- Red Wings captain Henrik Zetterberg is honored for playing in his 1,000th NHL game, which coincides with the closing of the Joe -- the only arena he's called home during his career.
1000th game and at the last game at the Joe and he gets a goal and the win. Can't get any better than that. Stanley Cup winner, Con Smythe winner, Olympic Gold and Olympic Silver medals, World Championship Gold medal, 960 NHL points, 120 playoff points on 137 playoff games. If that's not hall of fame material then idk what is.
