Namaste 🙏🏾, absolutely beautiful, the plants, home, both of you. This was educational, inspiring and lovely. I really enjoyed this tour. Thank you for sharing. Sending Light and Love 💚
The tasteful way he has displayed his plant collection, optimizing all the vertical space really makes his home look warm, inviting and cozy. The walls will look absolutely incredible as the plants mature. I really enjoyed this!
Andreas Wistuba also specializes in Ant Plants. While he is more known for his Nepenthes and Heliamphora, he has one of the most extensive collections of ant plants in the world and also sells them worldwide. I can't let my boi, the GOAT, AW be done dirty like this 💪😤
Love all the Netherlands cultivars that I'm very known with, and see all the time since I live in the Netherlands. They're cheap here too! This video hits home, I live in a tiny appartment with 70+ plants and it sure is a challenge, but definitely worth it.
This is an excellent episode.... I have always admired Japanese Plant growers and it was wonderful to see the creative ways the space is being used to grow the ferns :)
The Sarracenia purpurea needs to be watered with distilled/rain water and higher humidity to thrive. KC has a beautiful collection of ferns and other challenging plants.
I used to collect all sorts of plants when I had more space, including Mediterranean species that grow big such as Lemon, Oleanders, Leaf bay, etc. Now I have less space, focusing on ferns and seasonal plants for variety. I am no longer a fan of the eclectic, messy look. But he did well with the limited space he has.
Hi, KC here. Yes, sphagnum moss. The sphagnum moss absorbs water for it to keep moist for several days. I water them every few days 8depending on season). Regarding orchids, I spray them almost every day (if I don't forget to).
@@caseynw Hi, 🙌 Wonderful collection. I, too, am interested in rare ferns and I was amazed by your drinaria and other epiphytes growing on branches and bark, as in nature🌿
Fantastic! So refreshing to see someone adapting an environment to include living plants! Every inch is precious and so loving cared for and presented. Great video.
Terima kasih Sean😍 Having a small living space, KC truly inspires me! What were those gorgeous black grow bulbs - you didn’t touch on the lighting. Please link them?
@@onlyplants thank you! I love playing your videos while I get ready for work. It gets me in a good mood seeing all the plants and hearing your voice. Keep up the great work
Does he have a humidifier with all those books? 😮 Also with the small room and the bright grow light is probably hot. Hehe the things we do for our plants. 😅
Hi this is KC. Yes, I turn the humidifier on in winters when the natural humidity is very low here in Japan. The room humidity is kept between around 50%~70%. The books are actually just fine as long as I don’t aim the humidifier nozzles towards them 📚
Sorry love couldn't watch the video that horrid music was playing even when people are talking that repetitive noise would be going. Got on my nerves and I'm pretty chill so must be more. Other than that I love most of your videos. Sorry for the negative as I really do enjoy your content
Really enjoyed his collections💐 thank you
Thank you
I loved this! Really great collection, and you both have such good chemistry. Very therapeutic and calming
Thank you 😀 we have been online pen pals for over a year I think
Some of the most interesting and inspiring home collections are in ‘small’ living places’…enjoyed the dialogue. Thanx,
Thank you ❤️❤️
I live in 40 m2/450 sq ft. so seeing other people's small homes and how they stuff plants in is always interesting.
Whoaaa thats a little smaller than my unit 😀
The neon lights and plants combo looks so aesthetic. I really enjoy seeing how other people decide to display or home their collections.
Thank you ❤️
It was fun visiting KC and talking about plants. Thank you for taking us with you!

Yeah Im learning to downsize too after moving into my tiny house. It feels good in a way to limit our collection.
That very good idea for people loving plant because I'm love plant too❤
❤️❤️
Amazing to transform such a small place thriving with plants , I love this 😊

Awesome tour. Thanks for sharing.

All these plants are attached to bark and moss, how is it possible to keep them in a room with normal humidity, they are sprayed and watered daily??
Yes. Sprayed daily. 😀

Makes me feel like I live in a castle. His whole space is smaller than my bedroom
😅😅
He is very knowledgeable for only being in the game for 10 months ! 🎉
Fantastic! So refreshing to see someone adapting an environment to include living plants! Every inch is precious and so loving cared for and presented. Great video.
Yes I love learning from determined growers like this!
Ferns are my favorite species. It was fun to watch. And I agree - Tampopo is a very good movie.
I need to watch that haha. I googled images of it and it looked fun
great interview! do more of these Sean!
Thank you ❤️ I had a fantastic time
Could keep some pinguicula for fungus gnats or flies 👀👀
Yes you could. But they need full sun and a dormancy period every winter 😀 also pure water with no minerals.
Saya penggemar tanaman. Saya sangat suka channel ini. Sukses selalu. Salam dari Jogja Indonesia
Makasih ya 🙏🏽

Ooh you can probably hound KC in the DM to ask where he got them 😀 although sometimes what they have in Japan may not be available in other countries

A very typical tiny flat found in Japan. I couldn't stand it being so hemmed in lol. He has a great base of plants to build upon.
Hi this is KC. Thank you. Yes, this is indeed a typical for-single one-room apartment in Tokyo. 😂 Very very cramped.
@@caseynw it may be small but it's your man cave :) It's crazy how expensive property is in some places. Well done with the plant's, though. :D
😀😀
That reminds me, guy, where can I find a reliable seller of ferns? In particular platycerium. Thank you both in advance. :D
Real estate must be very expensive in Japan.
Yes it is 😵 some of the most expensive
That’s a hoya memoria
Oooh I actually just bought a nice pot of Hoya Gracilis, I googled and its the same as Memoria!
Waw... Jenuh di luar rumah melihat gedung pencakar langit. Begitu masuk ke dalam kamar seperti masuk ke dalam hutan kecil. 🪴
