I'm a plant addict and I saw 729 plants I want within the first 5 minutes !! Awesome greenhouse, I'd just sit in it all day and admire everything with love !! ❤ Thank you to the owner and you, your sister and your family. Its definitely a labor of love . ❤❤
Another great video Sean! I don’t think there is anyone else who could bring the collection of Kunzo to us in such a wholesome and respectful manner as you. Thank you for sharing such a collection with us. 😊
Thank you for another video of Mr. Kunzo’s greenhouses. I will never tire of seeing his amazing collection of plants. The plants that look like little ruffled cabbages on sticks are ornamental kale. They are used frequently as autumn decor in the garden or in container plantings in cool climates.
This is the 3rd video tour I've seen at Mr. Kunzo's nursery, but the man has so much beautiful specimens it is worth more than a couple of tours... What a collection this man has, amazing!
Thank you! I grow my plants literally on the other side of the world, in the UK. It's so interesting to see what's different, what's the same and also the different way of appreciating plant life. My family laughed when I used a gnarled, twisted branch from the garden for my Tetrasperma to vine. I think it's beautiful. Now I feel vindicated! 💚
This is amazing! Such a high end greenhouse I’ve ever seen. Every single plant is spectacular and meticulously well maintained. Thank you for showing us around…. 😍
I like how you highlight the use of dead plant material in Kunzo-san's Ikebana. I don't know anything about Ikebana but I've read a little bit about the art of Japanese Gardens and, apparently, leaving a dead tree to rest on a living one or to highlight a dead tree stump can be a fundamental in certain types of garden. Juxtaposing elements of life and death is not only good for your plants' ecosystem because it allows the cycle of life to perpetuate by natural composting but it also brings visual and conceptual balance. When it's done with plants it makes me feel peaceful, it's one of the main reasons why I love forests so much. You know when you go so deep in the forest that there's no sign of human intervention to be found? I think my long-term life-goal is to slowly study Japanese Gardens so that I can realize one when I can afford to buy some land and a house down the line... yeah, that would be nice.
What a phenomenal and amazing experience it must have been to spend time in such a magnificent space. I probably would have cried and even fainted a time or two LOL! Sean, I think I speak for everyone when I say your content is second to none and we appreciate you and your amazing work. Also I think it speaks volumes about your character that people like Mr. Kunzo open up their cherished space for you and your viewers. We appreciate you!!!💚🌿 Hopefully you take some time for yourself and your own plant collection soon!
So many plant family in one big greenhouse is sometimes really pain in the ass, yet Mr. Kunzo did really good job taking care all of them, what a legend.
Your right , he’s definitely one of a kind with a collection this pristine & diverse. It’s awesome to see someone with such a vast selection & everything’s kept perfectly healthy & even the heavily mutated individuals aswell. Do you know if he’s made any of his own hybrids ?? He definitely should if he hasn’t, would be insane to see the magic he comes up with !!!
What a spectacular collection, Sean. I have peperomia hope and the leaves are dark green, as you said. I also had a peperomia graveolens which unfortunately I lost it last year. Thank you for sharing and Mr Kunzo as well ❤❤❤
Ok just getting into the video… and I had to watch that first minute several times.. it just gave me all the giggles!!!!! Time for the unicorn plants.. so excited!
I’m dying, I want them all! I just can’t imagine shipping in from Asia to Canada and the plant survives, besides the long trip the differences in humidity, temp, elevation etc. I don’t think I’d have the heart to order so far away Kunzo is a LEGEND I can’t find your other channel!! What’s it called?!?!
The other channel is called “onlysean”. Im editing the Osaka video on the personal channel it should be up this week. (Osaka is where this nursery is at)
Amazing! I identified the plant at around 19:50 as Worsleya procera Never heard of it before, I think its foliage is a lot more striking than its flowers though!
17:43 I had to do a double take on the name of this plant, this is the prettiest ornamental cabbage I have ever seen. The long stem gives it such an extraordinary look. Breathtaking!
Loved this video. Wish I had a greenhouse. We only get about a month of cold temperature in the winter with nighttime temperatures in the 30’s and sometimes in the 20’s. I am experimenting with some of my plants to see how cold they can tolerate. Won’t put my SOS or Burle marks flame outside, yet.
mr kunzo's numerous collection are amazing but i noticed on the aroid side seems got lot bleach colour on foliages, the gh condition way too bright for em or?
I think this is not bleached 😀 but they are unusual mutations of the plants. The light level there was actually very similar to the filtered shade in many greenhouses.
@@onlyplants Yes, it is Thaumatophyllum. I was so buzy watching your video that I was a little bit to lazy to write this long genus name lol Thank you for your video. 🙂
@@onlyplants I was interested so I made some research on google and I discovered that Philodendron 'Tropical Sunset' and 'Prince of Orange' are the same plant.

Only 729?!? I think I’m well over 1,000 lmao jk but not really, I guarantee he had 1,000 I would love to own at some point in my life lol!!
Another great video Sean! I don’t think there is anyone else who could bring the collection of Kunzo to us in such a wholesome and respectful manner as you. Thank you for sharing such a collection with us. 😊
Thanks Mikey
You forgot to focus on those large Astrophytum. That's Mr. Kunzo's favorite. He loves arid plants. He is good at it. 💚

Haha thank you so much. This is tremendous support and empowers me to do more

They do look like winter-loving plants. I wonder if they are edible… 😅
@@onlyplants They are edible but since they were bred for ornamental value alone the foliage is not very flavorful.
This Would be so overwhelming! So much to look at! Its like a little piece of plant heaven.
Thank you ❤️
I could walk for hooouuurrrrrrs. Thank you for taking us Sean 💚

17:43 I had to do a double take on the name of this plant, this is the prettiest ornamental cabbage I have ever seen. The long stem gives it such an extraordinary look. Breathtaking!
Yeahh. It looks like a winter hardy plant for some reason
So cool, 18:04 what we call in the states Ornamental Cabbage is wired. Never thought I’d see a Bonsai made from one. Mind blown 😳🤯💚
😀😀 The Japanese turn most things into Bonsai, it seem to be the way of life there
I love this video. The plants are amazing and breathtaking ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank you ❤️❤️
YOU VISITED THE GRANDMASTER OMGGGGG❤❤❤
Haha yes ❤️ check out the previous episode at his nursery about 4 weeks back. he said some wonderful things in there
Great job 👏
❤️😀
Good job Sean 🥳
Thank you ❤️❤️
exited to watch this video :)
😀😀
Amazing 🤩 Thank you Sean! Were you able to see the name of the “tantalizing” one with the beautiful curves leaves?! So curious what that was called!
Haha it actually feels like a desert plant, and also a caudiciform.
Aroids are definitely my favorites also. Although I've been enjoying more Mallows, and Nightshades lately.
Googling Mallows now 😀
Ooh interesting they look almost like a weedy type plant 😀
@@onlyplants Mallows include hibiscus, Okra, Cotton, and Hollyhocks.
Mallows also being where we get marshmallows from.

That plant at 1:29 is a Pseudorhipsalis amazonica. 🙂 The one at 17:00 is Rhipsalis paradoxa.
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
❤️❤️❤️
What is that stunning pink/yellow/peach/green speckled Sansevieira (?) in the right corner at 5:54????? Looks like nothing I've seen before!
That is actually a bromeliad. Im not sure of the name but Ive seen it quite often
10:28 i think it’s variegated philodendron golden xanadu?
Oh yes I think someone commented that 😀
cool
😀
8:24 😮😮😮😮❤❤❤❤
Yeahhh what a beauty right

does anyone have an ID on the plant at 21:40?
Worsleya procera
Woohoo! More catwalks in the future! 🎉

At 10:19, it is Philodendron Xanadu golden variegated. Not very stable from what I know..
Oooh interesting… I heard the Xanadu is actually in the Thaumatophyllum genus, a cousin to the philodendrons
Thanks for this ID by the way! ❤️

Thanks Raymond. Always a delight to see your comments
Just wondering did he tell you what his soil mix looks like for his aroids?
We briefly skimmed through it in the last episode but not get into ratios or anything. 😀
Just some cuttings please❤

Hosepipe on the floor...does this mean he irrigates by hand?
Oooh Im not sure about this 😅
10:22 that looks like a variagated xanadu
Oh yeah someone else commented that too 😀 my first time seeing it
Is the Unicorn Plant Edible ??
