We were a group of 3. 60km and 1200m up and down, Slovakia. 1. Most skilled on bad bike 2. Me semi skilled on on great bike 3. Moto guy first time on old but good bike It was a huge fun but the pain was unbearable on the climbs. We will go again!
Great vid! These 3 are a good mix, imagine if they did a vid series like "The Grand Tour" or "Top Gear" where they go around playing pranks on one another and just enjoying the sport and have advetures riding bikes, that would be a show!! I would call it The Grand Touring" lol
Many times... We try to do Snowdonia (Coed-y-Brenin on the way up and Nant-y-Arian on the way back) and Scotland every other year. We are lucky to be in Rich's neck of the woods so Sundays we pack the bikes in the VW and head to the Mendips or Quantocks. Did French Alps and Northern Italy in 2022... for a 9 day road trip. That was epic!!
Are you in England? I would love to ride some trails when I'm back in the summer. I ride pretty gnarly wild trails here in Japan. I'm no expert. Getting better each month; but we go at it positive. We have an ex pro that teaches us drops and stuff we couldn't do on our own. LMK if you want to ride
Sneaky tip for the 2mm drill bit - put some tape around the bit to make it bigger, and it'll work fine in a normal chuck... Works down to a 0.5mm bit 🤙🏽
I do miss the UK network of bridleways and mapping out a big day exploring. I live in Whistler now so I am sure loads of people will think I am nuts missing the UK when I have that on my door step but there is a big difference in the style of riding the UK offers for people looking for epic loops in the woods.
We know exactly what you mean! There's more trail centre style goodness that you can link in to Enduro trails, rather than the other way around (unless you constantly ride Blackcomb into Lost Lake 😅). Plus the added bonus of year round UK riding if you're brave enough. How long have you been in Whistler for?
That looked like a lot of fun even if it was a bit stinky in parts. Seeing the 3 boys just having fun and goofing around is great and where they were riding single file on the first bit of trail, some of those shots looked epic. Was Blake running clips or flats on his when he did the no foot can?
Hello? Planning to go for a medium according to Canyon's suggestion on their website. But I'm a little worried about the 475mm reach and 1250mm wheelbase might be too long. But their small will have shorter actual cockpit length paired with 40 or 50mm stem. Sizing is really confusing. Do you guys have any advice?
I heard the water sound when braking in the video, I have the same problem on my spectral, could you explain to me what it is and if my brakes need bleeding ?
Isn't the Neuron the trail bike? Its too long travel to be (hate saying the word) downcountry. The spectral is arguably quite long travel for a trail bike. You have the Strive for Enduro and Tourque for park. Spectral 125 for a "rowdier" trail bike. Feels like there are too many bikes in their line up? Edit: video says that it is 140/150 but website says 150/160. So even more likely stepping on the toes of the Neuron?
The neuron is the XCer's trail bike whereas the spectral is more of an Enduro rider's trail bike, it's more of a generalist and could probably handle park stuff more.
Shouldn't you guys be riding Propain bikes now? What is going to happen with Blakes favorite Nukeproof Scout? Is he allowed to ride it on the videos still?
I am surprised by two things. Because the rear shock is attached to the middle of down tube, a water bottle is tiny. Not good. I am really surprised by how tall the BB height is. Anybody agree with me? I wonder if next geo change trend is moving the BB and the stack height up???? Anybody?
Please God, allow us to listen to the sound of the forest and tyres gripping the soil.... Rather than ardcore D&B! Then again, it could be worse, house with warped pitched up and down vocal samples!
Guys I love the show my man you gotta change the “dubstep” music. It’s horrific and just so off point. Just my 2 cents. Otherwise keep the shoes coming!
Biketrips with friend is always awesome. The spectral looks very cool but... We have now: a Lux trail 120mm Neuron 140mm Spectral 125 140mm Spectral 150mm. Why should anybody now buy the Neuron. If you are a light trail/speed oriënted you buy a Lux trail. If you like more bike adventures/trailrider you but a Spectral.
The new Neuron is still the ultimate trail bike, best of both worlds, better trail geo, lighter and with a good set of tires very capable on enduro trails as well. And much better value for money than the new spectral.
@@KrJayK but is the new spectral that as well. Now 150/140 instead of 160/150. I think with 150/140 its more allround now.The Neuron went from 130-120 to 140-125. They are very close now. I would choose rather the spectral now as a trailbike then a Neuron. And the Lux Trail is also very capable as a light trailbike now, Especially with good trail tires.
Looks like the AL spectral has been downgraded, the new 6 is now the current AL5 but with DTSwiss wheels and the new 5 is a lower specced AL5. I guess they've gone away from the enduro side of things and focused more on a trail bike and brought the price down to make the bikes more affordable. Could be market forces as well but the new Spectrals don't seem as appealing as my 2022 AL6 29. Maybe they just don't want to produce an all mountain rig like the last couple of versions were.
I bought spectral bike since 2022. im not a professional and considered myself a beginner. My experience with spectral is not good. I bought it for 5k US dollars, which the price now is +3k dollars for brand new one they dropped the price dont know why, and the frame of the bike has some issues with cracking sounds, including the seatpost. Not recommending this bike or canyon the customer service support is not helping. Remember, we, as buyers, we dont spend thousands of dollars for crappy quality and service support. Im so disappointed with Canyon.
I wish you could feature some of the Chinese products. Better prices, way more power and 1kW batteries. Not everyone rides singletracks in bike parks. My 20 years of experience in the US bike business tells me the Euro/US market is a bit of a scam.
Have you ever been on a road trip with your riding friends? If so where did you go?
Nope, I don't have any friends who like riding bikes, neither MTB nor gravel/road
We were a group of 3. 60km and 1200m up and down, Slovakia.
1. Most skilled on bad bike
2. Me semi skilled on on great bike
3. Moto guy first time on old but good bike
It was a huge fun but the pain was unbearable on the climbs.
We will go again!
@stefan.krause Same here mate, I'm down on the South Coast and ride solo, can never find any groups or anything 😂
across the Alps!
Why wasn’t Rich’s in this boys’ club?! 😅
This is the dream... A van, some bikes and a cool bunch of guys to ride with. Add camping and it's perfect
We'll have to do some over-nighters again when the weather improves! We didn't quite have time for any on this trip but love doing them in the UK
Great vid! These 3 are a good mix, imagine if they did a vid series like "The Grand Tour" or "Top Gear" where they go around playing pranks on one another and just enjoying the sport and have advetures riding bikes, that would be a show!! I would call it The Grand Touring" lol
Yes, and if they have a backup/reserve bike that is awful to ride
Well, sounds like absolutely great Idea for a RUclips Channel.
I love these road trip videos. Thanks guys
Nothing beats a good fun ride with mates. Awesome video guys ❤
Just getting a spectral al and this video was great!

And that is what mountain biking is all about. It's pretty much what we do every week. Good times
I'm jealous u guys do this every week! I hope I start this sort of thing as soon as possible.
Absolutely loved this video!

This is the format i think is best. Fun with 3 mates out on the trails
That really looked like a load of fun!
great episode ! the boys are out - seeing you on the road is great - despite the weather is not that great
What size Spectral you guys riding?
nice to see them on some of my local trails
Sneaky tip for the 2mm drill bit - put some tape around the bit to make it bigger, and it'll work fine in a normal chuck...
Works down to a 0.5mm bit 🤙🏽
This RIPPED! Loved it!
Awesome! Snow on the ground, can’t wait to get out there!
Day 2 for me, brilliant. Just need a pitch black finish because we've left too late and it could have been us

beautiful riding!
if you have to make a promo video this is about as good as it gets. Drop in the ad pitch where it fits while focusing in the riding.!
You folks are living life!
That looked like a lot of fun even if it was a bit stinky in parts. Seeing the 3 boys just having fun and goofing around is great and where they were riding single file on the first bit of trail, some of those shots looked epic. Was Blake running clips or flats on his when he did the no foot can?
So Blake. Since you have a new bike does that mean I can have one of your other trail bikes?! 😂😂😂
Nice Vid again, but I missed some more review on the bike. How did the guy's like it?
Very cool video. It's like top gear mountain bike edition

btw where is Isaac?
IT HAS BEEN OUT FOR 1 MINUTE HOW ARE U SAYING GREAT VID
😅he can see the future cause it is good
RUclips's new 16x speed feature 😉
@@gmbn exactly🤟🤙🤣
Time travel
Any vids with the lads in is automatically great! u don't even have t watch it.. it'll still be great😁
Was great to welcome you guys to Burlish Bike Park. I know Felyx (@felyx303) enjoyed riding with you! Come again soon 😀
#GMBN I think it would be cool for all the public to go on a ride with the GMBN crew.
I wonder if their new SPectrals developped the suspension creak that Jeff Kindall Weed's 2024 got?
@gmbn can you guys pls do a full proper review of new 2024 canyon spectral (non mullet) and do a comparison with 2024 propain tyee 160mm??
🤣👌nice rigs, and a lot of fun
I heard the water sound when braking in the video, I have the same problem on my spectral, could you explain to me what it is and if my brakes need bleeding ?
Hey is there a canyon rep on here by chance?
totally tripping dude 👍
I’m always wondering with these types of videos if you ride everything twice because you have to go back to get the camera for these shots?
Blake of all trades :D
What bike do you guys use
Which Size do you have at which high? I am 1,83
I like this a lot just need to find myself some friends lol😂
What is faster? New Spectral vs. 160 150.
Obviously 160 150 but, by how much?
Isn't the Neuron the trail bike? Its too long travel to be (hate saying the word) downcountry. The spectral is arguably quite long travel for a trail bike. Awesome video! We really need another epic adventure video from you guys!🤟
Please stop music
just bought spectral CFR few months ago,😂
Had the 'ol stick in the bike on my ride today 😅
Such fun video :D
Shouldn't you guys be riding Propain bikes now? What is going to happen with Blakes favorite Nukeproof Scout? Is he allowed to ride it on the videos still?
Neil, Blake, and Richie bike packing adventure video
Good to know Neil also follows the 1000m rule.
Was Blake on a mullet?

How long does it take for you guys to get down one trail with all the cameras?
12:54 reminds me of a scene from Dirt
Epic
Guys I love the show my man you gotta change the “dubstep” music. It’s horrific and just so off point. Just my 2 cents. Otherwise keep the shoes coming!
First, Great Video. Canyon Spectrals are great. Arguably the greatest.
16 minute Video released 5 minutes ago and you posted 3 minutes ago. I don't think you watched the video.
Biketrips with friend is always awesome.
The spectral looks very cool but...
We have now: a
Lux trail 120mm
Neuron 140mm

Spectral 150mm.

I would definitely pick the Neuron over the Spectral 125 anyday.

Why does every bike company what's to advertise their trail bike as some sort of cross country/ gravel bike??
The 3 stooges back at it again 😂😂😂
Wait I thought I was watching "last of the summer wine"

Who chose the music for these videos ? Because they need firing.
100% lol. No music would be a million times better even than this stuff lol
lol no, while I don't always agree with music choice, it boils down to personal preferences
Bro please sagest best mtb iam your big fan

I wonder how much canyon are paying for video like that.
