I made a pot of sauce and meatballs for dinner. I had an old olive & rosemary loaf in the freezer, and I did what you suggested. Bread came out crispy, crunchy on the outside and soft and delish on the inside. We had a great dinner, and I thank you. ❤️
i got a bunch of bagels from panera last morning and i left one out and i was devastated because it turned rock hard. but this worked!! thank you so mucu
Yep. You can also take just the amount you're going to eat and put it in the microwave for about 20 seconds at a time. You will have to keep checking or it will just dry up and be uneatable. It makes hard stale bread soft again. My husband wouldn't eat bread unless it was bought that day. 2 days ago, nope that's ruined. I can't tell you how much microwave bread he eat 😂 i told him my trick one time and he said it's untelling what the hell all I've been eating 😂😂 miss him soooo bad. He k1||ed himself in May 2019. Odd how the simplest little things will bring back memories
Where's best to store bread I used to put tiger liafs in fridgexbyt was rold shoukd just leave out I'm wanting to use my bacon mushrooms and tin of lovely baby tomatoes will the sauce soften or should I do this hack first doubt any reply will be through to me before I go to do this am GUTTED X PLS IF ANYONE SEE HELP A STARVING LASS OUT BEEN ILL AND I AM SO HUNGRY FROM ABOUT A WK NO FOOD JUST CUP OF SIUPS ETC AND A PASTY X😢
Buy new bread, peasants 😑jk jk buttered noodles and bread are my go to 😂 Does this make the bread feel like a loaf of Subway bread, stale yet strangely pliable?
No, the water technique worked for me. The bread was crispy on the outside, and lovely on the inside. 350 degree preheated oven is key, for about 6-7 minutes. With food as expensive as it is now, I’ve been putting bread in freezer instead of throwing it out. It was great.

Thats amazing! Thank you for sharing.
That’s exactly what I’m making and was wondering how to soften the bread again.
Thank you 😊 i just happen to need this advice for the hard stale bread i wanted to use today!!! Terrific! 👏
You are so welcome!

I have used this to escape the Italian police
Hilarious,,🤣🤣🤣
That bread is hard.. I laughed my ass off hearing the sound effect 😂😅
Well I’ll be. This actually worked!
In france people used to use stale bagguetes to discipline people
I do this all the time! Came here for temp and time. Thanks!
I have use this the problem is it doesn’t stay well for very long so if you don’t eat it quickly, it will start getting stale/chewy again
It's for using immediately I assume hun
the bread smacking the table sounds like sea shanty😅
If you must but stale bread is best used for croutons, bread crumbs, etc.
You just changed my life. Bread is one of my favorite foods. I used to go to Bertuccis for my lunch break just for bread and their oil 🥲.
That's awesome!
This really works
Thank you. My baguette got lucky. 😂
This works perfectly.
Perfecto! Will do this tonight. Thank you from Nantasket Beach
Thank you that really worked!!
Now I can keep my Costco bread for weeks, knowing that I can all ways bring it back from the dead👍
It works!! I tried it, but use distilled water, its better for the flavor since tap water can have some minerals that make it acid
Doing gods work 🙏🏻
This saved me! Thanks!!
Glad it helped!
Thanks for the trick !!! ❤
Welcome 😊
Fun fact:You can use it for pizza also
Thank you so much!
You're welcome!
For how long do you leave it under running water?
Just a split second to get it wet. :)
@@BudgetBytesBlog thank you
Thank you ❤

I wish I knew this before eating my rock hard bread tonight lol
🤣 Next time!
Has anyone tried this?
Perfect ❤
Or you can put an oven safe bowl of hot water in the oven. Itll steam the bread and keep the outside crunchy
Great tip!
you can also microwave then bake
Cool hack ! Thanx 😎
this works btw
Celsius or Fahrenheit? Kelvin???
Fahrenheit!
@@BudgetBytesBlog thank you!
Kelvin duhhh
I've used a similar method, but sprinkling water on the top, then cooking it in a fan oven at 160°C for six minutes. [Edited - typo]
Great tip!
What wil happen if i put it in microwave on the same way? it is safe to do it ?
Did the trick
They are like a buck at the store. Feed this one to the birds and ants
life saver

Does this work if it’s debatable mold activity ?
No. Never eat moldy bread. The whole bread is saturated with mycelium and, therefore, mycotoxins.
I hear it can cause respiratory problems. Never eat moldy bread.
Yeah well when you find out you’ll have to do that about every morning because it literally becomes hard again the second day.
Just eat the bread
@@alexabeyta3808 lol
We finished the loaf that night. It works great,
Why would you do it to bread you dont plan on eating right then? Don't blame them because you lack common sense.
ALCHEMIST!
Is this the same for a piece of toast? Or do i use a microwave
i wouldn't recommend using a microwave at all. It may work with a single piece of bread -- but not sure.
@@BudgetBytesBlog ah okay thanks!
Dip into olive oil
How wet does the bread have to be, are we talking just wet on the outside or completely soggy😅?
Barely wet on the outside!
Pure sugar. Great way to get insulin deficiency and diabetes! 👏
175⁰C for 6 minutes
(I think)
Mine molds before I can eat the whole thing
Can you freeze the bread to make it last then do this?
Yep!
Wow, he was picky wasn't he? ☺ I know you miss him. May he rest in peace. I've been through it twice and it's no fun.😪 Take good care of yourself!
what if its alr cutv
Does this work with sourdough?
Yes!
Buy new bread, peasants 😑jk jk buttered noodles and bread are my go to 😂 Does this make the bread feel like a loaf of Subway bread, stale yet strangely pliable?
Kinda worked
I do not run it under water just put in toaster
And the bread tasted like metalic water😔
I tried it today, tasted fine
This feels wrong
OMG!!!!!!
this NEVER worked for me,,😢😢😢😢😢😢
Perhaps the bread was too far gone. ☠️
I need recipe
Bread
Jesus loves you an wants a relationship with you.
Or....or.... Throw it away and buy more bread. Water is just gonna turn it soggy mushy and disgusting. 😒
Have you tried it? If you're just going to throw it away then no harm in testing it out! 😉
