    Thx for the vid. Need this upgrade for my 19ts I've running for over a year without a tune. A little procrastination......

    This only works with stock lpfp right ? I tried running this with a 450 now my car won’t stay started

    • @BYOMotorsport
      @BYOMotorsport  2 года назад +3

      To my knowledge yes. The 255 runs in series with the stock lpfp, whereas the 450 replaces the stock pump entirely.
      I’m pretty sure the 450 requires a change in your tune also whereas the 255 runs as normal.

      @@BYOMotorsport I run a stage 2.5 which is a bucketed walbro 535. No need for tune but when you start upgrading fueling you'll want a tune, even an ots tune, so you can get the most out of your money.

      From what I've read, this pump actually restricts the flow of the 450 and is not supposed to be run in line with a 450. This pump runs inline with stock pump.

      @@dextershumba7262 correct. It is not meant to be ran with a upgraded pump only stock fuel pump

      @@nateh8664 are you running an upgraded EKP with the walbro 535 or is the stock one holding up fine?

    Do you think this setup would support 19t’s with FBO on 91 for 550 to 600 hp ? Or do you suggest the walbro 450 upgrade ?

    • @BYOMotorsport
      @BYOMotorsport  Год назад

      On 91 you will need port injection for that kind of power.

    When I look at the fuel it website it says plug and play unit, but you clearly had to do a little bit with wiring. Is that required ?

    • @BYOMotorsport

      For stage 1 yes, wiring is required.

      Another question, please, I bought the almost new second-hand pump, but it does not have the small black part that it puts on after drilling, is that totally necessary? What is the use of doing that and in any case where could I get it?

    • @BYOMotorsport
      @BYOMotorsport  2 года назад

      @@luiscarlosmontanosaenz7717 That is the pump retainer clip. Essentially without that clip your pump will freely hang in your fuel tank. This could potentially cause problems if your taking hard turns putting stress on the pump connections.
      If your pump came without one I would look for different options regarding securing the new pumps position so it’s not just sitting on its own in the fuel tank.

    • @luiscarlosmontanosaenz7717
      @luiscarlosmontanosaenz7717 2 года назад

      ok I understand it is to hold the new pump so I guess it has to hold to the bottom of the white bottle of the oem pump

    It will increase the fuel use?

    • @BYOMotorsport
      @BYOMotorsport  Год назад +1

      Yes, the purpose of installing this pump is to supply more fuel to the car for additional power. Without a tune I doubt it would be a noticeable decrease in fuel efficiency however.
