So far I am interested in the frame design on the Epic. It looks good in theory. We will have to see in practice. It was interesting to hear about Intense's high level of attention to detail, especially with their pivots, The most impressive thing I saw so far, was Anna's reporting. She is a talented cycling journalist, a very knowledgeable bike mechanic, a competent mountain biker, and a very lovely lady.
Love the new EPIC. Reminds me of the Trek Supercaliber. Hardtails have my heart right now. That bit of compliance while still riding like a hardtail is awesome. BTW where’s Doddy? Don’t know if I missed something but haven’t seen him in a while. Love watching all you! Keep up the great work!
That Pole frame looks interesting, not quite a high pivot but more like a high chainstay? Also, the way they fabricated it is beautiful. Makes me want a full-sus alu frame if it's made like that.
The Tyee! Great to see it. Can we get some close ups on the Rock Shox Black Box DH fork? Maybe ask the Rock Shox guys when we’re going to see the 38mm DH fork released 😍
Gwin's mechanic is spot on with everything he says. As an engineer, swapping allan key sizes for multiple bolts is annoying as hell. Glad INTENSE brought him onboard and took his opinions into consideration....good engineering and design approach. They just made my shortlist for a new bike because of this.....👍
Being a mechanic, I really look up to John and would embrace having the same size allen keys for every main bolt and reduction in uncontained washers, if fact I'd like to see it as an industry standard. Great vid, enjoy the weather, in fact bring some back please ....
@UnjustifiedRecs not nonsense, look at the video history. Doddy seems to be being phased out in favor of a non technician, which is a bad idea and would definitely lose my sub. Anyone can read script, but it takes someone like Doddy that’s lived it to make it real.
The XC tire liner is actually sick, I was already thinking about times it would've saved my ass in a race of long ride when I got a flat when he said that
Shout out to Ministry Cycles and his Psalm 150 CNC frame!! It was carrying the new EXT Racing Shox with the dual air spring (at 3:30 in this vid). Talk about new Tech! This frame has a great story.
@GMBN Anna, I’ve just fitted my Cane Creek helm mk2 to my bike and was wondering if you would bring me back a Helm fender? They seem to be like rocking horses muck to find in the UK. Cheers Simon.
Tire liners are only good for the most extreme muddy application, otherwise steer clear because besides adding weight exactly where it matters most that sidewall support greatly increases the chance or sidewall tearing.
Feels like the same stuff with different packaging. Marketing teams hard at work here I guess... I miss the evolution of bikes in the 90s where real new stuff popped out every month. Not everything sticked but it created a real urge to find out what crazy things could people come up with.
Was thinking about driving the 350 miles to Laguna Seca; but, Anna's tech review makes that unnecessary. Keep it up Anna! And...if Specialized has any update about the new 2023/2024 Levo SL, I could really get into that...
#askGMBNTech : An idea for a video. Run your test track with deflated tyres, only the liner to hold shape... I.E How good are liners when the air goes south!
I was really hyped for the new tyee (Since it was rumored for quite a while) Sadly they implemented an obligatory headset cable Routing on the carbon version That's a big No-Go for me - so it won't be my next Bike 🤷🏻♂️

No doddy.
Can someone please tell us where Doddy is? Is he ok? Has he left? Silence just makes you look guys stupid.
I like the Pole and the Nukeproof. The Nukeproof in black with the Jamaica 🇯🇲 flag instead of the Stars and Stripes 🤭
That Pole 🔥
