There is very clear similarities between this and 'I Should Have Known Better' by The Beatles. I might say this is better if I am honest, but they lifted the harmonica riff straight off that track, really.
Been struggling with depression, and a lot of the times it just comes without realising and for a short period of time every 3 years or so, I really enjoy music again and this song is on repeat till I feel shit again
Talking to the songbird yesterday Flew me to a place not far away She's a little pilot in my mind Singin' songs of love to pass the time Gonna write a song so she can see Give her all the love she gives to me Talk of better days that have yet to come Never felt this love from anyone She's not anyone She's not anyone She's not anyone A man can never dream these kind of things Especially when she came and spread her wings Whispered in my ear the things I'd like Then she flew away into the night Gonna write a song so she can see Give her all the love she gives to me Talk of better days that have yet to come Never felt this love from anyone She's not anyone She's not anyone She's not anyone
There was a moment, at the start, when I thought I was gonna hear "If the Raaain comes, they run and hide their heads". I can see why they didn't go with this version. A little too close to the fab four.

Whenever I do a cover of this song.. I repeat the first verse with slightly altered lyrics after the break, it makes the song slightly longer but also makes it flow better.. I feel like you can enjoy it more! They should have definitely considered adding a third verse to this.
If the Beatles had done this in 64-5, it would Be a classic. As much as I love them both, Liam deserved to write this over Noel. The pair of them, bonehead, guigsy, Alan AND Tony made oasis what it was. The best of Brit pop.
Cheers for giving the due credit to Tony. In fact he was brilliant, and a founding member even before the Gallaghers. Sad that all ended like this, but the music is eternal.
Liam deserved to write it? no shit lol he wrote it for Nicole Appleton, would be a bit weird if noel wrote a love song for liams fiancée dont you think
@@rossco7214 haha yeah I see what you mean. I was quite drunk when I typed this, I completely forgot who it was about haha It’s just good that Noel let him do it and saw the quality in the song.
Beautiful! But I don’t know how they could choose which to release. Both versions are fantastic. I do appreciate the acoustic break on the album though.
oasis son unos grandes, y son los únicos que pueden hacer temas con esa onda beatle sin que uno se disguste, en esta versión sobre todo , guitarras tipo she said she said de revolver, bajo 100% paul, taclados onda armónica de i should have know better, baterìa a lo ringo , esta versión es un tributo los four fabs , aunque ellos no lo digan!!
Wow, I really liked this version! The bassline is pretty cool, actually reminds me of a quick version of the bassline in Waterfall by The Stone Roses...
Og is the best. Liam doesn't need much sound support. For loudness and energy all I need is The Prodigy. To regress is Massive Attack. Liam Howlett, Liam Gallagher, Robert Del Naja and Pj Harvey are all I ever needed from the "music industry".
Eh poi boh.
I like this version but the simpler this song is the better. That's why the original works so well.
This is the original, do you mean the final production
Oh I mean the offically released version
Far better than the original. The bass and mouth organ really add a lot.
this is the original, no?
This is the original lmao
The bass line here ruclips.net/video/wk3zqdozvnE/видео.html
Bass, Steel Slide Guitar, Harpsichord, Harmonica. Sounds like a tight brush drumstick too 🥰
That bass is so '65 Beatles
And SO Andy Bell whether he actually played bass on it or not...
Agree👏🏻👏🏻 well said by all .. macca’s bass line in rain
Probably all in the mind
Very Stone rosey

Underrated era for Oasis. What a sound this is
They are regarded as possibly the best rock band ever.
Fairly rated they are, not underrated.
@@danieldurchtechnik6804 Everything on the internet is apparently 'underrated'. Underrated is a very overrated word nower days!
@@danieldurchtechnik6804 No they're not
@horatiosthebestest I prefer The Stone Roses, but generally speaking, Oasis are widely regarded as one of the best, if not the best, rock bands ever.
@@danieldurchtechnik6804 No they arent
Impossible to hate this song
I love this better than album version

Same
Talking to the songbird yesterday

Gonna write a song so she can see
Give her all the love she gives to me
Talk of better days that have yet to come
Never felt this love from anyone
She's not anyone
She's not anyone

Especially when she came and spread her wings
Whispered in my ear the things I'd like

beginning sounds like "I Should Have Known Better" by The Beatles (Lennon's harmonica)
EXACTLY the same! haha
Mis Kay smart girl!
Yeah! The bassline also sounds like rain by the Beatles. :D
+Cory Marker nvm its not Rain, its literally just like the bass from Waterfall by The Stone Roses
+Honeystain lol a year later
The demo is cool but the beauty is in the simplicity with this one
I miss them song like this, truly a rain for my desert heart
I hear what ya saying :)
There was a moment, at the start, when I thought I was gonna hear "If the Raaain comes, they run and hide their heads".
I can see why they didn't go with this version. A little too close to the fab four.
one of my oasis´s favorite song !!!!!
OK!!!!!
Such a Beatles-style bass line, love it.
When Liam Gallagher does 'tender,' it works so well.

Those lyrics are great, you should turn them into a song 🤣
One of Oasis's best tracks!!!

The Beatles would have written a middle eight for it.
Ok this his amazins, Liam sound cool, the music is so rock and roll in a relax time. Fuckin amazing mate

The album vocals on this would be perfect

Just what I was thinking
It's so clearly the band, and Liam trying to tap into "Rubber Soul" era John Lennon. I don't hear the Roses whatsoever, frankly.
You can hear Sally Cinamon around 1:21
@@shredder9536 thats typical beatles basslines, check rain song
It’s I should have known Better by the Beatles
best fucking version! feel like to fucking dance with lsd
that fkin bassline goes to (probably)all in the mind
yeah, that's right, it's exactly the same bassline
This demo version has Liam on bass, Noel on drums and Johnny Marr on electric guitar.
this info. was from Andy Bell, Uncut Magazine, November 2006
Zyxthy Zyxth I don't belive you
I highly doubt Liam could play that bassline mate.
I don’t think Liam could sing while playing bass, or just play bass at all so sorry, but I don’t believe you.
@@redbandmedia79 It's a really simply bassline, really. It wouldn't be too difficult to learn.
this is really amazing... hope maybe BE plays it live sometime
LOL these fuckers... hope to hear it from oasis then, cos it is closer to a reunion now
@@cirosarno 😂😂😂
This is amazing
If "Rain" and "I Should Have Known Better" by The Beatles had a baby... 🔥💯🎶

How many different Beatles songs does this sound like?? FFS.
As many as liam knows
Stone roses - waterfall
@Rudy Overlord the bassline at the beginning sounds a bit like Taxman. Those hammer ons.
The whole song is 2 chords
LMFAOOOOO, pissed myself laughing at this comment m8
Lg loves it
OASIS FOREVER!
I love this version...Love It! Madferit!
Better than studio version
Bit of a Dylan vibe going on here
Better than original ? agree....
+André Esmeraldo yess
André Esmeraldo This is the original. You mean, the released version, yes?
Yes and yes and yes and yes
Better than the released version? Yeah.
Better than waterfall by Stone roses?
Nice songbird version. My favourite one. Best bass sound playing
needs more views!!
and here's another reason to reaffirm oasis is my favorite music band!
The bass is from The Beatles - Rain!
This is so much better than the original
Better than the original. Love it
i always felt almost all oasis songs would be better acoustic, hearing liam's voice without anything else
They were a rock band...
@@vincevirtuaNot all their songs were Heavy Rock though, look at Sunday Morning Call, Stop Crying Your Heart Out or Let There Be Love!
This is a fantastic demo, come back The Beatles!
Love this
I love the beatles ... i like oasis ... everybody takes from others .
Beautyfull ❤️❤️❤️
I like the original, but prefer this version. The harmonica adds a lot, and the folk-rock/Eagles vibe really suits it
better than original version.
Yeah Harram..you're not just anyone to me..you are my all after God
can´t stop listenin´ to it... harmonica reminds me of course to the Beatles
Buenisimo mejor que la version del album creo yo
I was today years old when I realised they used this bassline in probably all in mind
Sometimes you need that fire in your belly lit again 🔥
Sounds like revolver by the Beatles
Much prefer this version can't see why it didn't make the album like this.
never heard this demo version before!!
this harmonic seems like "love me do" LOL
More Beatles than ever!
Wtf this is actually good
amazing...
This is way better! All the demos were better wtf!
noo, demos with noel's vocals are worse
Liam sounds just like Lennon in this, specifically at 0:49, Jaysus.
Very nice tune
Banging!
Much prefer this version. More rocking and the harmonica is better. Vocals have attitude.
Sounds like a Beatles demo in a Rubber Soul/Revolver session
Oasis return plzzzz !!!!11!111
