Hey guys! There is a wonky bit of the Audio when it mysterious mysteriously goes out around minute 29:02 but back ON again shortly after which I am SO sorry about. It's during the Clarinervium & Besseae aff which is particularly annoying, because I had alot to say about those💚✨
I have only the basic anthuriums, except not the queen. Mine are in ambient as well and also doing well. I have not purchased a hybrid yet only because there are so many to choose from and they kinda start looking alike. I have run out of room in my house so I am slowly narrowing down my collection to plants that do well for me and hold my interest. I like your fast paced video. I am starting to get bored with some plant utubers. If youve been watching for years then youve kinda heard it all before. Good for you that your not boring.
Thanks so much Kristie 🥹🤗 That means a lot!! You know, sometimes I get overwhelmed by the sheer volume and types of hybrids out there & some are SO expensive 😳Plus I’m also running out of room as well. Time for a purge I think. Good news is that it’s so hot over here now, I’ll be forced into a plant buying hiatus solely d/t shipping constraints.💚
My favorites are anthurium Dark Phoenix and Warocqueanum esmeralda, which is a variation of a warocqueanum with more muted veins and much easier to grow💚🌿
Thank you Sara! I love a Dark Phoenix- they are so beautiful. I’m always admiring those on IG- maybe one day🤗 My sister has a waroc Esmeralda and it is HUGE! She got it from Ecuagenera in CA. I’m so jealous of that plant 🤣💚
Wow! You have so many anthuriums. I would have to move to a bigger house! The pallidaforum is my favorite! I have one but no where near the size of yours! Wow, wow, WOW. 😍
Just found you, love that you are growing in ambient. With the exception of a few I grow 90-95% of mine in ambient. Happy to follow along in your plant journey.
Welcome aboard Kristin! Yesss!!! Love to hear it- I have always been so inspired by Tyler from Rousseau growing his plants as a part of his decor in ambient💚
My anthuriums are crap. I finally bought a Milsbo cabinet and made a greenhouse for them. Clairinervium in (soil) still has the same leaf. Pallidiflorum & Veitchii (in fluval) are pretty much dead. I bought Great White on your recommendation; I totally forgot it yesterday when I watered.
Oh no Amy! That makes me so sad! Sorry your plant babies are misbehaving- hopefully they will love cabinet life. Veitchii’s can be temperamental, but hopefully you can salvage your Pallidiflorum. I’m pulling for you!!
@@EnchantedPlantQueen Me, too. The clarinervium may still have a chance. The other two, I just need to give up hope. I went online to shop for new plants, inspired by you, I couldn’t find where you could add cooling packs to plant shipments. It was 112° here in Phoenix today. Unless I can find them locally, my online plant shipping days are done until October.
@@amyheckathorn7172sounds sensible- I ordered a plant a few days ago that’s coming from Texas…hopefully it doesn’t arrive shriveled and sad. I’m prob done for a while too, unless it’s local 💚

Hard to keep it up to date when you can’t stop adding!! I started potting them into much larger pots because there all growing wild now!! Happy growing And thanks so much for sharing!! Thank you so much!!! 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻Oooh I’ll have to check yours out🤗 As you said, always fun to see what others “must-haves” are😍 Also yes, this collection continues to evolve at an alarmingly rate!🤣
Oh my gosh, I just bought the same plant your Anthurium Michelle x Doc Block from the same store before you showed #1! We are to much alike love it. Thanks for this video!
Thank you so much 🤗 Omg the pots! Aren’t they great?! I got them from Home Goods, they were a one off tho, I’ve never seen them again sadly. I wish I had bought more. If I ever find them again I will post a link/info on where to find💚
SOO jealous of your collection lol. Thanks so much for your video. I'm dying for more anthuriums (they're my favourite genus and I only have two lol) but unfortunately I can't have so many plants lol.
Thank you 💚Such a special genus, truly! I can’t get enough- out of curiosity, which 2 species do u have? They should feel very lucky they were the chosen ones 🤗
@@EnchantedPlantQueen they were actually both gifts haha. Andraeanum and forgetii. Pretty basic but I love them both and they're very easy to care for so I never worry about them. Would love some more though lol
@@princesssunraysForgetii is so beautiful and drama free🤗 What an amazing gift- whoever gave that to you knew what they were doing. I once made the mistake of gifting a string of pearls to a good friend and of course, it did not go well. We’re still friends tho😅😂
@@LeafyConversationslately I’ve been using it about once a week- since the growth on everybody here has been explosive. So nearly with every watering. I’ll back off of it when it cools down a bit💚
I use Cal Mag every watering. I started at full strength and am up to 6ml per gallon. Just add it to the water first and let it sit for at least 1/2 hour before adding the fertilizer.
I was about to ask why in the world is that tiny plant in such a large pot. Thanks. What is the best pot to put anthuriums in? I tried no drainage and my Crystal did not seem to like it. I moved her into a self watering pot and the Clari into a nursery pot with good drainage. I am so loving these plants.
😂I Know. Comically large for the size of the plant. I make it a point to try everything but I honestly feel like for me, and my conditions, I like the clear orchid pots the best. It seems to be the right about of drainage and aeration for my anthuriums. No drainage for aroid mix/soiless mix is definitely an art that I have not mastered. 💚
@@EnchantedPlantQueen The two channels I found are gifted in using no drainage, but my plants did not seem to like it and I do not want to lose those pricey plants. Thanks for responding!
Anthurium longissimilobum is not one of my best plants either. It grows slow, like you said, but I find it very sensitive to watering too frequently and too much light. I'm ready to chuck mine in the trash and let something else have that space. Second worst for me is waterburanum x warocqueanum (Ecuagenera Queen inverse). It won't hold more than two leaves and it cannot be watered with tap water. The leaves are large and beautiful, very waroc like but a bit wider. I just can't stand that it looks so pathetic with only two leaves and when a new emergent starts the older leaf starts to senesce.
Thanks so much for this Mike! I don’t know too many others with the longissimilobum so I often wonder, “is it me?” I even bought a second one to REALLY see what the deal is bc they look so cool when they really size up, but at this rate, that will happen when my son learns to drive or goes off to college🤣
Beautiful collection. I have several of them, including the Rugulosun unfortunately. I just ordered the Queen hybrid and a few of your others from ecuagenera. I really have to learn not to watch plant content while drinking 😉
Hopefully your Rugulosum looks like an actual plant rather than my pitiful stump over there. Also, I agree- some expensive plants start showing up to the house 🤣🍷
@EnchantedPlantQueen I just repotted the rugulosum stump and others that haven't done anything into a new"shared" 55gallon green pot I'm putting roadside 😁 R.I.P stumpys!
The water in LA is very hard so I give the anthurium filtered water. However, some of my tougher plants like my monstera, pothos, succulents, etc get regular tap water and seem ok with their downgraded conditions 😂
Thanks Natasha!! That means so much coming from you🫶🏻 Also thanks for the validation- that Rugulosum has one root in the 🪦I tell you! Waste of space in that guest room🤣
