if a recall correctly I heard this when it was actually still just a demo. Noel had sent it to Death in Vegas as he wanted them to be the potential album producers. Such a shame nothing ever came of it.
Already commented on this, but I tend to notice something new every few times I listen to an Oasis b-side/single/alt-version, etc...Although I'm amongst those who've actually found some worthwhile songs amongst the "Be Here Now", "Giants", "Heathen" eras and so on (rather than writing them off totally as so many have), the more I dig deeper, especially into those 3 records, the more I've realized...If they'd simply taken Noel's demos (this one is a good example; there are even better ones), taken them into the proper studio, recorded Liam's vocals over them, percussion--although some of the tracks actually sound find with the drum machine IMO--Bonehead's guitar where needed...they would've ended up with something a lot more clean, emotional, less overblown, and actually with a kind of sound that pushed them forward a bit, into new territory, but not in a drastic or alienating way and without ever losing that crucial 'Oasis' element that's hard to quantify but always there in their best stuff. ESPECIALLY with "Be Here Now", if you've ever heard those demos, it really could've made it more clear how strong some of those songs are instead of that record becoming some kind of black sheep. When I found an article with the producer who worked on all their best albums discussing the possibility of exactly that, I just thought...holy shit. Lol
Awesome. Sounds like miami vice at the start. used to have it on tape, and yeah I prefer it to the album version. It's more droney, psychadelic and sleepy. Cheers for the upload!
This is a great demo and a great tune. Did what it was meant to do, supplied the building blocks for L.G. to put his twist on it and turn into one of their best live numbers, right up there. Respect.
