn't mean they're not all going to die, but it's something to consider.
I would be cool tho... and very tragic
Joshua Plyman no more like boring and disappointing.
+khosef Tadros
I don't know I find it interesting to see the parallels
Joshua Plyman here's the thing though. why would you care about the character if you already know they're going to die nonetheless? that makes them tools
+khosef Tadros
we are all going to die sooner or later, its what you do until then that matters.
During vol 7 Qrow will be killed by Salems flying gorillas, then Nora will die to tyrians venom and ren will commit not living
When they killed off best girl (Pyrrha) life had no point.BUT I FREAKING
SWEAR IF THEY KILL JUANE,NORA OR REN I WILL DESTROY ROOSTER TEETH
I don't want team jnpr died!!!
any one else here dark souls in the background?
I think you're thinking to much into it. It could actually be pretty simple.
•Jaune dies by fire through cinder most likely ending up in a huge fiery explosion, ending Jaune, and Cinder, and avenging Pyrrha.
•Nora will most likely die by a giant king taijitu, as Tyrian had his stinger cut off(I don't think scorpions can regenerate their limbs)
•And as for Ren I think you're pretty spot on, that actually sounds like it could happen.
And before any of these deaths occur I'll make sure to surgically remove my tear ducts so I won't drown myself in any of my own tears.
Salem might have some bullshit method to grow Tyrion's tail back, which is goanna suck because he just became even crazier
What I think
Jaune: death by being captured by Salem
(Joan’s capture)
Nora: death by Tyrian or final battle
(Thor fight with the snake)
Ren: death by protecting Nora
(Mulan protecting her father)
The Tyrian part of this theory I can counter.
Scorpions hold poison in their tail at the sharp end. Ruby cut that off, which means Tyrian has lost his poison.
I would actually like this to happen, it sounds interesting and they would be with Pyrrah again
(Plz don't hurt me)
No, we need them for RWBY: Infinity War.
Team JNPR: (Minus Pyrrha)
Jaune: In an effort to protect everyone he loves, he combats Cinder but his severely burned by her and dies.
Team RWBY:
Ruby: With the help of Ozpin/Oscar, Ruby fights Salem but if ultimately wounded before ensuring her defeat and dies in her sister’s arms.
Team Salem:
Salem: Wounded by Ruby but still unkillable, the Gods of Light and Darkness are summoned back to Remnant who condemn her to an eternal prison for her evil deeds.
Other Characters:
Ozpin: With his original mission now completed, Ozpin moves on to the afterlife to rest.
Confirmed: Ren will die of Corona
Not to mention Phyryya was inspired by Achilles the ankle being the same
Watching this video during Volume 8 and, ... yikes
Yikes indeed
