Sean! Wow! I am overwhelmed by the amazing aroids you are showing us! I can only watch a little every week..... Mind blowing!!! We're so lucky to have you doing this,😊 thank you
Stunning. All of it. The Aglaonemas 😮 I want them all! Like Pokémon I gotta catch them all lol Your excitement and energy is contagious ❤ Thank you for a very visually stunning one hour seventeen and a half min. video. 😊
I remember folks saying variegated anthurium would be huge in the US for collectors in 2022 but I haven't seen too many people interested in them until the last few months or so, self included. I have a variegated pterodactyl and sweet love but there's defintely a few in this vid I'd love to add one day. The type of variegation makes a world of difference to me though. Thanks a ton for sharing with us! I'd love to go in the near future ☺️
@Gee-xb7rt I defintely get that. I've seen a lot with speckled variegation, which is why I wasn't interested in them but I've seen an increase in nicer sectoral variegated ones from growers like SKG and from a few collectors in anthurium FB groups this yr. It'll be interesting to see how widely adopted they become in the anthurium community.
@onlyplants no doubt! From what I've gathered on IG and FB groups, many anthurium collectors weren't into them for the most part until recently since now there's a little bit more variety in color, types of variegation, and crosses which I think has piqued interest. I'm curious to see how popular they become in 2024.
People really only say that because they haven't existed much thus far and weren't affordable. I said the same until I was lucky enough to have grown one from a seed. And ever since I understand their beauty.
You’re a hardworking plantito Sean and I really admire your plant intelligence dedication and hardwork to bring us great shows. It seems like am there with all those plants too through your videos.
Hi Sean, you've got a very rich vocabulary, the play of words to accurately describe to us what you see... so amazing- both you and the plants you narrate.
My anxiety is really high today and I’m on a time crunch-it’s so nice to play your videos and see beautiful plants and hear your beautiful voice while I get my life together! 🌟
Happy to hear that. Breathe and face your anxiety calmly. Try to work your way through the problems. Most things get better with time and with the right course of action ❤️
Wow ...These variegated anthuriums are a feast for the eyes! 😍 The vibrant colors and unique leaf patterns make each one a true work of art. Nature's beauty at its finest! Please share about potting mixture as well thanks. ❤ From 🇮🇳.
I only have one Aglaonema I bought it as a little baby three leaf plant. It’s got beautiful pink variegation . I believe it’s called Lady Valentine. I watched yourAglaonema care video and finally got up the courage to chop off the top after a couple of months and propagate that back into the mother plant and it rewarded me with four new growth points off the base! it is looking so full and beautiful now, thank you so much for your advice!
This is my first time seeing the variegated Anthuriums and I LOVE THEM!! I could almost house an entire collection of them! Ok, as long as I can have my variegated Monsteras too! LOL. 😂 I am totally here for all the variegation.
The Anthurium kunayalense comes from Panama. They're high in stock now because a year or so ago, a lot of them were poached from the wild jungle in Panama and a lot of them were sent to SEA.
I was wondering if it was Kunayalense because of Kuna Yala! How awful to know they were poached and exported in such a bad way... Hopefully we can preserve them in their natural habitat

I am not a huge fan of very many variegated plants. However the shape and form of the anthuriums is quite attractive and they are starting to grow on me. (pun intended) I do prefer the dark leaved ones with the silver / white veins.
Great show, beautiful variegated plants, love it! Those anthurium hybrids are so pretty , though out of reach! That homalomina @1:05:31 is gorgeous! Thanks for sharing this beautiful show with us and happy growing.
I watched this entire video from start to finish and I was blown away the entire time! We can only hope to have a tiny amount of these anthurium types here in NZ so I'm super grateful to be able to watch videos like yours! Thank you 🥰
Hey Sean, I always love your vids. I'm going to ecuagenera this month in Cali. Originally, I had my eye on warocqueanum but I shall wait for the end of this video to decide. As always you're the best 😍
with waroc… they are hard to acclimatize, and also you need specific growing conditions. They are actually affordable for a “rare” plant, and their prices hasnt fluctuated much. People produce them in large numbers but the death rate in the hands of customers are quite high.
Thank you so much for an amazing video. I am an anthurium fan and have already several in my collection, species and hybrids. My wishlist just grew so much longer.
This is a lovely tour Shawn. Thanks for sharing. How do we find out about the various plant shows. I’d really like to attend one, but need to pick wisely. Ty💚
Hello, I do post plant shows on my IG story from time to time, usually they are good ones. For Thailand - Suan Luang (annual) and Bangkok Exotic Plants (every 3 months) For Indonesia - FLOII (annual)
@@onlyplants Thanks for your reply. Shawn, I know you were something of an entrepreneur. I think you could potentially earn a nice little sum for offering some guided tours in these places. Just saying, the shows are there, you are awesome there, and people have an interest in going. Just an idea!💚
Hello there. I was wondering if these show events are private or open to the public. I would love to attend to one one day when I visit Asia at some point. Where should I start in looking to attend a show? Thanks. Love your videos.
All of these shows are public and free to enter. You can follow their instagram or facebook pages, they will promote incessantly on socials when they plan for a show. Some are annual, some are every 3 months
You bought the same orchid u got from there. I also have the variegated one in purple. Did you see the begonias yesterday. They were beautiful. I got 6 colors in them. I think they came in on Thursday. Also got the aglonema pink. I like the maranta for next time and I may get a flower succulent. So many great ones there.

@@onlyplants i just found something interesting and I haven't tried it yet, but apparently pine acts as a deterrent for Pythium, which is often what is behind root rot. They recommended about 20% pine in the potting mix.
All Anthurium are not the same. The flowering varieties that are most common aren't that difficult, the bird's nest ones are a good place to start. If you want the silver venation A. clarinervium is a little hardier than the others. Many of them are epiphytic so you need to grow them more like orchids in a really chunky mix.
